Inconsistent terms of sale: I was told numerous times that there were no conditions to the sale…read more Knowing Uptown's prior policies, I asked repeatedly about the specifics, even bringing up items to confirm that the employees were knowledgeable. Unfortunately, at the register I was told by the manager that "since it was store-owned" (despite being marked 50 percent off in red sharpie), it would not qualify for the sale. This directly contradicted what two separate employees had told me. I truly love Uptown and I've always appreciated their sales, but this situation felt neither ethical nor consistent. Clear and consistent policies protect both customers and staff, and I hope this feedback helps prevent confusion in the future.
