I had an amazing and wonderful time. The rooms are full on apartment sized. Big enough to be an apartment. Could in fact tell that some of the other units among us were peoples homes. Honestly... could live here. I was meant to live by the ocean. Nice restaurant in the front. A playground, 3 pool areas. Big club house for the main pool with sauna and weight room. Kid depth pool and hot tub plus the regular pool. Pool by our room had hot tub connected to the pool and also a small club house next to it. I think there's 5 in total. 2 right by the shore and 3 with the pools. Private access right to the beach. Employees were all so nice. We had an amazing time read more

Spent two weeks here via Worldmark Pros + very nice staff and security +on the beach location, beautiful ocean view +on site restaurant w/delicious food +quiet and private location which is great for relaxing and unwinding +fast internet Cons -pull out mattress in living area was extremely dirty and had to be replaced, and the replacement wasn't much better. I'm taking "mysterious brown stains" dirty. The pictures I attached is of the REPLACEMENT mattress. Talk about foul -towels provided not clean, including mysterious brown stains again (super gross) -master bath room also was not cleaned well, including previous guests hair left all over the place -ground landscaping terrible (lots of rocks, makes it hard to walk and carry luggage to room and not a pleasant walk to beach) -No on-site water filter (I believe the worldmark in Cabo has safe drinking water, this location does not) -And the icing on the cake? We found an empty condom box underneath our dresser...that expired in 2017!! Must have been a looooong time since they actually swept and cleaned the room hence all the dust and used condom box Beautiful views but so far my least favorite location. In fact, it's the worst location we've ever been too. Very much the "motel 6" of Worldmark owned units I've been to so far. Worldmark needs to step up their game considering what they are charging people to be owners. I should mention that our party staying in this room came down with some type of TD or stomach bug while here. *Parking space-- Booked a 2 bd room sleeps 6. at time of check in they tell you ONLY one vehicle per room is allowed inside secured gate complex. Everyone else in your party must park outside the premises with No security to watch your vehicle. first of all, I don't have a car that fits 8 people. it was NEVER mentioned to me when I booked this room that only ONE car was allowed. I spoke with the gentleman at the front desk and I asked him to show me on paper where it says one vehicle p/room and he couldn't show me ANYTHING.. his exact words were "I don't have to show you anything , I'm telling you it's just one car". Spent at least 20 mins arguing over the vehicle situation and was never shown anything that says one vehicle p/room I had no choice but to park Second vehicle outside the hotel. *GUEST- you are allowed 2 guest to visit you as we were told at check in time.. HOWEVER, My sister and boyfriend were staying at the Rosarito hotel. They came to visit and we're allowed in , no problem. The second time around 6pm they were told by the guard at the gate they couldn't come in because they weren't staying at this hotel.. so I called the front desk they said no, they could not come in. BUT YET, They had already told us it was fine.. and they were allowed in earlier in the day.. I'm confused!!! Do you allow guest YES or NO?!? *Beds- very uncomfortable, blankets felt and had a moist smell to them *Sofa bed- even worse.. so called mattress was very thin, extremely dirty with stains and mildew.. *bathroom towels had brown stains If these are your rules , that's fine HOWEVER update your website with these rules and also mention it to people if booking over the phone, I was NEVER told about the Vehicle situation. Second update your staff about the your rules so that they're all on the same page. Front desk staff said guest allowed and then later said no guest. the guard said No guest. Had I been told about vehicle situation I would have not booked my stay with you or maybe arranged to rent a bigger car to fit us all. You need to take into consideration that People come from all over the place, take the time off work and get away to unwind and disconnect from reality for a few days and all they want to do is have a great time.. not worry or stress about waking up and thinking has my vehicle been stolen or broken into or deal with rude people (staff) We paid good money to stay at this hotel and my stay was nothing but stress and worries.. I chose this hotel because it was gated and had security. However , the fact that I had to leave one car outside the premises was very stressful for me. It's not safe to leave your car unsupervised anywhere in Rosarito so you pay more for your stay, to have security watch your car. I addressed my concerns to the front desk about leaving my vehicle outside the premises and they didn't care about how I felt.. they were rude and not helpful or welcoming. This complex is gated and a part of another condo complex. Older buildings, but they have everything you could need. The twin beds in the second bedroom were a disappointment. If you have kids they can sleep in the living room on they sleeper sofa. The room had a nice view and was above a heated pool and spa. The restaurant was great and Israel, the manager was fantastic! Location- great. Decent drive from border and also to other sites in the area. Gated, guarded, and safe. Staff- available 24/7. We ran into car issues and were helped by staff that went above and beyond to help us and make sure we got back to the hotel safely. Proximity to sites- great. Surf sites, downtown a Rosarito and the pier, Puerto Nuevo, wine country/Valle de Guadalupe, Ensenada, etc. Things to do- lots. The beach access on site was great. You can lay out in the sun, swim, surf, walk down to the pier, etc. there are also pools, tennis courts, etc. on site. We did! Food- great food in the area, and I didn't try the restaurant on site but I've tried the same one at the Cabo location and it was great. Stores- grocery store near by, as well as a doctor, pharmacy, gas station, etc. Rooms- clean, comfortable (sleep very well), spacious, and we definitely made use of the kitchen and grill, as well as the patio. read more

management not helpful whatsoever, and don't know what they're doing. when we first arrived. front desk person gave us directions to park somewhere that they marked on a map for us. and when we were already gone from the premises waited to call us regarding us being in the incorrect parking spot and us needing to move. this resulted in a fee for their mistake. the map the gave us showed a completely different spot than where we were supposed to be( but we were just following directions) not only did their mistake cost us $150 but they threatened to raise the fee $1000 for not cooperating. the service was unbelievably awful. read more

Really relaxing resort. Old but kept fine. Quiet, relaxing and they really care about security here. A bit bumner you have to go to gate guard whenever you want to use the gym or tennis court but there is a nice beach access and waves are long and rolling. Bbq grill at the unit is really powerful and good quality. We used it twice on the trip. Fan in the bathroom however is really loud and sucks air out of bathroom into your room (why?). I had a towel bar underneath where air was coming out so i had it on to dry swimsuits but why would u want to have steam or smell of ur bathroom in your bedroom? Also employees are crazy about rules. They keep saying there will be fines. Not very good attidude for relaxation. Maybe they hate Americans? The person frowned and told us to go at 3pm in the afternoon to fishmarket and when we got there everythibg was closing. The same person said we are parked slightly over to next parking spot (theres no line!) And we will oay $50 if we dont move it. The guard gave us key to the gym n said we can only use for 30 min but he will let us use for 45 min because they are closing. read more

We stayed here 3/7/15-3/9/15. I am interested in investing into a timeshare and my friend has a timeshare so she wanted to help me make up my mind by giving me a first hand experience; therefore, she invited myself and my partner as her guest to this resort. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The property is very well gated and patrolled, this I truly appreciate, as it made me feel very safe. The rooms and entire property are clean and well stocked with dishes and pots; however, my main complaints are: (1) the restrooms are SMALL and have no air circulation so it gets HOT. There are what appear to be air conditioner boxes outside the bathroom that connect into the inside of the bathroom, but the air doesn't cool the bathroom at all and the apparatus is ridiculously LOUD. Very outdated. (2) My biggest complaint is that there is no wifi in the bedrooms. You have to be in the lobby to have access to the wifi. Wifi access when vacationing is a must, specially when in another country because many times phone signals are weak and wifi helps many of us stay in contact with our families. (3) there was only 1 package of coffee for the coffeemaker and we were staying three days. When my friend went to ask for coffee they told her she had to buy extras. This she explained is a new practice since it used to be that they would place coffee, creamer and sugars out for the amount of days you were staying and/or you could get extras for free before. Honestly, the way these timeshares are priced, I figure the least they could do is provide complimentary coffee. Oh well. Overall, we had a nice stay. I truly enjoyed being able to go out to the beach at 6am and feel very safe, but the overall experience wasn't enough to convince me that this is the timeshare I want to invest my hard earned money into. read more

Should be sucked up into the roof not shot out into the rooms. Master bedroom a bit of a nightmare as the moisture kept the towels constantly wet and no need to iron your clothes as the moisture takes the wrinkles out as they hang in the closet...not kidding. Cable a joke if you do not know Spanish, I was the only one in our large group of 16 that is English only. A shame there are no English subtitles. Plenty of choices of restaurants all around the resort. Very conveniently located on the main road and highway. Short drive from the border. The walk down to the beach on the stairs on the left are better and easier on the knees, the beach is quiet and beautiful. Pretty shells to pick and horses to ride. Security guard was extremely rude and even though we contacted the front desk and the manager was there we could still hear them going on in Spanish about us afterwards. Which we speak just fine. It was quite a disappointment to see such lack of manners, they could have at least done it in private not outside for everyone to hear. Best Place to Stay. We keep coming back! We've stayed at Ernesto Briceno's properties several times and we will continue to come back. The homes are all cozy, clean, comfy, and safe. The entire property is just beautiful. Grounds, pools, jacuzzi, sauna...everything is well maintained. The restaurant on site , Mama Mia, has delicious food. You really don't even need to leave the property, everything you need is there. La Paloma is walking distance to the strip and has private beach access. This place is beautiful. Came for family vacation. Grounds are clean and well kept. I don't care for the cobble stone streets. My mom uses a walker and I was afraid she would fall. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. Worldmark has only a portion of the rooms there. Some are privately owned. Everyone is friendly. Except office staff. Did not get a good vibe from her. My grandson could've lived in the pools. Rarely went to the beach. Just for evening walks. Lots of great places to eat locally. Even the restaurant, Mama Mia's is great. Beds too soft for me. On the negative, rooms near the road so you hear traffic. Some people had dogs that bark late at night or early morning. And the housekeeping crew speak loudly outside my window in the morning. read more

We spent several days at this condo resort recently. Located just a couple of minutes outside of downtown Rosarito, La Paloma is a beautiful, safe, and relaxing destination. From the moment you enter the gated property, you're in an oasis. There are multiple 1, 2 and 3 story complexes on the property all painted white with Spanish architecture and Mexican talavera tile accents. The grounds are immaculate and filled with a variety of plush foliage. There are 4 pools, 4 tennis courts, fountains, a gym, a sauna, a large cabana with pool tables, seating areas and a massage room, a restaurant, 2 lookout points, and a long walkway in front of the property on top of the cliffs along the ocean. Plus, the cobble stoned streets emphasize the small Mexican town feel. The Worldmark units, which were recently renovated, are in the back, near the main boulevard. Our condo was on the second floor and had a nice view of the ocean. We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit, about 800 square feet. The condo accommodated 6 guests-one room had 2 twin beds, the other room had a king bed, and the sofa in the living room converted into a king bed. There was also a balcony with a dining table, 4 chairs, and a grill. The decor and the detail throughout the condo unit were top notch! There are granite countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, tiled floors, rustic furniture pieces, mexican art and decorative items throughout. Plus, walls are painted various colors giving the unit a vibrant feel. We absolutely enjoyed walks along the ocean, swimming in the pools, and the overall peaceful ambiance throughout our stay. Waking up to the sound of the ocean, the water from a nearby fountain, and birds chirping in the trees near our window, was pleasant. Yes-there were a couple of things that weren't excellent ie wifi is weak/non-existent in rooms, the bathroom fans are extremely loud, and the tvs in the unit are small...but this pales in comparison to the beautiful environment and ambiance. ******Tips***** 1. Bring the family! This is a family friendly property. Between the pools, tennis courts, the playground, exploring the property grounds and enjoying the beautiful accommodations, you and your family will enjoy your stay here. 2. Buy food and drink at a local supermarket as there is no convenience store onsite. If you stay in a Worldmark unit, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook-even a comal to heat up tortillas. Prepare meals on your balcony and enjoy by the pool. 3. Visit Popotla, the local fish village, just south of La Paloma past Fox Studios. We enjoyed an amazing afternoon viewing the enormous and impressive "fresh catch"-everything from a variety of fish, shrimp, oysters, clams, etc. Plus, the amazing fresh food on the beach is inexpensive! We went to El Krustacio, the only restaurant on the beach. For a group of 6, we ordered 2 dozen oysters, 1/2 dozen ceviche tostadas, 2 dozen clams, a complete fish dinner including a 5 lb grilled fish, beans, rice, fresh hand made tortillas, and salsa, and sodas for $65! 4. Guests are allowed. Invite friends for the day. Let the security guard at the front gate know you are expecting guests. You'll fill out a short form and when they arrive, they will be able to join you on the property. Guests must park in designated "VIS" parking spots. read more

I recently stayed at this Worldmark resort for about a week and had a great time! One of my concerns prior to coming into Rosarito was security - This has to be one of the safest resorts around. It is fully gated and has 24 hour security walking around at all times. A few times I entered the resort in the evening through the beach access and within a minute or so security was tracking me down asking my room number and name. VERY SAFE!! The resort is clean and well manicured. It is absolutely beautiful and has AMAZING views. The pools, hot tubs and tennis courts are all a huge plus. We always walked about a mile to the "downtown" area. We always felt safe and found the locals to be very pleasant. I never felt uncomfortable - even at night. The condo was very spacious, bed extremely comfortable and well equipped like other Worldmark resorts. I will mention that this property does not have wifi in the rooms - to get wifi you must be in the lobby, I felt that this is sometimes inconvenient. I also found that the sofa and chairs had small tears in the fabric and somewhat dated (not a big deal for me but it should be mentioned). Hopefully these two items will be addressed in the future. At this point I would give this resort a 4 star review however I need to mention some staff as they are what really make this resort a truly enjoyable experience. Luis was a huge help during our stay and is definitely an asset to Worldmark. I love it when I walk by the front desk and I am greeted by name, Luis always did that. He always offered service with a smile, he was full of suggestions on things to do and insider information of excellent local eating establishments. All of his recommendations were spot on! Omar was also very helpful and friendly during our stay. Its nice to see that these two guys have superior customer service skills. Again, assets to Worldmark! Luis and Omar made this a 5 STAR review! I will be back to La Paloma soon! I highly recommend this resort! read more

I recently stayed here in a 2-bedroom unit for 4 nights with some family friends who are Worldmark owners and I gotta say I was very pleasantly surprised. First off, as another reviewer said, security is a very high priority here and I can confirm that they have multiple guards that walk around the property during the day and throughout the night. They double check every single car that comes through the front gate and I never once felt like anything suspicious was going on. I'm not a veteran of traveling to Mexico so this was definitely a concern for me. On top of security being good, every single staff member that I or my party encountered was genuinely friendly and helpful any and every time we needed anything throughout our stay. A special consideration needs to be given for the super awesome server in the little restaurant on the property. I can't remember his name, but man was he entertaining - really witty and funny. The room we stayed in was totally solid as well. I don't know if we just got lucky, but everything was updated and couldn't have been more comfortable. I think the only thing that was lacking was water pressure, but I'm ultra picky about that. Oh, and every WorldMark room has it's own gas grill on the balcony/patio! Tons of people were grilling on Sunday night. And finally, as I'm sure you can see in the photos, the grounds here are pretty top notch. The property is shared/combined with at least 2 other rental companies and private ownerships so it's pretty huge - 3 pools/communal lounge/party areas (some with ocean views) and tons of space to walk around and stroll the cliffside for a view of the sunset with easy beach access. All-in-all I would highly recommend this place for a few nights stay and/or to encourage buying into a timeshare with WorldMark. I'll definitely be back. read more

Well to I wish I can give this resort a complete 5 stars while I stayed here I stayed during August 22-25th, I checked in first since other guest were going to arrive he following day the service man who attended me was helpful and let me know that just putting the name down the other guest won't have a problem checking in as well, the following day my uncle came in and tried to check in the device person helping him was rude and was saying that my confirmation wasn't there not until my uncle got me on the phone that's when they cooperated but overall the rooms were nice, clean just know that the plumbing is not great it is Mexico so be cautious with the pipes also I got engaged while on my stay my fiancé tried asking the front for help and they denied any help which sucks because at least they could of suggested something also great plus there's a 7-11 up the street and you seriously take one road to get to anywhere also all the attractions is not far from resort!!! read more

We have stayed here many summers. Very secure clean grounds. Security guards patrol reguraly. Nice pools and beach. The only shortcoming is a shortage of parking at times. If you need more than one space and you end up parking outside, in front, probably about 50/50 chance your car can get robbed. read more

The place is nice overall, beautiful location, good security, But the security/hoa is the problem. I headed from IB to visit a friend I hadn't seen in 20+years. She was told by the management that I could get a guest pass, but when I got there, I was told I could not enter as they were at capacity (the condo could only accommodate 6, according to the rules). I just wanted to spend a few hours with an old friends, but was forced to meet up with them at the Rosarito Beach Hotel, and then head back. The security guard, Carlos, said if I tried to enter I would be faced with a $50 fine, and be immediately expelled. If you are considering this as a timeshare, think twice. read more

This place is great. Close enough but with good space away from town. It's an easy walk on the sandy beach into main Rosarito. Bring surf boards, boogie boards, chairs, etc this beach is perfect for kids and adults. Hunt for sea glass, explore tide pools it is right out the front door and a short walk. They do care about parking and kids in the spa. Other than that, having a blast. Onnsite restaurant is great and reasonable. Israel is fabulous - tip him well!! read more

The location of worlmark units exposes 1 bedroom to loud traffic of the 4 lanes immediately adjacent to the building and 2 more lanes nearby. It is impossible to keep the window open in that bedroom at all hours of the day due to noise. The plumbing offers weak shower stream and a delay of hot water of 1 minute. The balcony railing is set at approximately at 33 inches whixh is very low and poses a hazard for falling out if one was to trip on the balcony. The men's sauna wood first step is shaky and it felt unstable under my 170 lbs. Shower head was missing on one of the showers near sauna. Overall, the amenities in the club are outdated, from moldy showers to bathroom stalls missing clothing hooks. In the unit, the fan in the bathroom is very loud and exhausts into the unit. The grounds are not paved, but have small stones (pavers) burried in the ground, which makes it a fall hazard for elderly. The staff is attentive, location of resort is convinient to nearby stores and fairly secluded beach. read more
