I cringe having to come here and only do every so often to print out some pictures. First, the photo machine is disgusting. It's covered in a thick, crummy, smudgy, sticky screen that you have to touch. Then when your picture order is placed, I find myself walking all over the store trying to find an employee who might be willing to help. There are rarely employees around and always have a difficult time finding anyone to help. There are long lines because......no employees are working! The employees who are there are rude, unfriendly, and honestly, not sure how they could have been qualified to be hired. Lastly, the store typically has homeless people walking in and out if the store and am always followed and hassled getting to my car with them begging for money and harassing. This store is scary, gross, and hate coming here. I'm still searching for other locations to get pictures to never have to come here again.

And often, I specifically seek out AMPM locations because their coffee is fairly consistent and predictable. Not to mention cheap. However, many of their locations are also older, not always super clean, and it's hard to predict amenities between locations. Especially restrooms, which are available at many AMPMs, but not at all. But I digress. When this brand new location opened a few months ago on Meridian, I was excited to see it. I often find myself in this area of town, and looking for coffee of course. But what really sets this specific location of heart is just how bright, new, and amazing it is. It's laid out more like a small grocery store than a gas station convenience store. The lighting is bright, everything is clean and shiny, and they have food options I haven't seen at other locations. (Um, HELLO chili pump. Yes I said chili pump! As in, it pumps chili onto your hot dog!) The staff here are also super friendly, which is not common in my experience at other locations. The coffee is always hot and ready, and there is also a nice variety of grab-and-go food if you need it. And, yes, the bathrooms are readily available too!

I visit this store at leased twice a week and every time she is the cashier she refuses to accept my cash payments and tells me to use my card. She's done this three times and argued with me in front on customers explaining I want to pay with cash and then finish paying with my card. This woman treats me like I'm ignorant When she is the one who doesn't know how to process cash/card in one transaction. None of the other cashiers do this to me. Just her. She argues with me. The Lakeway 7-Eleven is one of those stores. It is owned by a kindly family man who has put a huge effort into make this as "local" as it can get. He serves our neighborhood proudly, and he and his staff always greet us with a smile. My kids have been regulars here for YEARS (hello, Slurpees anyone?) and they are treated like family. If one twin shows up without the other he's always asked, "Hey, where's your brother?" It's like the little mom-n-pop shop of years-gone-by, just with a 7-Eleven sign in front. Looks like Arco spent quite some $$$ to make it look way nicer and brighter. They got new gas pumps and they even rebuilt the gas station convenient store. Everything so new. they even repaved the gas station. Note the pump is super powerful (flow). The gas goes into the car way faster than most gas station's pump. I had some spillage onto the floor while I was pumping gas. Oh well.... The guy inside was super friendly. I went in and told him I am prepaying $90 for gas and he said that was a lot of gas. We joked around. I told him I had a jerry can and right away he was like "You are Canadian". Guess lots of Canadians come here to fill up gas. Well the $90 includes filling for my vehicle gas tank which was almost empty. To fill up my car from one bar to full costed about $45 and so the other $45 was really for the jerry can. It is not really a lot of gas. I like this Arco. In terms of prices it is almost the same as the Arco that is 3 mins drive away. Well the night I filled up was the same price.
