I would like to share my experience with Wish of Wellness because it is so hard to find a good colon hydro-therapist and this is actually the best that I know of. I have suffered from stomach pains for years. My Dr. Diagnosed me with Hpylori years ago and put me on a ton of antibiotics which instead of healing me made me feel worse. Thinking I have nothing else to lose (well except for some money lol) I then gave acupuncture a shot. Gunilla, who was at the front desk, was just lovely and welcoming - I just had to mention this! she was always a pleasure. Anyway, I had my consultation with Taya which was very thorough. It was then that I actually realized how stressed I was. I seriously did not think I was until I answered the questions she had for me. Acupuncture helped me relax and, although it didnt quite relieve my backpains (from office work), it did give some improvement with my sleep and worries. During the sessions, the tables are warm and comfortable and so conducive to sleeping/relaxing. Lights are turned off and music was soothing too. The walls, however, are quite thin so me being a light sleeper, I can easily hear some outside chatter if there are any. And plus when the train passes by, the noise can be easily heard in some of the rooms. After going 1-2x a week for around 7 months or so I could definitely tell my stress levels were getting so much better. I do believe Taya and her acupunctures sessions helped a whole lot in the success of our pregnancy and that we now have a 5 month old baby after years of trying and waiting. Even until now, 10 months since my last treatment (since I havent gone back for more), I remember Taya for how good natured and skillful she was and thank that she became a part of our successful pregnancy journey!

These folks knew I was skeptical and they seemed to understand ... explaining to me in understandable terms the benefits of healing from the inside out. There was nary a moment of discussion about leaving my comfort zone (of traditional meds), rather they set forth the worthy objective of getting better -- naturally -- so the meds might not be required at some point. The services here are all generally therapeutic in nature, but there is also some self-healing going on. I'm in this area only 1-2 times a year, and the practitioners here made sure that I knew of a similar place to go in the Houston area. I had called back in May 2022 and made my appointment for July 2022. My appointment was last week and I should have seen the red flags when I was there.... First, my appointment was at 7pm, I was not seen until 8:30pm, way after the office had closed. Once I got in the room, Dr. Isaacs seemed like she was in a rush by how quickly she wanted to get everything done. I was nervous and had anxiety about coming to the appointment and the condescending tone in her voice made me feel even more anxious. I didn't ask my questions during the appointment because I could tell the doctor and the staff wanted to get out of the office since it was the end of the day. The next day I called the office and asked if I could speak to the doctor regarding a possible ultrasound for cysts that I was told from previous doctors that I have on my ovaries. The receptionist took my information and said the doctor would call me back the next day. (I called Thursday and said I would receive a call by Friday). Today is Monday and I finally received a call from the doctor. Dr. Isaacs asked me, "Why do you want a ultrasound?" I explained that it had been over 7 years since my last one and I wanted to know if the cysts had gotten larger or smaller or if they went away. I explained how nervous I was about my PCOS and then she said "First, you are wrong, you don't have cysts you have follicles on your ovaries. Also I don't treat PCOS, so an ultrasound is just a waste of your time and my time." She was very stern in her voice, almost as if she was scolding me for asking for an ultrasound because I care about my health. I am a young 24 year old woman and I want to make sure my body is properly taken care of and the fact that the doctor disregarded my feelings about this is completely wrong.
