I said what I said…read more There is nothing quite like a locally-owned bike shop full of incredible human beings who are truly passionate about what they do, and who have taken the time to build an entire community around that. * CHEF'S KISS * I so appreciate all of the effort that this shop POURS into the local community: hosting events with the All Bodies on Bikes organization, hosting cycling clinics and events for the local Venture Out women's group, hosting drawings to give away bikes to local children, being a sponsor of the local velodrome, running support for the local mountain bike events/races, running support for the local cyclocross races, hosting regular weekly shop rides, etc, etc. I love that they've brought a local artist in to do regular chalk murals on the wall in the front of the shop - how cool is that??? All of the brands that CFC carries, are all top-notch, quality brands. I appreciate that they believe in everything that they carry - you know you're getting something good and not junk just to sell junk. I did a bike fit with Larry several months ago, and I am overdue for a maintenance fit as I prep for a big race in the next few months. Larry is incredible to work with. Not only is he an amazing human being to begin with, he is full of knowledge and an excellent teacher who wants your participation and understanding in the bike fit that you're getting. I felt very comfortable asking all of the "stupid" questions, and working with him to figure out exactly what I needed to get a good fit. Whether you're new to riding, or just haven't ever taken the time to get a professional bike fitting, I would 100% recommend scheduling a fit with Larry to make sure that you are comfortable and getting the most out of your bike. I scheduled a fitting with Larry, and he spent over two hours helping dial in my current bike. As someone new to cycling, his expertise was incredibly helpful. He walked me through riding technique, pedal options, and how to properly line up my cleats and shoes. I recently purchased a new bike from Clever Fox, and Larry again spent another two hours making sure the bike was adjusted perfectly so it fit comfortably. After getting my first flat, I called Larry and he connected me with Carson, who helped me out even though the store was closed so I wouldn't miss a day of riding. The level of knowledge and service from everyone at Clever Fox has been outstanding. I'll definitely be coming back for all my cycling needs.

I knew exactly where to go because I am extremely fortunate to live only a couple of miles from the store in Ann Arbor. I'd been there many times before just wandering around and admiring the vast and varied selection of electric bikes they have ready to ride. Finally I was ready to actually make a purchase at last. I talked with one of the owners, Kim, about the key features about some of the bicycle options available in store and what I was looking for in terms of size, use, range, etc.. She's a bicycling guru - superb at making people comfortable asking any and all questions and then answering them in a thoughtful and easy going way. This NOT an intimidating bike shop. Within minutes of taking a test ride on a Riese & Muller Multicharger Mixte I knew that I could not settle for anything other than this particular bike. The Mixte has such amazing features that make it a joy to ride. I love the size, the easy to use controls, the comfortable ride, the rear seating option for my kiddo, the accessories, the rock solid kickstand, and everything else about it. In my opinion, it's an engineering and design home run in the electric cargo bike world. It truly is the most fun transportation option I could ever imagine. Now, it's time to get one for my partner.

We thought going to Wheelhouse to rent a bike or get the tire repaired seemed like a good idea. We showed up just as they were opening at 11am. The employees pull out the rental bikes and lock them up as part of their opening routine. My friend and I were waiting off to the side when the employee came over and said we were in their spot for their bikes. Ok, so we moved to a different location, she came over and said you're still in our spot. Ok, we moved further away, only to have her come over and tell us to move again. I get they have spots to put the bikes, but after the 2nd time, couldn't she have just pointed out a place for us to wait instead of telling us to move yet again? It was pretty irritating. So they open at 11, but apparently they cannot help you until they've pulled out all their inventory and locked it up outside the shop. We asked about a rental and she just kept saying - I'm busy - I can't help you until I'm done here. We asked well how long are you going to be? She didn't know, but just kept saying I'll get to you when I'm done. We said - well what about getting the tire fixed - how long do you think that might take? Same answer. Don't bug me, I'm busy pulling all the bikes out, and I don't know. Wow. What a crazy process. You show up when they open - but then stand around for 25 minutes while they prep the shop. Maybe do that before your opening time so you can actually HELP a customer when they show up at opening time. Finally, they were done and my friend asked about renting a bike and they showed her the options. She picked one and they got her set up. She was irritated because she's a seasoned biker and they treated her like an idiot. Again, some basic communication with her would have let them know she knew how to bike and that would have helped with set up. Finally, they agreed to fix her flat while we were gone. When we returned her flat was fixed, we returned the rental and were on our way. We were all really frustrated at the poor customer service and kept laughing about how poorly they handled the situation and the long wait just to get waited on. The bike was fine and the flat was fixed, thus the 2 stars.

I had to show out my coffee when we arrived since no food or drink is allowed inside the gate, but that's probably how they manage to keep it so clean. There's also a covered pavilion and lots of benches/picnic tables throughout. Dogs are allowed on leashes so you can include the whole family - even the fur baby. There is also a nice pond and water feature to walk around, and nature trails in the back. They have some fun lawn games to play near the pond too. One trail has a bridge that connects all the way to the green space on the other side of the Clinton River. My personal favorite is the pond with turtles that you can find lounging on logs on sunny days. There's even a kayak launch and other access points into the Clinton River. Tons of wildlife to view - we've seen plenty of deer, chipmunks, squirrels, turtles and cool birds. There is on-site paid parking (and free overflow across the street) but otherwise the park is free, which is really nice. I always see workers riding around in a golf cart emptying trash, making sure the park is clean. They even have bathrooms and a kona ice truck that I've seen on weekends. What more could you want?

The three stars? One of the new features of this park is the addition of Park Mobile being introduced for the main parking lot. Signs everywhere reminding you that you better have paid your $1.50 an hour! There is of course a free dirt lot across the busy road for your convenience. Or a parking 'annual pass' you can purchase from the Rochester Hills website. Our society struggles with the concept of 'the third place'. Parks and playgrounds are a haven for families and a community builder outside of work and home. What in the world is the motivation behind suddenly charging for parking? 1 - The City of Rochester Hills wants to prioritize park access for its citizens? Charging for parking doesn't keep out non-residents and in fact just causes Rochester Hills citizens to pay more for something they are already paying for. 2 - The park is often extremely crowded so charging for parking may reduce visitor count? If this was the motivation I am confident this strategy is not working. 3 - We want to encourage more families to park in the dirt lot across the street and attempt to cross a highway? I have more faith in humanity than that. Oh, I think I got it! To quote Tim Robinson's sketch 'The Driving Crooner' - "I gotta figure out how to make money on this thing..it's simply TOO GOOD!"

Our family rented 3 of the Rad bikes for 2 hours. The owners brought 5 different bike types for us to try out near Pontiac Lake! We were able to switch between the City Step-Thru, Rad-Rover and the City-Mini. A very fun experience. The owners were very helpful during the entire process. They were very passionate and enthusiastic about ebikes. Based on our positive experience my wife and I are likely to buy a pair of City Step-Thru bikes in the near future. These guys are the best! My sister and I just tried out the Rad bikes (I went with City, she rode the fat tire) and had an amazing time! We are both trying to get back into exercising and this was the most pleasant experience without the defeat and pain! Lisa and William are so kind, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient! There was a greasy chemical applied on one of the binding part, and one of the screws was missing. I called the store and asked for refund because this is definitely not a new product and defective product given one of screws was missing. The store representative said this is definitely a new product even if packagings are open. Also it is my fault for not being able to find a screw because screw must be inside of package. I explained i examined the box very thoroughly and the missing screw is not there. However, he said it must be there, and it is my problem for not being able to find it. He stated that i have to pay for the return shipping because there is absolutely nothing wrong with this product and this is a brand new product. The worst customer service I have ever received. Strongly advise not to buy any product from this store unless you want no customer service. Of note, i left similar review on instagram and facebook, and they blocked my account. I would not trust their positive reviews on those social media because they are blocking anyone who leaves bad comments about them.

The ride takes you through the North loop of Kensington Park. And, from start to finish, everything felt organized, welcoming, and peaceful. The trail itself was beautiful with both wooded paths and open areas to explore. The horses were calm, well trained, and clearly well cared for. The horses all knew to walk in a line while along paths which made the ride relaxing, since you could sit back and enjoy the scenery. The guides were a huge highlight. They were friendly, patient teachers, and made sure everyone felt comfortable the entire time. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do and bond with the horses. The entire ride they made sure to take photos of the group and stopped to take individual photos too. I highly recommend High Vibe Trail Rides for anyone wanting a fun outdoor experience. Definitely worth it!

My cousins and I visited Water Warrior Island on a Saturday. We rode the slide first which is only…read morelike $5 to go down once. The middle slide has the steepest slope, that's the one I rode. Typically Everybody gets an hour session on the "island" which is $20 for the hour. An hour was perfect nothing more nothing less. The obstacle course is actually fun and pretty big. I was happy that it is as shown in pictures in ads. The surrounding beach area was nice as well. There were grills there, bathrooms, a small beach area, they also have kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. you are wearing life jackets the whole time and there are about 3/4 lifeguards out there while your on the island. 10/10 would come again P.S Need a Michigan recreation passport for your car $17 for the whole year cash only
