The views of the lake were beautiful, and the serenity that this winery possesses is one that everyone should enjoy at some point in time. The clambake was held in their event center, which is GORGEOUS! We were greeted and seated immediately upon arriving. Staff were all so amazing and friendly. Our dinner was served buffet style and was very tasty. We had quite a few options to choose from for the ticket price. After dinner, we stayed and explored the grounds, took a long walk alongside the dock, and simply enjoyed the calmness and tranquility. We actually stayed much longer than we planned, which led to us working up an appetite again. Luckily for us, there is a wood fire kitchen located on the estate, and we were able to have another quick bite before heading home, delicious!!! The options we chose were wonderful! So much so that my husband and I agreed to return for date night (we live an hour away, and it's definitely worth the drive). Well, aside from our wine guide's name, (I'M SO SORRY) who was EXCELLENT and made what would have been a lost group of women wanting to get lit to an educational experience but ALSO a great time. He curated a list of several white wines in carafes for us to learn and practice different tasting notes. I have never had a wine tasting like this and have never had one like this again, yet. Hopefully that will change during my Napa trip this month! The outdoor seating area is beautiful and green without getting too noisy, and perfect for big groups. There's also a large unending field of grapes - which we definitely posed for an ungodly amount of photos in front of. Hermann J. Wiemer is definitely a wine institution well deserving of all the accolades that I will be visiting again next time I'm in upstate New York!

Nothing to write home about. Food was great. I was surprised how good the food actually was. I had the pan seared chicken breast with mushroom and shallot sauce. It was a little spicy, which I enjoyed. My husband had the pan seared sea bass finished with a mango jalapeño chutney. He said his was pretty good, but felt it could have been cooked a little more. For food, the only complaint I would have is that when they set out the coffee they only Provided flavored creamer. No milk, no regular cream. I had to ask for cream directly and they did actually bring some out without any issues.
