I have an aversion to dog parks (often people bring dogs that have no business being there, because they lack canine social skills/downright dangerous or are carrying some illness that can affect other dogs, and can't be bothered picking up after their dogs. There, got that off my chest, thanks. ) I've been to the ball fields before, years back, when you could take dogs inside the fenced areas. At some point the town changed the rule, so we had to stay in the parking area today. It's quite a big space, at the rear of the property, well back from the road, spanning the length of the main baseball diamond at one end and the football/soccer field in the middle. At the far west end is a smaller T-ball field with a different access from Route 107. In the spring, summer and fall, the fields are all in frequent use by local town and regional sports teams. But in late winter, it's nice and quiet, perfect for our needs. A dad and his son came by for a bit of batting practice. Thankfully I brought long lines so the dogs did have some freedom to safely move around and interact. A very successful venture. :)

Great place for hiking and even better for Mountain Biking. The trail system is perfect for a 1 to…read more2 hour ride. All levels are accomodated. They also have a great pump track. Watch out for dog walkers who don't use leashes. I've had near collisions with dogs. Most people are friendly and respectful. Local advice: park in the tiny lot by Chase Lane (look for the white fence along 33). It's a nice ride from there. Cool fields and a few narrow bridges. Most trails are on trailforks. Most fun trail is Dead Fish, perhaps USA Today too.
