Been coming to this spot for years. Always get the 1BR suite. 1BR, 2BATH, kitchen (fridge, stove, pans, silverware, cups, etc), living room (couches w/pull out bed), nice patio overlooking the pool and ocean. Not to mention, great central location to all the bars, clubs, restaurants, etc. Walking distance to everything unless you want to leave town. Pool, jacuzzi, and adult jacuzzi. There's other amenities as well like fireplaces outside, firepits, bbq stations, etc. Paid about $180/night. The staff tries with customer service. Only thing is they don't ask to clean your room like a regular hotel or replenish towels. You have to ask for it, if not, they will never come. Other than that, place is legit.

We stayed here 8/29-8/31/14 Labor Day weekend. We had reserved 4 bedroom condo and a 2 bedroom condo. I had stayed in the 4 bedroom and everything was stocked. At first the check-in office was across the hotel with a small private parking lot. I did not see the details on any holds, fees, etc. But the hotel did allow three cars to park in the hotel building's gated parking lot. Other cars could park at the other non-gated (but with 24-hour surveillance) lot in front of the check-in office. Upon arrival we did notice the elevator had a 5 person weight capacity which I did test it out with 7 people and believe me, we almost got stuck. The elevator doors opened slightly in between floors and skipped a floor. Our room's AC did work in our condo/suite. It cooled every room but mostly the living room got most of the super cold air. Our water pressure in the bathroom was weak. I had to turn the knob all the way in order to get water flowing. Sadly this hotel had no housekeeping nor extra rolls of toilet paper, so remember to bring some in general when coming to Rosarito because some bathrooms/venues in the city make money selling toilet paper. We did get WiFi but no phones. This place was ok for the price, if you want a better quality hotel choose elsewhere. What I like about this hotel is the walking distance to Papas & Beer, Coco Beach and the actual beach. The walk is two blocks away and there's always police passing by all times of the day. I had parked my car on the non-gated lot which left me peeking out my window every 5 hours to see if anything sketchy happened and my car was safe. Also there's little shops in front of the hotel that sell hammocks, candy, sandals pretty much any knick-knack touristy items. This place is A-OK!

Well I must say I feel bad for these viewers that comment low stars. As for me. I'll give 5 stars to the hotel. Staff have been very polite And prices are a bit high but it's worth it. $240 a night but you have your very own condo with all appliances needed. Very luxury furniture and the mind blowing ocean view from the 10th floor. You could bring your very own BBQ and tents to have fun down the beach. The hotel is also loaded with a pool and Jacuzzi. They are very strict with security. And all the clubs are just a block away. Your vehicle stays protected inside the hotel with guards walking around making sure there's no intruders. It's worth paying extra for the protection of your family.

This is my favorite place to stay in Rosarito I recommend to all of you, The second that I walk in the room it was very beautiful and cozy the view is amazing from the 8th floor the two room have their own bathroom and shower, all the clubs are nearby, you could walk to the beach and down town, the pool is very clean everyone that works here are very friendly, the owner is very nice and easy to get in contact with and he replies very quick I can't wait to come back again. Thank you Rick for everything it felt like home.

In the first room, the air conditioning was not working properly and the room was uncomfortably warm. The dresser drawers would not stay closed. The room door was also in poor condition when opening and closing it, the wood around the frame was visibly splitting and separating, and the door did not appear secure. I requested a room change due to these concerns. The second room also had issues. The mattresses were heavily worn and sunken, making sleep uncomfortable. There was an unpleasant odor in the room, and no extra pillows or blankets were available. The pool area appeared poorly maintained. The smaller pool near the jacuzzi had murky water and visible surface buildup. The larger pool appeared cleaner but was very cold and not in use by many guests. Overall, the property condition felt more like a low-end motel than what would be expected from a hotel with this reputation. I would not recommend staying here.

The Junior Suite looks nice, but too pricey for what you get, at $177+ tax US/night. The grounds are also really nice, and it's located right on a beautiful cove beach. There's a cute little bar upstairs, which serves the best fresh margaritas. The rooms themselves need improvement, though. There's room for a fridge, but no fridge. There's a closet, but no hangers. The shower curtain in the bathroom was crusted with dirt. Sheets and towels were really old, too, and need to be replaced. In recent years, they've added Sunrio restaurant and bar right on the beach. A bit upscale and gorgeous views. They also added a spa, but pretty pricey at $70 US for one hour massage. Very peaceful in the mornings. Weekend nights can be loud with weddings, live music, and other special events. But I always love returning to this spot.

We stayed in the penthouse with the jacuzzi at Hotel Festival Plaza in Playas de Rosarito, and…read moreunfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The positives first: the ocean views are absolutely amazing and easily the best part of the stay. Everything else fell far short of expectations. The room had no coffee maker or refrigerator, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the room was dirty, and the curtains were broken. The elevator was out of service, which made getting to the penthouse difficult. There was no air conditioning, and throughout the night there was a constant loud engine or mechanical noise somewhere in the building that made it very hard to sleep. Another annoyance was the mandatory red wristband that guests are required to wear 24/7. If you lose it, you're charged a fee. It felt more like we were attending a Las Vegas party than staying at a hotel where we should be able to relax. The incredible ocean view is the only reason this isn't a one-star experience. Unless major improvements are made to the cleanliness, maintenance, comfort, and guest experience, I would not stay here again.

I stayed at Hotel Festival Plaza in Rosarito for my birthday getaway, and while we still managed to…read moremake wonderful memories together, this hotel definitely had its pros and cons. The biggest advantage is the location. It's right in the heart of Rosarito, within walking distance of the strip, restaurants, bars, shopping, and the beach. We rarely had to use our car, which was incredibly convenient. The hotel also offers reserved parking with a security guard, which gave us peace of mind. However, the parking lot is extremely small, and once we found a spot, we were hesitant to leave because we weren't sure we'd find another one. Now for the downsides. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation, this is probably not the hotel for you. Music was blasting all day and all night long. Even with the sliding door completely closed, the noise was impossible to block out. Since there is no air conditioning--only two very old ceiling fans--the room became hot, humid, and musty whenever we tried to keep the noise out. We stayed in the penthouse with the indoor jacuzzi tub, which was a nice feature, but the room was still extremely humid. The only way to cool it down was by opening both the sliding glass door and the front door to create a cross breeze. Thankfully, the ocean breeze helped a little, but it wasn't enough. In the end, we actually checked out a day early because we simply couldn't take the constant loud music and unbearable heat any longer. Another thing to be aware of is that the standard rooms do not include a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, or air conditioning. From what we were told, only the casitas offer those amenities, so keep that in mind when booking your stay. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was disappointing. The floors were very dusty, and my husband's socks ended up covered in long blonde and red hairs--even though I have black hair. We laughed about it, and I joked that he must have had quite the night while I was sleeping. Sometimes humor is the only way to deal with situations like that. The curtains were also broken. The curtain rod kept falling down, so we had to get creative and use one of my hair ties and a water bottle just to keep the curtains from blowing all over the room whenever the breeze came through. The bed felt like sleeping on a rock, and the pillows flattened the moment you laid your head on them, making it difficult to get comfortable. To top it off, the elevator was broken during our stay. The one thing this hotel absolutely got right was the view. The ocean view from our room was breathtaking and easily the highlight of our stay. Overall, I would only recommend Hotel Festival Plaza if your top priority is being in the center of all the nightlife and you don't mind loud music, basic accommodations, and several maintenance issues. If you're looking for peace, comfort, and a relaxing getaway, I would recommend staying somewhere else.

Double Charging: I was charged twice for my room reservation. 2. Additional Cash Payment: Upon arrival, a hotel staff member demanded an additional cash payment directly to her in order to provide the room key. As I had no immediate alternative, I paid the requested amount. 3. Breakfast Issue: My booking included breakfast, which was prepaid; however, I was informed that breakfast was not included. 4. Incorrect Room Type: I booked a room with one queen-size bed but was given a room with two very small beds instead. In addition to the above, the condition of the room was unacceptable and raised serious hygiene and safety concerns: * The bed sheets were extremely dirty, and one sheet appeared to have a hot-burn mark. * The towels were very dirty and appeared unhygienic. * The walls were visibly dirty and poorly maintained. * There was hair falling and scattered throughout the room. * The room had a very strong and unpleasant odor. * The bathroom was extremely dirty, and there was an exposed manhole/metal opening that appeared dangerous and posed a safety risk. * There was no hot water available in the shower. * The heater unit frequently switched off and could not be properly operated. There was no remote control provided, and staff refused to give me one when requested. When I raised these concerns with the hotel staff, I was advised to contact the hotel owner rather than receiving assistance. I found this response highly unprofessional. Cheap price-depends on your expectations, if your particular (aka Anal) then your view is it was overpriced Parking, unless there's a big event going on, good luck and/or your lose your spot in front of door. It has common motel amenities (hopefully, I read old reviews stating they didn't have a mini fridge or working stove top, etc. It's kinda cute cabana style, ours was the lower priced, no frills, not pictured on their website, some parts dated, some parts w/minor imperfections, some cool modern Mexican artsy, cold be romantic for the newly in love, little cozy, but for a person who doesn't aim high in lodging. Did I miss anything? Pet friendly (yay, but your pets should be up to date w/immunizations-to go back home/border) and people should leash, but they don't ;( For it being winter & a rainy cold day/night, hot water in our room did work, but not really hot, not cold, balanced unless you like hotter? Your out of luck. You could probably pile people in your room, might need air mattress as the floors are concrete. Your next to a Italian restaurant, Casino & bar club, and close to, if not on strip. (short drive/ride - bike or horse back) Our room had plenty of storage for two people. Of course it's very thrifty diy kinda style. And we had a small ironing board/iron. Staff was polite & accommodating, when you go to them. THE CONS: Upper case emphasis, because they are important details. No AC/Heating, being winter & a rainstorm weekend, we would have froze our asses off if we hadn't bought a cheaply made heater (but not cheap in price) from Walmart, thick plushy mink (Korean, ironically?!) blankets from Puerto Nuevo that were overpriced for out there because it was nighttime & shops in Tijuana were closed. Had it not been for those two items, would have had to drink ourselves to sleep. (For those middle aged & past that party stage) remember floors are concrete too :/ Small note: someone on website review stated they did ask for a heater & told they were all being used, that would have been the case since it was already raining when we got there. Summer can imagine it's hot & humid-bring a large floor van. Leaks due to rainstorm found randomly in kitchen & bathroom floors. No room service during your stay. One roll of TP, so you'll have to ask for another Only two towels, so you should ask for more like one for the floor (no mat) Our bathroom was tiny. No carpet Not sure if stove work, we didn't use & from what I read from the website reviews, u needed to ask for the propane Leaky iron Pictures on their link don't include the cheaper rooms, & from what I read, the more expensive luxury rooms didn't look at all like what's on their website as well Luckily it was winter & rainy so no loud noises from either walls of room, but keep in mind it can be noisy since it's a party beach town atmosphere. And that your next door to a bar club casino-God knows what kinds of noises, bring good noise canceling headphones Also, you'll never know what to expect by whose staying next to you, but the witless youngsters next to us came outside the morning we were leaving, plopped themselves on planter median that was facing our window we opened/tied curtains, drinking coffee staring at us as we're packing....WTF & who the f&@ does that? Oh wait ignorant rude people. All rooms there have their private enclosed patio/porch & why the hell didn't they sit in front of their room??? Yes children, there are a lot of unschooled people that lack respect & etiquette. Found a bug in the restroom, that's expected. Although kitchen window was frosted, there was a portion that was clear, the curtains although blackouts, were too small for windows, that anyone can see right through your room. I had a binder of docs w/me I used, plus instructions for portable heater to block it. What that purpose of window was, I'll never know except for perves & people to peep in. Those remarks above say it all for me. It wasn't that bad, this can be revamped into a better motel. It's got potential! Would I recommend this place? Of course! But only w/few critical comments from what I mentioned.
