And then she came out telling me that they will take you but not discuss anything that comes out!!! so why would I do tests without knowing the results??!!! We've been with this practice for a couple of years and the last time we were due to run out of serum, we were given a form to sign and authorize insurance to renew. Despite this, they still didn't create new serum setting us back on our schedule- less than ideal when one of your kids is on a biological med to manage his asthma. Today we went to go get our shots and were advised that our serum had expired since our last injection several weeks ago but no one had advised us or had us sign the required authorization form. Even more disappointing is that we've had several conversations within the last month with Dr. Carr as well as office staff regarding our pending relocation and the process for transferring our existing serum to the new practice. Unless you want to add managing your allergy serum expirations to your already busy schedule, I suggest finding another provider until this office management improves

However, you still have to answer the same Q&A upon your arrival once again on their tablet. We showed up 10mins early and checked in on time and got in our room by 9:40am. And we ended up just staying in the room until 10:30am (nobody came in) and he decided to leave without seeing the dr. What a wasting time! They texted and emailed us a multiple times that we can't be late or should give them 24 hours notice to avoid $75 cancellation fee. What's the point of having an appointment? They could have just booked less people than they are supposed to. Because they seem like they don't care about other people valuable time.

Patients should not have to come in three separate times just for allergy testing. A more efficient process would be to have the initial consultation with the doctor and complete the skin testing during the same visit, followed by one appointment to review the results. Requiring three visits seems unnecessary and creates extra inconvenience for patients. The front office also appears to be understaffed. During my visit, one receptionist was working incredibly hard, juggling appointment scheduling, checking patients in, and answering questions, while it seemed like there simply wasn't enough support. This isn't a reflection on the staff--they were doing their best--but rather on the office's management and staffing. This practice has great physicians and quality equipment, but the overall patient experience would improve dramatically with stronger office management and additional front desk staff. Better organization and more efficient scheduling would benefit both the employees and the patients.

I've dermatologist, other allergy, doctors, holistic practitioners etc and completely exhausted all my options. Office staff were very helpful on the phone when I had questions before booking the appointment. My theory was that I've possibly been coming into contact with something I'm allergic to that keeps causing this flare up to be angry so I decided to call around and see who could get me in for a patch test. I specifically was looking to make sure Nickel, silver and gold were on this test. I must have called 4 places who said they couldn't offer that for me & the other 5 places had some outrageous office charges being cash patient. 1 other place wanted to charge for consult + patch test, have me come back in 2 days and pay again so they can exam the patches & then come back the following day and pay again so they could tell me the results. SMH. I finally came across Dr. Songs office and they were able to get me in within a few days of inquiring, I had a consultation + the patch test + follow up and a thorough breakdown as to what I'm allergic to for under $360. He not only LISTENED to me but he was really trying his best to figure out the cause and help with my issue. Moving forward I'll only be referring my friends and family to his practice.

She is located in one of the multitude of Hoag Medical buildings within a couplex in Newport. The nurses here are very nice, caring and congenial. Allergy tests were performed (the method where they put an array of tests on your back) which helped narrow down the allergies. Dr. Gupta then reviewed the allergies, explained in detail how and why allergies occur and what line of testing and treatment she would like to follow plus took time to answer all my questions. She then had me do a blood test and make a return visit to review everything. She really pinpointed what was causing my allergic reactions. Dr. Gupta instills confidence in her knowledge and abilities. She is very professional, helpful, caring and courteous; a beautiful person both inside and out.

Referrals were submitted appropriately with the exception of one of them.However, when it came to maintaining an established and effective treatment plan, I encountered resistance. Despite the medication being previously approved by insurance and clinically effective, I was told I no longer qualified based on current lab values. This overlooks the fact that the improved labs are a direct result of the treatment itself. Discontinuing or blocking access under these circumstances disrupts continuity of care. Additionally, there were concerning communications indicating uncertainty about how the treatment was approved in the first place, which was inappropriate and not patient-centered. I also experienced delays due to authorization errors that required correction. Once identified, the necessary updates were not completed within the expected timeframe, further delaying care. I understand providers are managing heavy workloads and administrative burdens. However, prior authorizations and continuity of care are part of the treatment process. Patients should not have to repeatedly advocate for access to a therapy that is already working. I would strongly encourage clearer communication, accurate handling of authorizations, and a more consistent commitment to maintaining effective treatment plans.
