From the very beginning she made me feel comfortable in front of the camera. She walked me through the process all while making the pictures come out so soft and natural. When we had the newborn session, Renee has a waiting area that has a tv, snacks, drinks, and a couch. She encouraged us to relax and nap if we wanted (having a newborn is tiring.) Her studio is probably the cutest thing I've ever seen. She brought the baby out when she was hungry so I could nurse her and then went right back to pictures. We asked her to photograph our parents and us (their children and families) for their 50th wedding anniversary. There were 6 adults and 6 kids ages 1-13, and she captured many great photos with different groupings of our families, incorporating ideas from kids and adults alike. Her comment that "Mom and dad always want a picture with just their kids" inspired a favorite portrait moment. And her time alone with our parents on a peer resulted in several frame-able anniversary moments. As I expected, our day was a flash in the pan. In the weeks after our wedding, I've thought about so many little moments that were unanticipated and so important - that I wish I could have remembered a little better. When Stacey Hedman sent us our wedding photos (so much earlier than I ever would have expected them!) - oh my goodness - there was not a single special, unanticipated, important moment missed!!
