I don't even know where to begin with this review. This gym has become a serious health and sanitation concern for both members and staff. The lack of urgency to keep this facility clean and properly maintained is unacceptable. I've been coming to this YouFit for over five years. When I first joined, it was clean, well maintained, and always busy. Over the past year, the condition of this gym has declined dramatically. Honestly, it's no surprise the gym is nearly empty now compared to what it used to be. On every visit, you'll find overflowing trash cans, clogged toilets, paper towels all over the restroom floors, dirty mirrors, dusty workout areas, and a sauna that smells terrible. Many times there aren't even disinfecting wipes or paper towels available to clean equipment before using it. If the gym isn't being cleaned regularly, the least they could do is make sure members have the supplies to sanitize the equipment themselves. Even tho cleanliness is the bare minimum. This isn't an isolated incident, it's become the norm. I have attached photos because words don't fully capture how unacceptable these conditions have become. As a paying member, I shouldn't have to question whether the equipment and facilities are being properly cleaned. There are far better gyms in the area that actually prioritize cleanliness and member safety. Unfortunately, after five years, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Based on prior reviews, it looks like this location upgraded to better front desk staff! Though they're not the most happy-go-lucky staff, they do greet you (occasionally) which seems to be something that wasn't happening a while back. The location looks relatively new and is CLEAN, which is something other YouFit Clubs I've visited do not have. The gym is spacious with enough machines. This gym has to be the worst I have ever experienced. I do not leave many Yelp reviews unless I have truly had enough, this case being one of them. For some context: I was born and raised in the area and have been to all the gyms Miami has to offer, except this one. I just moved back to Miami and needed a gym and thought let me give this one a shot... man do I regret not going to LA Fitness or even Planet Fitness for that matter. So this review is not taking Into the fact that due to having half the machines not in use (social distancing), they do not regulate the people that spend over 45 minutes on the same machine (the only machine of that kind in the gym). Also not taking into fact that they are way over staffed and yet the whole staff is utterly useless in regards to customer service & attention. Anyways let's continue.. As someone that goes to the gym frequently, consistency is key. In routine and when you go to the gym, which is something this gym lacks entirely. Starting off with the hours of operations. I can not count how many times since starting to go here (November 2020/ only 2 FREAKING MONTHS) that I have called and asked what their hours are because their door, website and google are all different - I have gotten different answers every. Single. Time. I specifically remember a time going on a Friday at 5 pm and they were closed. Online said different hours, their door signs different as well. But closed. Ok fine, let it slide. I try to go on Saturday the next day, so I call and speak to someone there and ask what are the hours for that same day( Saturday) because I wanted to go later on & wanted to make sure that their door that says 8pm closing time, is correct. "Yes we close Mon-Friday at 11pm & Saturday - Sunday till 8pm... We never close that early (of 5pm) any day." "Ok thank you" I show up at 6:30pm that day, guess what. CLOSED. And so from now on I just try to go before 5 because who knows what's gonna happen. I go the next Saturday and they are open till 8 okay, perfect maybe it was one day weird... idk maybe they don't know what they're doing ok fine. TODAY (a Saturday) I get kicked out because they close at 6. I honestly feel like the owner or even the high schoolers working there have access to all the account for google and just change the hours whenever they feel like going home. I am so glad that I canceled already and am just trying g to utilize the last month I already paid for but damn. ANYONE BEWARE unless you genuinely don't give a shit about your workout routine and planning your day. *Last note I have- the people that work here lol. The front desk people have yelled and given attitude to me so many times and forced me to take a survey and give them a 10 star rating before I could go work out. Like literally stared at me and yelled to me to give them that rating if not I could not leave to workout and started following me til I do so. Now they are bribing people with free unhealthy energy drinks to get those 10/10 reviews from people. YOU ARE NOT GETTING THEM FOR A REASON PEOPLE. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. or at least hire people that seem like they give a shit. But I guess that's what happens when you pay 12 high schoolers below min wage to all work at the same time together and let them watch Netflix and not pay attention to anyone but themselves. Lol. This is by far my favorite Youfit gym and the trainer, Daniel, makes it an amazing and memorable experience. I've been in the gym for years but I've never been challenged like this before. I saw a member I used to visit at a Walmart nearby, and he asked where I had been. I briefly told him that because of my frustration with the elliptical machine, I switched to LA Fitness, and he told me, "They made changes; they removed machines and brought different ones. You should stop by and see". So, the next day, I went there and could not believe it: they just did not fix the broken elliptical machines (3) but removed most of them! From around 30-something machines, they left only 7! Go figure out that the elliptical is the most popular after the treadmill machines anywhere! Now, after bringing a few machines that are versions of existing ones, they seem to increase the space between to avoid the ominous look of empty spaces. By the way, I have started seeing some of those faces attending LA Fitness. Professional advice: Only sign a contract after living the experience first. read more

This is one of my top 2 YouFit locations. I hope they are able to maintain this level of cleanliness and good service long term. It does not seem to get as packed as many of the other YouFits I have visited. Everything just looks "cared for." My husband actually just left a 180$/month membership with Equinox to start using this specific YouFit--do I need to say more? Showers are clean, locker room is spacious and the sauna is a good bonus. The recovery room with the huge massage chairs (each with its own individual tv) is also a good place to end a workout and is rarely full. Even though I do not have children yet, I have heard good things about their child care, which is extra but still very affordable. read more

MINORS BEWARE OF THE SCAM HERE When getting a membership here I went with my dad and got the premium membership as a minor which is 25 dollars a month and they never told me that they take away the benefit of bringing guests in with you and when I tried to bring one they didn't let me. They charge you the same amount that people that do can brong guest and you can't even bring your own dad which signed up for you and it's in your membership which is ridiculous. To top it off there is a 10 dollar fee to cancel. By the way in the contract it doesn't say that you can't bring a guest anywhere so they don't tell you in advance and sign you up and when you try to bring someone they don't let them in so they have to sign up for a membership. Don't get fooled and avoid going here if you are a minor you will be better of with a 10-15 dollar basic membership somewhere else. read more

There's nothing more annoying than being excited to go to the gym in the AM only to be greeted by front desk people that act as if you're bothering them. The only reason businesses haven't all gone with robots when it comes to checking in is because people actually appreciate a warm and friendly welcome. That's all you have to do. I'm so happy they opened this location! To start off, they is the best youfit location that I've stepped into. This location has many amenities to offer to its members. Some of these include a sauna, a recovery room with massage chairs and a cycle room. This location even has a Cinema room which is something completely new for me. Here you can enjoy from a movie WHILE you are doing cardio on any of your favorite machines (treadmill, bikes, elliptical). The cardio section huge and have a variety of machines to use. Here they also offer various classes such as Zumba, kickboxing and much more. I can't wait to take advantage of all these. Their staff is always so nice and helpful with anything you need. Another pro of this gym is that no other gym can beat their affordable prices with all of the amenities they have to offer. read more

This gym is actually pretty neat. They have everything you need plus extra amenities and the staff is fantastic. To be honest I was skeptical at first but after coming for about a week I am pretty happy. The gym is pretty large and there is enough equipment for everyone to use even at peak times. It is also bran new so everything is new and clean and in great condition. I'm very pleased with the classes offered, especially the yoga. They offer yoga twice a week so far but I'm really hoping for more yoga classes to open up. Both teachers I've tried have been great! The locker rooms are spacious and have showers and a sauna. There is also the recovery room with massage chairs. I'm also happy they offer child care! It's a bit extra... pretty much your kid gets a membership. But the area is clean and there are lots of toys and books to keep your kid distracted while you work out. So far the ladies at the kid care that I've met have been really nice and attentive and I feel it's safe, which is my number one priority. People at front desk are very nice the one who I talk to the most are William and deyvi they always greet me and my guest every visit and it has even come to the point they remember are names. the gym is very clean I think the only complaint I have is they should inspect some of the machines more often I usually find a loss bolt on the bicep near front desk so I would recommend them to loctite the hardware on their machines read more

Don't waste your money going here, the sauna is always broken, the cycle room air conditioner is not working they have the doors open with a loud loud music that you are not able to listen to your own music. they don't wipe down or maintained the machines anymore. The theater room is always locked... no is a big mess. Oh don't try to cancel the contract, they will put you thru hops to call this number, what for someone to pick up the phone, then they hang up on you after waiting for a while, then you ask for the cancelation number and they tell you i send it via email, when you see the email is a PENDING CANCELATION, and they are charging another month fee to cancel IF you don't pay it they will not cancel it, instead of prorating the dates, no they want a FULL month fee.... UNBELIABLE ... before you were able to cancel in the gym, now its impossible. Good luck !!! i learn my lesson i will make sure to tell everyone so no one goes thru this. read more

I'm extremely impressed with this Youfit. 24 hours Mon-Thurs. the gym is extremely big and a lot of machines. Massage chairs/ sauna room.Dope colors, staff is cool and friendly. I have the lime card so I can go to any Youfit but this one by far is the best one! I use to pay $40 for LA fitness, it sucked that they closed early and I had to make a long drive to kendall to work out. I'm glad I switched over and there are more locations opening ! The classes are always full. Definitely not catered toward their working members. You would have to spend the day at the gym to hopefully get a pass to their cycle class. Not to mention that this is the only club that apparently generates enough revenue to even offer it, there should definitely be more availability or they need to make it a point to offer this class at their other clubs being that all their members pay the same fees. I had an appointment the first day with a the fitness manager and he helped me with all the compensation that I had in my body , even tho that I have been working out my entire life I decided to join his personal training program. Especially a guy name Michael that when I asked for a manager because of his poor customer service skills he just respond I'm the manager. You know it's good when a girl who has to push BIG TIME to make it to the gym- especially while on vacay- decides to carve out some time to 5 star a gym. A GYM, ya'll. A gym. So, I came to Miami to visit fam and in an effort to justify all the croquetas I was planning on eating I decided to check out a local gym to create some semblance of "balance". Happened to notice a newly opened "YouFit" gym was just a few blocks from the house, so I came to check it out. Everything looked brand spankin' new and the place was poppin'. (See the kind of verbiage I gotta use to hype myself up for gym time?) I came back the next day to actually put it to use. In walks in, Alvin. He checked me in and proceeded to fill me in on how sign up works and pricing. Alright, so here's the kicker: Because I'm a visiting tourist, I can't sign up, but mannnnnnn do I wish this gym opened up in LA! The price, sign up fee, facility, hours, the staff... especially Alvin... all insanely awesome and it puts every other gym I've been to to rest. Unfortunately, my Miami visit, and therefore YouFit gym days have now come to an end, but I couldn't say sayonara without writing a review about this place and showing full appreciation for Alvin's professionalism and kindness! read more

Over all the gym is big. Having a variety of stations, machines, personal training areas, cinema room, and sauna. Bathrooms and locker areas are very clean and well maintained. However, I'm a stickler for customer service and safety. If you're looking for a gym that will keep you on hold for over 8 minutes, this is the place to be. If your looking for a gym who doesn't even get the credentials of the "guest" that accompanies the member and makes it a free for all, this is the place to be. Which by the way is a liability to the gym period. If your looking for what seems like a staff of FULL TEENAGERS SLEEPING ON THE FRONT DESK not even caring who comes through the front doors, this is the place to be. If your ok with random outbursts of people starting disputes and fights over petty things, all awhile the staff doesn't do anything...THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE. In general, it all starts with management. The management team in this gym needs to focus on hiring the right leaders in order to promote a healthy environment, especially having a 24hr gym on certain days of the week. read more

It definitely has big pros and cons. The gym is very nice, clean and modern. The massage chairs are amazing,better then planet fitness. I love the movie room as well. All the machines are well places and organized. Now for the cons , I wish they would make the sauna hotter. you have to be in there along time to get a sweat and it's way too bright in there, it supposed to be dim and relaxing. Another con, I love to spin but I'm definitely disappointed with what a mess the spinning classes are. It gets full quick. there definitely needs to be more classes back to back being that ONE class in the afternoon gets filled quick. also atleast they should leave it open while a class isn't going on so people can still use the bikes at there convenience like la fitness does. Also, the times are not accurate to what is posted. worst of all the instructors are not in shape themselves. are you sure these are experienced professional spinning instructors who know what they are talking about? I'm sorry but I think they would be in shape if so. The instructors don't even have the endurance themselves to stay on the bike the whole class! making it hard for them to understand the endurance of the class to carry the class properly through. I really hope they get it together cause idk if I will end up staying if they don't. I would love to stay cause it's nice but the cons might out way the pros. read more
