Shout out to Driver ROBERT, stayed at Housekeeping Camp and took AM orientation lap on Green line. Chatted with ROBERT nearly an hour as he gave me directions and advice while answering my questions. That friendly advise saved me so much time and allowed me to organize a plan to see the park in the time we had there. Shuttle service only way to go as even in "off peak" season parking lots fill up at popular sites with day trippers and those staying outside the park. Shuttle has own dedicated traffic lane and zips by traffic except in places impacted by several construction projects. Green line has 20 stops and (ideally) arrives on 20 minute intervals, the road work often messed that up, as the shuttles had to share the road at these bottlenecks. After 10:00 or so they can get VERY crowded, standing room only. After 4:00PM (September) thins out as day trippers and daylight fades. Purple shuttle line goes out and back to El Capitan with a 30 minute circuit. Both Green/Purple lines meet at visitor center (stop #2)/(stop #10) Purple line does not go out to Bridal Veil Falls, Cathedral Rock, Tunnel Viewpoint, and Glacier Point. Either the 4 hour tram tour or your car needed for that. Save yourself the aggravation of bumper to bumper traffic and full parking lots, use the in park shuttle service and you only need to find one parking space all day. Say hello to ROBERT for me, a real treasure trove of friendly advise. Thank you ROBERT!!! read more

Highly recommend taking it instead of the car in some places. Make sure you look at the map and remember the stop numbers. Drivers were courteous and announcements were sort of helpful. read more

The shuttle service at Yosemite is way overcrowded. Expected to stand in the aisle because they pick up as many people as they can pack into the buses. Very sad. read more

Just got back from Yosemite and I was thoroughly impressed by the Shuttle drivers. They were polite, informative, and helpful even when dealing with the variety of problems they were faced with (differences in languages, people wanting to "hold" the buses, etc.). They often were able to provide helpful information on the fly without holding up other visitors too much. Well done Drivers!!! read more

This week was confusing, due to construction in the park; it took a little longer to get around, but people accepted the slight inconvenience of being on the shuttles for longer-than-normal timeframes. One shuttle driver, however, took his frustration out in passengers. He tried to discourage anyone from getting on his bus, declaring that they could be on the shuttle for an hour or so due to detours around the loop. But my one-star rating has to do with my own interaction with him. He would not answer an elderly passenger's question about where the next stop was. The driver asked everyone to get off the bus at the front entrance, which confused everyone. As I was getting off the bus, I asked the driver if he could answer the other passenger's question, and he said to me, (no joke), "if he has a question, he can come up and ask me." I responded, " Nice attitude! " He responded with a smirk, "you too". And continued to stare me down as I stood on the sidewalk glaring at him in disbelief. read more

Shuttle services at the Yosemite National Park is terrific way to get around the park. The entire route takes about 45 minutes and there are approximately 21 stops along the route, The shuttles run on a regular schedule and try to accommodate as many people as possible and pile people into the bus best they can. My experiences with the bus drivers have been positive considering the massive numbers of people they are transporting, I give them big props for their service. read more
