Food was very good but the pho lacked a little bit of flavor. This place is very small only has about 7 tables but still fit 25 or so people in there. And it was pretty warm. Generous portions and great service. Would like to come back and try the other dishes.

We loved this place. Everyone found something they like and it was quick service. It does get packed inside but sitting outside wasn't that bad at sunset. The orange chicken came with rice and broccoli. The garlic noodle with ribeye was the best dish in my opinion. The shrimp fried rice was also a family fave. For about $20 each you get a decent amount of food and quality tastes!

It is a small, quaint place that did not disappoint. The food was really good! I ordered shaking beef and my hubby ordered orange chicken and sides of fried tofu. The foods were flavorful and reasonably-priced. Service was fast eventhough it was busy during lunch time. Tan was warm and friendly. She was attentive to our needs and periodically checked on us. The place is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and the parking space is a bit of a challenge but the food is worth it!

Some of the best service I've had in the area, the staff takes pride in their work and are welcoming. The food was outstanding, I was skeptical when I first walked in as I was the only person in the restaurant but a few minutes later it was filled with regulars enjoying dinner. The wonton in chili oil was some of the best I've had in the states, even better than major restaurant chains. I will definitely be back and strongly suggest you give them a try if you enjoy this type of cuisine.

What a hidden gem. I've been hearing more about this place lately so we stopped in for dinner. Everything was so good but the garlic noodles were chefs kiss! The staff here are also so sweet + attentive.

I eat here once a week. My favorite thing to eat here is the Szechuan Lo-Mein. It has chicken, beef, and shrimp and it's cooked to perfection. So much flavor in every bite. The workers are all friendly and hard working. My favorite employee there is Tan, she always welcomes me by my name and is always smiling and such a hard worker. It's not that big inside but you can always order it to go, and the portions are a good size. I know this business will do great and hopefully one day they will be able to open up more locations.

A free day in Santa Barbara called for exploring new eats. It's overcast, and after a weekend of celebrating a friends engagement, something cozy and warm is all I craved, pho. Looked up several places but this one stood out. SO SO GLAD I came here. The ladies were so friendly and kind. Honestly, being greatest with a friendly smile goes so far. And the pho, my goodness. Capitol D Delicious! 10/10 recommend coming here for an authentic and quality bowl of Pho!

Wow, even better than I remember. This is a little noodle joint that is a neighborhood favorite for takeout. They're always packed around lunch and dinner, and there's a good reason for that. Their food is great. Flavorful, fresh ingredients, and just really done right. Their noodles are perfectly al dente and you can tell that the lo mein noodles are fresh. There is an abundant of meat compared to the ratio of noodles or rice. The fried rice is not too oily. The shrimp, pork, and beef is perfectly cooked. I have tried their fried rice and noodle dishes such as lo mein and mei fun and they are all winners. The egg rolls are large, fresh, perfectly fried. Probably the best in town. The servers are prompt, helpful, and friendly and the interior is clean and has a cute panda motif. I can't wait to try their pho. Overall, this place is a winner. I just wish they would have a more extensive drink menu -- fruit tea or boba would be perfect to wash the food down.

I'm of the age where a good "dad" joke is always appreciated!

My wife and I have been coming to Santa Barbara for decades and being from the San Francisco Bay area we always lamented the lack of good Chinese / Asian food here in the area. Went to Pang Zi for the first time after discovering it on Yelp and the food was fantastic. The wifey and I ordered the Sesame Chicken and Pork Lo Mein (with tofu added) and it was delicious! The Sesame Chicken was all white meat and cooked to perfection (fully cooked and not dry) and the wonderful sauce was the just right combination of tangy and sweet. The Lo Mein was also great, and I could definitely taste that "wok hei" flavor in the dish (it's a Cantonese thing, y'all ). The 2 dishes we ordered came to around $45 including tax and tip. The wait staff were all very welcoming and attentive, and the interior of the restaurant was super cute with a panda motif. The menu is an interesting combination of Chinese and Vietnamese dishes, and I can't wait to try their Pho next time. I highly recommend Pang Zi to anyone who's looking for a delicious Asian cuisine meal where the talent of the chef is on obvious display.

Every time we've come, we always have a wonderful meal. I ordered the Orange Chicken because I had fond memories of it. It was just as exceptional as the first time. My friends ordered Chicken Pho, Fried Rice, General Tso Chicken and some other noodles. It was all yummy, great service and a great time. There were lots of people coming to pick up take out meals, it was quite busy. The wait wasn't too bad though.

A small corner of the plaza, Pang Zi Noodle Shop serves a variety of Chinese/Vietnamese dishes. We enjoyed the food and thought the portions were large! The pho was good but tasted as expected, nothing less nothing more (we come from the bay area and it was on par with some of our local spots). The garlic noodles were very flavorful and worth the price. You do get a cash discount of 5% and the store environment is overall very cozy, tight, and reminded me of other mom and pop shops. Service was quick! I would recommend this place for a quick pit stop for lunch!

I stopped by this place with my dad because I have had it recommended to me by a few people and it did not disappoint!! The food was delicious, I really enjoyed the peanut sauce with the fresh shrimp spring rolls. The mei fun was delicious too, I highly recommend getting the Singapore Mei Fun, it was so flavorful.

Great flavorful soups with different varieties every week. Favorite food on campus…read more -- Large soup is $4.50, smaller soup is $4.10; you can ask for samples. There are two soups available very day-- one vegan and one non-vegan option. I first tried some of his soup during a cooking demo hosted by the Food, Nutrition, and Basic Skills program. He had made chicken noodle and butternut squash then. Sooooooo good. I bought a large soup and tried the artichoke shrimp bisque (with Asiago cheese) and it was amazing (available in Romaine's Salad Bar and Coral Tree Café). Wish I had discovered the Soup Guy earlier. Hope to try all the soups on the menu eventually. -- I've now also tried the chili con carne, mac and cheese with ham, vegan pho, and split pea soups. Chili con carne is so good. I normally don't like peppers but it tastes great in the soup. Not bitter/spicy at all, almost sweet. Mac and cheese with ham is like slightly more soupy mac and cheese with lots of salty ham. Vegan pho tastes different from the pho you might get in a Vietnamese restaurant but it's really flavorful (with broccoli and tofu as interesting additions, I think it's a more Japanese broth flavor though). Split pea soups: they're good for split pea soups. I hate peas but somehow managed to eat most of a cup. Even the soup guy can't redeem peas for me.
