After sitting in emergency care for hours with injuries, we headed home. We decided to get a drink for the 25 mile drive home. It was getting close to closing time, but the stand was still open. We drove up to the window and waited and then a gal appeared and said, "I'm done." and slid the window closed. I've been to this coffee stand a couple times, on foot and in my car, and they were both very pleasant experiences! today especially was lovely, the woman who was running the stand (didn't catch her name but she was doing it solo. slay.) was quick and made good small talk with me. my little decaf mocha was delicious, and cheaper than most of the other coffee stands around. and as one final note I just want to say that I love how this drive thru doesn't feel too claustrophobic. it's weirdly stressful to go to drive thru coffee stands but this one doesn't feel that way at all! love! read more

This little coffee stand used to be our new go to since buying our home here in Arlington in February.....until today. I stopped in after a ten hour shift at work and the young and chunky, dark haired, native looking girl treated me so rudely. At the end of her correcting the verbage of my drink I paid her in some coin for tip (it was a dollar). She said thank you and then quickly returned to the window and asked me if I wanted my change back in a sarcastic way, basically telling me she doesn't need my change again(it made a dollar). I was so humiliated that I said "sure", "I'll take it back". I don't know if this girl was just having a bad day or not, but I'm saddened to say I won't be back. It's good coffee if you can stand the attitude that makes it. She claimed her name was Keira, probably a lie, that's why I described her. Then she had the nerve to ask me what mine was. This girl was all sarcasm. Bad bad for business. If I threw an attitude for ever .50 cents I got for each beer, I'd be fired. Learn to live with it. read more

Coffee: 9/10 (only ever ordered the iced hazelnut latte w/whip) Service: 10/10 (All the girls prepare drinks quickly and precisely, all while being wonderful to talk to) Parking: 7/10 (It's a drive through and shares a gravel lot with a local fast food joint) Overall: 9/10, will always be a loyal customer When I lived in Arlington in 2012, I didn't drink coffee or caffeine at all. Until my sister decided to destroy my life (but thanks to their prices, not my wallet) and introduced me to their Iced Hazelnut latte. Damn near every day after school I would stop by and see Stephanie so I can pick up my iced hazelnut latte. As with any downward spiral into addiction, I started small at first, with their smallest size (8 oz, I believe). Then one day I stepped it up a notch to 16 oz. "So what if I have a little more coffee? I enjoy it, and I'm not hurting anybody." Thus marked the day I sold my soul for a cup of iced coffee in the winter. Before I knew it, I was at 32 oz and was able to use the phrase "the usual" for the first time in my life. Stephanie wasn't the only one who noticed that I made regular trips. My family noticed too. They started asking me why I go out so often. The odometer always increased uniformly every time I took out the car. I told them that I was just hanging out with friends at a usual spot. I started varying my routes to throw them off my trail. Why did they feel the need to question my activities? It's none of their business how much coffee I drank, or how often I visited Your Daily Grind. I was a slave to that sweet, sweet iced hazelnut latte with whip. When I moved away, I was devastated. "There'll NEVER be as good a coffee shop as Your Daily Grind, NEVER!" I shouted as my family forced me into the plane. I later quit drinking coffee, as all other places I visited never could quite fill the void that was left in my heart. I went there just a few days ago The lady is chitchatting with another lady that she already served a coffee too she's chitchatting to the point where she's leaning against the counter just in a full conversation while I sit there after about 10 minutes I took off off!!! So I go to the next day and there's a young lady with purple pink hair and she's just a total waste of time she , she serves three cars on the opposite side and then I'm just sitting at the window and then she comes to me and goes oh what do you need I told her two more cars on the opposite side she serves and then she comes back all you want is this and then she come in sister doodle daily around and so I'm like literally sitting at the coffee stand for almost 25-30 minutes and so I just took off screw that Stan I've been going there for a long time I tip well and all the sudden they want to play games so screw them!!!!!! They will never see my money again!!!!!! Long story short if you want your time wasted go there you will sit there like you're trying to cross the border. read more

It's a small, almost unmarked drive-through espresso stand next to the burger place in Arlington. We stopped in for a latte before a hike, and it was just what we needed -- and just what we expected at a little stand like that. Nothing amazing, but decent coffee. There was a bleach blond barista here from darington and she made my coffee perfect on the second visit she remembered what my drink was and asked if I wanted my 16oz iced coconut breve with hot shots. By far that's the best barista customer service I've ever gotten and being a barista myself I have the worst luck ever getting my coffee made by other baristas. Unfortunately, she is no longer there. My coffees by the other baristas are decent but not fantastic, as with other stands I don't understand why it is so difficult to stir my ice so my first sip of coffee isn't Luke warm grossness and having to try and stir it myself with the straw as I'm driving away... I came in one day to grab a cigar for my grandmother and I and her usual that I dialed in as a barista is a 32oz iced hazelnut late with nonfat and half the hazelnut. The barista kept showing me the cold cup with syrup in it asking if that was the right amount of syrup?! I know every stand is didn't with either pumps or pours of syrup and how many they use per drink. You are the barista you should know how many pumps are in your 32oz and you half that. Not rocket science. she also started making gets with coconut and I had to correct her that gets was supposed to be hazelnut. I opted for a 32oz iced coconut breve with hot shots instead of a 16oz because we had a long day of cleaning ahead of us and I noticed she only put 4 pumps in mine so I ask how many pumps they put in their 32oz and she had to look at the list and tells me she didn't put that much into mine. Ok, why? I didn't ask for half the coconut for mine. So I ask her how many pumps they put in a 16oz out of curiosity and she had to lo at the list again to tell new 5 which is fine by me cuz most places are 4 and I've always made my own with 4.5 or 5. Then she proceeds to tell me she usually just pumps. What?! The reason for measured pumps is for consistency in the the drinks, you don't just randomly pump and call it good. No wonder my other drinks have been just average. When I got back to my house the roommate luckily had some almond roca creamer from the grocery store to add to my coffee to make it drinkable. Gross, I did not pay for an espresso to have to go home and doctor it up myself with crappy creamer or be disappointed upon leaving the stand. Do your baristas even take pride in making a quality espresso? I also asked how many shots were in a 32oz and I was told it's only 3, so I had to buy an extra shot. Every 32oz I've ever made uses 5 shots. I've also learned with this place that I have to specify that I do not automatically want toddy shots in my iced coffee. You only give toddy if a customer asks our you can ask if they want their iced drink with toddy or hot shots. If the one blonde girl was still working there I'd go only when she is working but sadly I don't care to stop here because I don't particularly care to spend $5 including a tip got drink that's not on point. It's not a matter of being a coffee snob, it's a matter of I know what my drink should taste like and it's something I look forward to brighten my day not irritate, disappoint, or frustrate. read more

i went here for 8 years, several times per week until now. when i got my 4 yr old son a warm 8oz egg nog (no coffee) they charged me $2.75! i did not know i had to buy them a 1/2 gallon! i complained, but "that's what it is". i have since asked every other mocha stand what they would charge for that, and prices have ranged from 75 cents to $1.50. i am done with them. if you want my $, don't overcharge my kid. read more
