Throughout the years I have needed towing, when I flipped my car, when I have had a car break down etc. My whole family has used them for years. They are a local business that truly care about their costumers and protecting the vehicles they are towing. Their price is very comparable to towing I have had in the past when I lived in different areas. You call and they answer. Owner (Ricky) is very rude and unprofessional . They also take forever and a day to tow you from being stuck. Very pricy and not worth it. Avoid at all costs. read more

I wish there was an option not to even give a star . This has been the WORST towing company I have EVER came across on. "Rick" the owner so he says is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. My father owns a towing company for almost 20 years and I have NEVER heard my father speak to customers the way he did. I called him early Sunday morning at 10am to ask to see if they had towed my vehicle , he had the worst customer voice and said yes we did because the car was on the road . Only a tire was touch the road as this is my evidence that I left my car out of the way not obstructing traffic also left 2 notes that a tow truck was on the way . (My fathers company) by the time my dad went to look for it and spent 2 hours looking for it he gave up and assumed someone had already towed it we agreed to call in the morning to figure out where it had went. I have a 7 month old pregnant wife that needed to go for her medicine as she was not feeling well . That is the reason we didn't stay with the car. Yorks Towing shouldn't be operating at all. Called today as he denied to release my car Sunday morning ; and asked how much it would be he said $315 and has to be done before 3pm. read more

They charged $335 to tow my daughters car less than 3 miles down the road after her accident. They were absolute jerks and I would not recommend using them for anything! If I could give zero stars I would. read more

Waited for two hours. Called twice. Finally gave up and called a more reputable company.

Don't ever use this company!! They are rude and crooks! My car was towed there by police because I didn't leave a note on my car. I had car trouble on a Friday. I went back for my car and it was gone in Danville In. These people live right beside the lot and informed me there business hours are from 8am to 4 pm " Just like the police." Although they are answering the phone. They would not let me get my car that night or Saturday morning. I needed a vehicle release. They charged me for Sat and Sunday which totalled $410. If the county offices are NOT open then they should not be able to charge the public! They kept blaming the police for their charges and business tactics. Buyer Beware!!! Senior Citizens Beware!! Ricky York From York Towing. Sold me a 1990 ford ranger pick up truck for $2000.00, Ricky York stood next to this truck and said to me," I feel confident that this truck is sound enough to drive to Florida and back" I replied that i was buying this truck for my 18 year old son, and i needed something safe and reliable for him. Rick york, and his Father the owner. Told me this would be a great safe truck for a first truck for him! 15 min after buying this truck. Power steering pump starting dumping fluid out all over the motor. smoke pouring out from under the hood. had to stop on side of road, Smoke pouring out. Called York towing, talked to Ricky York on phone, And he replied sold as is, No returns, No refunds. Remember i have driven this truck less than 10 miles. After biting my tongue half off and being as calm as possible, I ask him is this how you treat people? so you wont help me i asked? 1 hour later Ricky York showed up with his wrecker. towed me to my home 30 miles away. and said to me, after you fix the power steering pump, You will be fine. This a good solid truck. next day transmission goes out. now i need another tow to get my son and truck home. so now i have to scrap this truck, or have it towed again to a transmission shop for $35.00 plus $1800.00 for a rebuilt trans. I have called the Attorneys Generals office, the B.B.B and now looking into a law suit. Lemon law is in affect, Being that this company is a car towing and sales company. york towing will not respond to me any longer. Buyer Beware!! read more
