I hope Dr Nili reads this massage and I hope he will do something about it: 1. Every time within the past two years i called to either make an appointment or needed a document i got the voicemail. Why a well known practice like this doesn't have a dedicated receptionist to answer the phones? 2. I left a message to get a copy of my blood test order, no one called me back within the 24 hrs. So i Called again ( so frustrating) as my lab appointment was the following day; someone finally called me back few hours later with a rude tone that we emailed you! I said let me check and i didn't see anything in my inbox, then she emailed it again. But she wasn't apologetic or anything and just hung up. 3. Same situation now, i called 48 hours ago to find out if i did mammogram earlier this year and if not i need an order. As of now, no one called me back and i have an appointment on Tuesday for mamogram. Dr Nili, this is not only me, i heard from some other patience of yours who actually referred me to you that your front desk needs a Nice full time girl who can assist the patience. Please consider this and also adding an online portal ( most doctors has it now) for easy access to medical orders and prescriptions. You're a great doctor and i would like to continue coming to you but if i can't reach you or any of your staff for what i need then i need to reconsider coming there. Thank you read more

It pains me to write this review because I really like the care Dr. nili provides but his operations are a mess. I have a prescription that needs to get filled every 3 months but the pharmacy cannot get a hold of Dr. nili's people and they can't fill my prescription. Therefore I need to call many times and leave voicemails so I can get them to do something as simple as that. I guess another reason Dr. nilli does this is to get you to visit him. This review is in regards to the billing department and the front desk. I work in the medical field so I know how medical practices run. My husband and I needed our annual physical so we went here. I schedule two different appointments for myself and my husband. I went first. I was told by the NP that they do not physicals on the first visit. I would have to get lab work and return for the physical. Okay...? That's a first. I got my bloodwork - got the results back and called to schedule ANOTHER annual physical. I scheduled my appointment before getting a phone call from the office about my results. If you read the registration forms - it takes them 2 weeks to get back to you in regards to your results - just an FYI. Even though you get an email from Quest Diagnostics first, within 3-5 days. When I called to schedule my appointment, I stated to the receptionist "I would like to schedule a follow-up appointment for my annual physical. I received my labwork from my initial visit and was told I needed to do that first before your office can do the physical." However, when the NP came in, she stated the visit was only for a follow-up and she didn't have enough time to do the physical. Uhh... What? Strike 2. I informed her of the situation, offered no apology, and stated she will do the physical. She was not rude about it. And she answered all the questions I had. She didn't rush me at all. I felt bad because it just puts her behind schedule. So - a scheduling error. It would ALSO be helpful if the receptionist informs new patients that they do not do physicals on the 1st visit. Because I have never heard of this before. (Side note: I have PPO.) Also, if I am coming in for my annual physical - I do not have to pay a co-pay. BUT they make you pay, no matter what. If you have insurance, you DO NOT pay anything during your annual physical appointment. Strike 3. Here's a train of thought: it would be nice to do the physical during your initial appointment, give the patient paperwork for the lab and then call with the results. If they need to come back (due to abnormal results), they can schedule an appointment. Why do patients come back twice? So you can get money from insurance? That was the case for me. My husband went 2 weeks after me. They billed his FIRST INITIAL visit as preventative. They billed MY FIRST INITIAL visit as an office visit, and my 2nd visit as preventative. After speaking with my insurance and informing them of the situation, I called the billing department who kept saying "I understand. I understand. We will contact your insurance and see what's going on." However, they never did. I received a phone call today (over 60 days after speaking with them) from a rude male who states they never received a phone call or new claim from my insurance in regards to my visit. Again, he stated 'I understand. I understand. However...'. If you understand what I was saying, you don't need to continue with 'however', "bro". WHY WOULD THE INSURANCE MAIL YOU A NEW CLAIM? YOU are suppose to send them the CORRECT CODES so that we can process it. YOU are suppose to contact them to correct YOUR ERROR. However, they put the blame on patients and the insurance saying that me, the patient, was suppose to do it. The insurance is suppose to do it. Not them. Again, I'm an office manager at a medical practice, I know how billing works. I know the codes. What they are doing is unlawful. They want you to come back twice so that they can get the money. NO ONE should have to go back twice for an annual physical - they just want the money so that they can charge 1 as an office visit and the other as preventative. I would give this place 1 star, but the NP was extremely nice - hence the extra star. They need to be compensating me for the 2 hours I was on the phone was insurance. Ridiculous. The doctors may be good but we weary of the billing department. Look over your EOBs before sending payment. read more

I've been going to Dr. Nili's office for several years now. It has been my experience that both Dr. Nili and his nurse practitioners are not the best to work with for your medical needs. In fact, I have had multiple instances where I have felt rushed, belittled, and treated an arrogant attitude and impatience. In addition, I have felt rushed and unable to fully explain what my experience was with certain medical issues. I have routinely been cut off from sharing what I think is important. They have made rush to judgment because they are in a hurry. On top of all that, you usually have to wait about an hour past your scheduled appointment time to see them. Lastly, I had an incident with the nurse practitioner in which she failed to complete a test adequately. I had to go back to get it re-done. The two stars that I have given for this review are due to the convenient office location and the front office staff that has been helpful and friendly. Overall, it is my recommendation that you do not go to this medical office to see either Dr. Nili or his nurse practitioners. There are many other highly qualified doctors that are both patient and kind. Unfortunately, patience and kindness is not what I experienced by going to Dr. Nili's office. read more

Dr. Nili is the most amazing doctor. He is extremely thorough, smart and kind. He also returns phone calls the same day, and does not charge for an office visit for phone calls, as many other doctors have started doing. The only drawback is that he gets behind in the afternoon because he spends so long with his patients. The waiting room is tiny. I suggest bringing some reading material, but he's worth the wait. Initially this was a great place when I first started going, but I soon realized it was the worst. I went to the doctor to determine what was going on with my migraines and pain in my abdominal area. The doctor did blood work and stated everything was fine and that I was ok even though I was having severe migraines. She told me that it was normal that everyone including she had severe migraines, disregarding my pain. I requested more blood work and was told no by the doctor that it wasn't necessary because I was healthy. Additionally, I was given a call by the doctor based on a CT scan follow up, and she provided very vague explanation to my results. Towards the end of the phone call she decides to mention " oh by the way has anyone told you have PCOS," it was very inconsiderate and it was as though I was pulling teeth asking for more information regarding PCOS. I stopped going here and instead found a holistic doctor in the area ( which I highly recommend if you need answers) and it was determined my iron levels were on the floor that I almost had to go to the ER. Unfortunately, I did not have a very good experience and was ignored when I was clear about symptoms I had. Though the doctor here proclaimed I was healthy when I went to the holistic doctor all my vitamin levels were on the floor. So, therefore I do not recommend this place. Very disappointing place. Went there as a new patient with high hopes - this dr seems to have pretty reviews. Arrived there pretty much on time, filled out all paperwork in advance from home as I was instructed when I called to make an appointment. Once I arrived, I already guessed I was in trouble - 4 people were waiting ahead of me already. Patiently waited and after no word came from the office assistant when I will be able to see the doctor, i was told that she scheduled the appointment 30 mins later just in case I would not have filled out the paperwork in advance. I ended up waiting another 45 mins at which point I just left. Waiting an hour and 15/20 min is just not acceptable - especially if it is not during rush hour. This doc may or not be a good doctor, but he and his staff have no respect for his patients time. Definitely not going again. read more

I was searching for a new primary care doctor in a hurry (we just moved to CA and I was enrolling with new insurance.) Though I was skeptical of just trusting reviews on the internet, I'm so glad I did. My initial visit with Dr. Nili was good, he took the time to hear me out regarding my health, history, etc. But the real reason for 5 stars is his ability to help me when I really needed a doc. I called in desperate pain with my shoulder. I got right in, he helped me manage my pain and got me to an ortho in about 24 hours! Dr. Nili even personally called me to check in after I called regarding a reaction to a medication he gave me. That's quite rare these days. Office staff is great. Dr. Nili is a very nice and passionate Doctor. I respect him and Im sure if he knew some patients have problem with his receptionists, he would do something about it. My Review is here for his Receptionists. The term Return calls is not introduced to them. First of all, they try to give you medical advice which I dont think it's professional. Then whenever they say they will give you a call back, they have NEVER done that ! They still owe me 4 call backs!! The term I'm in pain, please ask the doctor to send me/pharmacy the prescription is just like saying " Whenever you had time during the next month, ask the doctor or your grandma, to give me a prescription" ! I asked them to ask the doctor to give ma an extra blood work that I go to the lab just once, that was 4 months ago!!! When I was 27, I asked the receptionist to check if I can get my HPV shot under my insurance coverage in their office, Now I'm 31 and never got back their phone call ! I called 3 hours ago with a lot of pain , and then called back one hour ago to check if the doctor had sent my prescription to the pharmacy,.... not answered! I called the pharmacy I thought maybe they have send the prescription to the pharmacy, but no luck ! So, I had to say it ! But Again! Umm definitely not pleased with the fact that Dr. Nilli didn't even ask my husbands consent before having his nurse stick him with a pneumonia shot which then caused him to get sick for 8 days after not being sick at all for a year. Have had multiple people tell us to sue considering he just wants to get payouts for giving shots. Not to mention for 1 year he gave my friend random medicine when she complained of stomach pain that progressed to stage 4 cancer. Dr. Nili has been my primary care physician for eight years now. He has an excellent bedside manner and is very thorough in his examinations and in his explanations of conditions and treatments. He keeps current regarding the latest medical studies and shares them with you if they're relevant to your situation. On a couple of occasions I've needed to see hm on short notice and they've always worked me into his busy schedule. A nice convenience is that Hoag Hospital Irvine is only about two minutes away in the event you get referred for tests.
