Obtain referrals and due diligence as you would for any contractor working on your property. All communication between contractor and yourself must be documented and communication via email. Not messenger. Take before and after pictures. Invoice to be mailed. Contractor was pay immediately upon receipt of invoice. I have all the communication between a family member who was communicating with Cape Cod Painting on my behalf. Lesson learned.
