I took it to another shop. 4100 dollars later the new transmission shop told me that A1 had installed similar but wrong parts which is what caused my transmission to completely fail. Where can I even begin. Paid $1700 a little over a month ago because my car stopped accelerating,…read moreand all the lights came on the dash. They said it was sparks and coils, which was $1300 alone, plus all the other maintenance work we had done to get it road trip ready- as we knew we had a trip coming up. Well, time for our road trip, we're (myself, my husband and my 1 year old) on the road for about 4.5 hours, and lo and behold, there is the check engine light- followed by all the lights coming on, followed by us not being to accelerate, and eventually losing A/C and cruise control. Seeing as we were in the middle of nowhere, we cruised to a stopping point, waited till morning and brought it to a local shop just to see if it was drivable to get it to a different Christian Brothers location- with the closest one being an hour away. I spent that whole morning on the phone with Christian Brothers Weatherford trying to figure out if our warranty would cover whatever we were about to have to pay at this small shop, the answer was basically no, unless I wanted to file a claim, even though the car was doing the exact same thing we just spent nearly $2k getting "fixed". Got stranded there for a week. Finally picked the car up, spent $200 just to get the codes cleared and told it was fine to drive. Finally got back on the road to get to our road trip destination a week and a half later, and after 2 hours of driving there was the check engine light, and I was once again stranded overnight. I can't even begin to express how angry I was. Luckily we were in a town that had a Christian Brothers, I called and explained the situation to them, and they were very apologetic and made it right asap. Turns out it was a camshaft sensor, they fixed it asap, charged me $200 and said they have no idea why the Weatherford shop did what they did, and that I was lucky it didn't break down completely while driving. Now here we are, 2 weeks later, finally driving home. This has been one of the most stressful experiences for us, I'm not even sure if there's something that would make this right for us. I just know we won't be back.

I had ripped a tire on something metal and realized that my truck did not have the tools to remove the spare. Joe ended up coming and getting me out of a jam and even though changing a tire isn't a big deal, I really appreciated the fact that he had enough resourcefulness to find me the correct tool to help me get the spare tire off.
