The entire email response (with numbers redacted) we received from Rick was: "that boat cost me ##K and you think I am going to sell it to you for mid ##'s. This is my last email to you" Nothing else was included in the email. He could have just as easily used it as an opportunity to tell us about other boats in our price range, explain why there is a gap, inquire what boat(s) we have and if we'd be trading them in... so much potential. I have them an extra star to give them the benefit of the doubt that they're having a rough Monday. We won't return or follow up with other boats, though. Life is too short, and too many boats are produced each day, to deal with someone with such a negative outlook toward customers.

After 5 minutes of being ignored I walked out, drove to another dealer in East Waterboro and bought a 2021 Polaris Sportsman. The lack of willingness to engage with a customer lost them a sale. I bought an 11 year old 17' Four Winns Horizon from Dodo Brockman, late August 2011. I'm new to boats so I followed my gut in regards to trusting him. He assured me that the engine was primo and the boat was in great condition. He offered a sea trial but I passed on it and opted to just pick up the boat because I was almost out of Summer and wanted to get it into the water. He assured me that the engine was tip top shape and that he would fix the trim indicator when the part came in. He also offered to do the Fall winterization. I couldn't be happier! I managed to get it into the water 4 times before it got too cold and discovered that Dodo is a man of his word, the boat is awesome, it's like new (amazing for an 11 year old boat) and he came through as he said he would on the trim. It runs very nicely and it is in like new condition - as he said it was. He obviously spent some time and money waxing it and assuring the engine and the boat are in top condition. He winterized it in October and did the trim work he promised. I'm very happy with the boat and with Freeport Boat Outlet. Good people. Dodo does what he says he will do. You can trust these guys.

just placed a call to the parts department looking for a replacement part on a Yamaha motor and…read morecould NOT believe how rude the woman was! we were looking for a small replacement part and while giving the serial number she said she couldn't understand the part number. while trying to clarify the number she claimed the call took a bad "turn" and she didn't like the tone. not sure how long this person has been in the service industry but she needs some additional customer service training. we will be using Hudson's or Rockingham Motor Sports for any future needs. We have many friends in boating and they feel the same way- that's why they go elsewhere.

Driving from DC to Maine towing a sailboat on a trailer with what were supposed to be brand new…read morewheel bearings. We started hearing enough squeaking to warrant pulling over and discovered a missing grease cap. Called them up and they said bring it in... Turns out our "new" wheel bearings were completely corroded and they were astonished we made it as far down the road as we did. They stripped off the old bearings, put on a brand new set, and had us back on the road in 30 minutes. Courteous, professional, family-oriented people. Can't say how lucky we were to break down where we did! By the way, this all happened within an hour of them closing for the July 4th holiday. Stayed open and got the job done for us.
