These are the closest cleaners to where I live. I have mixed feelings on Yongs. For patchwork they are pretty legit. I've brought my kids karate outfits in and they did a great job reasonably priced. My clothes how ever have had the following. White shirts burnt yellow from ironing. Clothes that were dry cleaned with a weird smell. Had a zipper replaced on a jacket. They used a zipper which opens now from the top and bottom which is totally inappropriate for a jacket. Called them about it. They totally just had a loud attitude towards me. Said I should just supply my own zipper and hung up on me. read more

Put ranks (crooked) and velcro (wrong sizes) on incorrectly, when asked to fix it was given attitude. They ended up "fixing "the ranks (one is lower on one arm than the other) but made the velcro areas worse. Handed it to me and went to the back before I could get a word in. Very rude, overpriced, and poor service. read more

Absolute worst alterations shop I've experienced in my 17 years in using shops for alterations. The stitching is extremely uneven even after returning for the third time to fix their mistakes. The customer service is horrendous as the management wasn't willing to work with me. read more

Took 2 tops and 2 pants for my uniform to get alternations done and additional small requests. Got my uniform back and as I inspected it, they had terrible stitching. The stitching was crooked and off centered. My cuff area of my uniform stitching was crooked so you can see it when worn. Since they had to make my uniform smaller, the restitching of everything was crooked. You can't tell from a distance, but when I'm wearing it, I can tell. For the price I paid, it shouldn't look like that. It's the quality that should matter, but I feel like they were just doing the job for quantity. Push out as many orders as possible with terrible quality. After one wash, the pockets I paid extra to sew down was already lifting and unstitching. I have an older pair I got done somewhere else and that I've washed over 100x and it still had perfect stitching. They didn't sew down my requested pockets of my uniform the first time, so I had to bring it back and pay extra AGAIN for them to correct it. Price was extremely high for 4 items. More than I ever paid in my 8 years of getting different uniforms altered. I prefer quality work over quick turn around. Wouldn't return here. read more

I've been several times. The people are very nice, services reasonably priced, and I'm happy with results.

TL;DR Won't go back, spent $60 for patches sewn on and poor dry cleaning that I had to re-iron. Dropped off a 2 shirts, two pairs of pants, and a jacket for patch updates and dry cleaning. First round of pick-ups resulted in yellow dots on my uniform and poor pressing. I pointed out the issue and the woman working the front took the shirt back and they corrected the issue for next day pick up (still had issues with major wrinkling around patch but whatever, I own an iron and I NEEDED it for the next day at this point). Next batch for pick-up still had major wrinkling around patches and poor pressing on back of shirt - will require additional ironing before wear. Overall, I spent about $60 for a poor dry cleaning experience. I would recommend going elsewhere if you want it done right the first time and definitely double check your items before leaving. Tip to the cleaner: Maybe don't promise one day dry cleaning on everything and give yourself the time to do a great job. One day service doesn't mean much if your customer has to ask for a touch-ups that require an extra day or repress their own clothes. Thank you for being kind and fixing the mistake. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR UNIFORM HERE. They are the absolute worse. Brought 2 PCs to sew Name, Rank, and starch press. First they sewed the Rank on CROOKED on both Hats. When I drove back 25 mins to get it fixed they told me I couldn't get it back the same day. I get back the next day to pick up my PCs..one rank was still sewn on crooked, excess thread was all over both PCSs. Ms. Young had an attitude andher Customer Service sucks! Plus the starch press I had paid for when I originally picked up my PCs was now wrinkled due to the 2 to 3 times they had to redo the work and did not attempt to restarch and press my PC. I totally forgot to take my suits to my regular dry cleaning place and found myself in need of same day service. I decided to go to this place since it is down the street from me. I was really hoping they would do a great job so I would have a dry cleaners close to home. Unfortunately this was not the case. My suit was "ready" the same day. When I got home noticed stains on my pant and jacket. My suit also had white animal hair all over it. I know it's not from my home as we have zero pets (not even a goldfish). Great place for getting uniforms done super fast! Plus the convenience of having it right off base can't be beat! My friend introduced me to this place a few months ago when I first moved to San Antonio. I was looking for a place to get my uniform not only dry cleaned but also done in less than a week. I have had problems in the past with places taking a long time to return the uniforms and could never find a place that starched them very heavy which is what I needed. My friend took my uniforms here and had my ABUs and ABU hat starched for me. She told me they would be ready in 3 days. 3 days?! That's way better than on base where I would've had to wait 6! So when it was time to pick them up I looked them over really quick and was completely amazed! I have also since then had them dry clean my blue service uniform and could not have asked for a better job! Double heavy starching on them has made them feel like cardboard when I put them on which is awesome because it means they did exactly what I asked them to do! The price is not bad either it just depends on what you are getting dry cleaned, how many items, etc. They also do alterations here but I have never tried it. My uniforms are always done perfect. Can't beat the one day turn around. I just brought a blue dress in that my kid sprayed shaving cream on and they got all the stains out! The reviews for this place are so mixed I was hesitate to try them yet I decided to anyways. Located right by the Air force base, being that that's who they service the majority of the time, I felt they couldn't be horrible. I dropped two pair of pants that needed to be hemmed and some shirts that needed to be dry cleaned off. They had me put the pants on in a dressing room that had a raised stage for me to stand on while they pinned the pants legs up to an appropriate height and all my things were literally ready the next day at 5! They are also the most reasonably priced place in the area with the quickest turn around! I'm a happy customer and will be returning soon! read more

I brought two dresses in for my son's wedding, mine and my daughter's. My dress was made three inches too short and my daughter's dress (bridesmaid's dress) was taken in four inches too much. She was able to let out my daughter's dress and alter it correctly, but my dress was cut and couldn't be fixed. She did reimburse me, but couldn't get the same dress again. PROS: I've been using this cleaners for 8yrs. The location is VERY convenient for lackland. The service is fast! CONS: Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. They main lady who I believe is the owner can be very rude and short with customers. I've witnessed this with several customers and my coworker. They will rarely take ownership of any damage they may cause to your clothing. Careful with your uniforms also. They will often default to heavy starch even if you do not request it. Conclusion: If you can avoid conflict and learn to deal with the lack of nice customer service then this is a great place. read more

Someone recommended this place to us to get a jacket altered. We were given a yellow ticket with the price of the alter and were told this was going to be the price of everything($90). When we picked up the jacket, we were told they did something else that they didn't add to the final total and we were forced to pay an extra $30 (so $120 total). We also originally paid extra for dry cleaning and the jacket had hair all over it when it was returned to us. We paid extra for new patches, and they did not return the old ones back to us. I go to young's all the time however this time I had gone in and I left my service coat with everything on it my name tapes, my ribbon rack, everything. When it was time to pick it up I went to Young's and my ribbons and everything were missing, I told the lady that it was missing and she insisted that she remembered me taking everything off and dropping off my coat. I told her that I dropped everything off with all my belongings on and she proceeded to argue with me, she told me she remembers me taking them off and taking them home with me and after about 20 minutes of arguing with her she handed me a box and told me to go through it and see if my name tapes and my ribbons were in it, so I did exactly that and nothing of mine was in the box. When I told her that my things weren't in the box she told me that's because I never brought them, after arguing with her for another 10 minutes she told me to call the person I dropped it off with because i was wrong. I asked if they had cameras and she said yes and refused to check them. Another 5 minutes went by and she went to the back and told me that she found all my stuff, she had given me the wrong jacket but refused to acknowledge that she was wrong. So I said "oh this is my jacket with everything on it, the ones you swore I took off my coat?" And she refused to answer me, with no apology and no regards to my stuff she proceeded to charge me and had an attitude the whole time. I will never go back to Young's, that lady was rude and their customer service was shitty. If you're going to be wrong in a situation and are you your rights then when you find out your mistake you should at least apologize clearly they need to work on their customer service. This place is a gamble. They destroyed my baseball cap and all I asked if it could be dry cleaned. They completely tore it apart. I thought maybe it was just a misunderstanding so I decided to take in some workout shirts to be altered. They did a descent job. Then last week I brought in some tank tops i ordered online to be altered. I specifically asked the seamstress that I don't think she would be cutting enough bit she disagreed with me. When I recieved my tank tops they were completely ruined. Nothing what I wanted. I can't go back to this place because it's to much of a risk. The seamstress is obviously an amateur. She sewed my pockets shut on my very valuable NASCAR jacket. I collect patches from every track. The first 15 or so patches were done professionally by a lady no longer in San Antonio -- she removed the inner lining, sewed the patches on, then reattached the lining. Yongs simply sewed 5 patches on top of everything! Pockets, lining, etc! My priceless jacket is ruined! Then when I pointed it out, the seamstress said something rude & walked away, leaving me with a stunned cashier to collect $25 + tax. I am mortified. DO NOT trust them with sewing on rank, patches or alterations. It'll be done unprofessionally & your clothing will be ruined. read more

I've been here a couple times to get patches sewn on. They work very quickly! Both times I walked right in and asked if they could do it really quickly. And they did! I wasn't there 5 min. The only issue was the price. $9.70 to sew in two patches that I brought in. And they didn't even give me back the patches that they were replacing. Not that it was an issue, I didn't need them anymore... but I initially paid for those at some point too... despite that issue. They work quickly and do good work! read more

Customer Service was less than exceptional. Very reserved and unfriendly attitude with having to assist an uncommon service, I assume. The host was disinterested in my concern with a simple alteration to a military beret hat that was slightly not fitted. Did not exercise proper customer courtesy when I approached her with my question and immediately was turned away. I am rating this business with a 1 star due to their lack of service and more importantly, the dissatisfaction in how she made me feel 'isolated' because of her obsequious behavior as a service clerk. read more
