If you are renting attire for a wedding or other special event, pick a different vendor…read more Their rentals are poor quality, the rental cost is high considering the quality of the items, their staff are not well trained, and you are expected to return the rental the day after the event or be charged late fee. Online vendors like Black Tie don't have an issue with you taking a little longer to return your items and you can find better quality items and more experienced and attentive staff at any one of the Halberstadt stores in Sioux Falls. You can likely buy a decent/fairly good looking suit for less than the cost to rent one from this store.

To my surprise (I had my husband with me because I didn't believe the superstition) I had lost too much weight for my dress to be altered or fit me period. This being said, we had to pick out a new wedding dress and I had to watch my calories for the next 6 months until the wedding date. The ladies were incredibly upbeat about me having to pick out a new dress and made sure I was happy that I lost weight for my wedding day. Which was kind of hard considering I had to pay for a whole new dress, but hey, that's a good problem I guess? Anyways, they helped me pick out new accessories and though the dress that I really loved (much more than the previous one I bought) wasn't available in the size in store, they were able to order it and send it to another David's Bridal in Texas for safe keeping until I needed my next alteration. Great employees regardless of my kind of sour attitude!

I was making the appointment to have a "wedding gown memory" since my mom probably won't be able to travel. What I found was absolutely perfect-- the first dress I tried on was in my budget, was on sale for Black Friday, and was simple but elegant. My son took some photos, and the memory of the try-on was priceless. If I could give this store 10 stars, I would. The other galleries in Sioux Falls didn't reply, perhaps because my budget was low. However, we were told they only have one seamstress now and she's too booked to add more customers. (The wedding is in August 2024.) So all she could do was try it on. We then brought it home, and have to find our own seamstress. So I'm warning brides: check to see if they can or can't do the alterations. I just feel they were not up front about it.
