This place has always been our favorite Thai restaurant in town. Last night we decided to come for dinner just before the Creaminal starts at 8pm. We were there for the TARO S'MORES SUNDAE. The taro ice cream was creamy and delicious, topped with a rich black sesame sauce and a huge marshmallow that's perfectly browned which reminded us of the crispy sugar coating on Crème brûlée. Amazing attention to every detail! Now we know why there was a long line out the door! We love their Tom Kha soup and green curry even though we now get them with tofu because my daughter has recently became a vegetarian. I missed the chicken flavor somewhat but both were fantastic with different types of tofu ! Very friendly service from every staff and because my daughter is a good friend with a lady working there, we got to stay a little later and experience some behind the scenes action /night mode with disco lights, dancing and lots of Asian vibe. Excellent food though the Tom Kha (chicken coconut soup) could add a bit more of the sour taste to its base. The Pad Kee Mao (Drunken noodles are excellent). They have a great lunch menu and exceptional curries! The service can be a bit underwhelming at times--not all the time but heck being in the restaurant business can take its toll. The atmosphere is okay--though they should clean up the equipment not being used or out-of-service when you walk-in. It's a bit of an eyesore...though that will not keep me nor my family from returning. This place does great business for obvious reasons with a very extensive menu--so much to choose from. read more

Visiting Santa Barbara for a few days and was lucky to find this delicious Thai spot down the street from our hotel. Outdoor dining is available in the parking lot, which we had to ourselves. We witnessed loads of cars driving in and out for their to go orders, which was a good sign. The tom yum had a bit of unexpected sweetness to it. Used to more of a spicy kick in the broth. Crispy pork was good and complimented well by the dipping sauce. Panang fish was delightful. Very fresh and flavorful, but a bit pricey for the portion. Pad see ew was devoured - my kids finished every morsel. If you want to try changing up the usual pad thai, sweetie noodle is a good option. Service was very friendly and attentive. I have passed by this restaurant many times but never actually eaten here. I'll admit that I came here after hearing about No Sad Sundaes from a friend. I still haven't tried their Thai food, but I did come for the ice cream (Creaminal). They post their ice cream sundae flavors on their Instagram a couple days before, and they sell them at 8 pm on Saturday night. I heard it was popular so I got here early- around 7:45 pm, and we still waited in a long line. I got the taro s'mores flavor, and it was really good. I've been here a few times and am trying to get through the menu but this time I got the pad thai and carried it out. I also got thai oreo ice cream and came home to eat. When I arrived home though, the ice cream was missing despite the worker saying it was in there when I asked at the restaurant. My mistake for not checking myself...When I called back and asked to just get a refund, they offered to deliver the ice cream to my house so I said yes. They ended up coming at least two hours later since they said they didn't have a driver. The pad thai was decent (maybe lacking a little seasoning) but not bad. I got it with chicken and shrimp and I appreciated how they didn't charge extra for shrimp. I've previously had the curries which I much prefer to their noodles since they generally have more flavor (but can be a bit spicy) Thai Oreo Ice Cream is a MUST if you dine here. The soup was hot, flavorful and loaded with goodies. Pad Thai was delicious, as was the drunken noodles. Great texture, lots of meat and a perfect (for us), medium spice level. I've tried a lot of Thai food places around the area and don't get me wrong, this place is the best out of all the others in terms of quality of food. But that doesn't mean that it's good still. Honestly, the pad thai was not great for me and I've refrained from eating Thai food in Santa Barbara since. It's also lowkey pricey for what the portions are like - but granted, this is Santa Barbara. I'm always down to go out and shell out money for good thai food, but both my friend and I agreed that it wasn't up to our standards. The Pad Thai wasn't as sweet & sour as I liked it to be and despite this place being recommended by a lot of fellow friends and acquaintances, it was not worth it for me. Regardless, I'd still say to give it a try. Everyone's taste buds are different and depending on what you order, it might be for you! The service is fantastic and the servers are kind and attentive! The inside is also really clean and there's a calm ambiance to it. It's not a hectic or loud restaurant at all and it'd be perfect for a date or some fun brunches/dinners with friends and/or family. Your Choice should not be your choice. $32+ for two small cups of curry and no rice? I'm spending $32 and the least this place could do was provide a small scoop of rice with my $16+ tiny curries. I had to make rice and wait for 30 minutes before I could actually eat my food. The curries itself (duck panang and pineapple curry) were both really good. They were generous with the protein but the cups themselves were small anyway. And they really didn't include ANY veggies in the panang curry. The pineapple had a bit more. They've mastered their curry recipes but I just think at this price point something is missing. I also ordered the Thai Oreo ice cream. $9+, but also really good. I'm conflicted because I know this is during COVID, but maybe I'll have to go back and eat there once things reopen because maybe the service will redeem them. Little did I know, I had been missing out on the best thai food in town. Your Choice makes *the* most perfectly balanced tom kha soup, with no large ginger chunks or lemon grass stalks to push to the side of your bowl (finally!). This has been one of my go to Thai spots for a while - but I recently experienced the worst service here. I've visited this restaurant at least 5x-6x before . On Saturday 1/4/2020 - I called 40 mins before they were closing to ask if a table of 3 would be okay. A girl answered and said "yes, but come quickly!" I let her know we were 10 mins away. Once we arrive, a male worker just told us to sit wherever. Sure thing. We sit and at least 5-10 minutes go by without any menus. We had to get them ourselves because we just wanted a quick bite. My boyfriend went up to ask for them and he said he felt a hard grip from the waiter when asking for the menus - as if we were a burden to come visit and provide business to the restaurant. We then look at the menu and decide and the male waiter doesn't smile or treat us like paying guest and just takes our order. I had to repeat myself when saying "beef pad see ew" because he said "did you say beef" - not that I wasn't already annoyed to start but it really seemed like he didn't care to be working based on my interpretation. They were already near closing time so I get it, sure. But then an elderly couple comes in and the host walks them to their table and smiles and gives them menus right. away! What the... where was that service when my party came in? Eventually I'm sure they are at closing time and I see them bringing in two other parties as well with no issue as well. Okay...? My gripe is that 1. I call in as a courtesy because I usually don't like coming in near closing because I worked at a restaurant before. 2. They treat other guests better? Maybe not consciously but come on? Is it because we look younger? 3. The current waiters and hosts don't seem to care much about their job Food was fine. We got a tofu pad kee mao, beef pad see ew, seafood tom yum soup, and the tamarind chili wings. That said it was ridiculous that the charge was $3 for a side of noodles that was very small lol... PLUS the waiter did not let us know. You can get a bag of rice noodles for a $1 back in LA. Anyways, I don't think I'll be recommending this place because of the service because I left with a sour taste in my mouth. If it was a over the counter, order, and pick up your meal and find a table kind of place - I wouldn't bother to write a review like this, but because I've visited so many times and to have this kind of experience where it's as if our table is experiencing prejudice - nope. My advice is fine waiters who are impartial and treat all guests the same please - otherwise the food won't cut it. The only person who made it up was a sweet girl who got the check for us, got our take out box, and refilled our water before paying. This is probably hands down my favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara. I love the open space of the restaurant, the quality of the food and service. I'm obsessed with this place. There's never a long wait, but I like to go on Friday's because they serve their new special, pork belly fried rice which is to die for. You can't find it anywhere else. The pork belly is very flavorful with a mixture of tender and crispy. The rice is also flavorful I love the roasted I believe(?) onions and peppers with the rice. It's also not too heavy but a very big portion. I also love their papaya salad and their Tom Kha hot pot soup with seafood. The seafood choice comes with squid, white fish, shrimp. It's worth the price and very light! They also have their own ice cream which probably makes it stand out from literally any other Thai restaurant I've ever been to. Their flavors change every so often but some staples are the Thai tea Oreo and the coconut flavors. I love the basil mint chip when they have it. The Vietnamese coffee flavor is very rich just as I expected. UNTIL Your Choice popped up on my Yelp while I was visiting Santa Barbara with my little family. We ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice, the Pad Thai, the Honey something chicken wings. I was pleasantly surprised how yummy they all were!!! The pineapple in the fried rice was FRESH!!! Yo, when could you ever get pineapple fried rice with FRESH pineapples!?! I was expecting the Pad Thai to be overly sweet without any flavor like I have been getting in and around Los Angeles. NOPE! The noodles were cooked perfectly, the chicken in it was soft, and they were not cheap with the veggies. Someone complained there was too much garlic, but come on, can there ever be "too" much garlic?!? They accommodated my sons but allergies so made sure there were no cashews in the fried rice or peanuts in the pad Thai. You know what else was pretty awesome?!? After finding out that we were only in the area for the day and was heading back to LA after we ain't; the owner brought out something I can only explain as a mouth high. It was sticky rice, vegan coconut ice cream, with a mango reduction with rice crispy and edible pretty looking flowers on top. My son got the chocolate cake which was really good and not overly sweet for something that looked really decadent. He thoroughly enjoyed that.
