I came to her during a difficult time and needed clear, honest guidance. She was incredibly responsive and took the time to do a thorough review of my situation and the employment contracts and agreements I sent over prior to our meeting. She asked thoughtful questions, walked through the details, and helped me understand my options. I got strong expertise, relatable examples and not just generic legal advice. What stood out was how she was helpful after the meeting. She followed up with clear emails, practical advice, helpful next steps, and made herself available when additional questions came up. If you're dealing with an employment issue and want someone who is sharp, responsive, and genuinely interested in helping empower you with the knowledge you need to navigate your situation well, I'd highly recommend Laura. If a situation arises in the future where I need advice again, I know where to find it.

Over the following weeks, Laura remained fast to reply, thorough in her explanations, and patient through each revision--never rushing, never losing focus, and always advocating for my interests. Thanks to her steady, strategic approach, we finalized a stronger agreement, and I felt fully supported from start to finish. Strongly recommend!

I consulted other lawyers who gave me little hope that promises would be honored, even though witnessed by many, nor any chance for redress. Years earlier I had naively signed a document, without reading or understanding its implications. Tim Broderick helped me to set realistic expectations and then he went on to win the case. I was despondent, scared, and angry. He listened and then presented workable ideas on how to proceed with my case. I appreciate his optimistic and sensible approach, always keeping me informed of my options. He let me know that there was help to get me through; and I wasn't alone. He has a great staff, they really shine! They listened, kept me on schedule, were prompt with all necessary work and documents, and helped me to stay focused and positive. What an amazing experience working with Golden State Trusts!…read more We have tried working with other firm making our very first living trust couple of years ago but we got overwhelmed with all the technical terminologies he piled on us without much explanation, so we stopped proceeding. This time, we were urged to make one as soon as possible and the team from Golden State Trusts made our process so easy and fast! I personally hate all the documents and legal stuff, but we really enjoyed the very approachable demeanor that Johnathan had from the introduction and he was so friendly explaining all the terminologies we questioned throughout the process. Also Jessica who actually made our living trust was very detailed and super efficient, we don't have to tell her anything twice but she takes notes and make changes right away. Gosh, that was so easy!!! They even gave us cheat sheet afterwards which is going to be very helpful! We are so happy and would love to come back if we make any further changes!!! Thank you so much!!!

Instead, I left feeling like I had paid hundreds of dollars simply to be told that nothing could be done unless I retained the firm. I presented evidence of financial abuse and explained the circumstances surrounding my case, hoping for meaningful advice or direction. Rather than receiving any substantive assistance, I was met with what felt like indifference and a sales pitch for additional legal fees. The message was clear: unless I was prepared to spend even more money, my concerns were not worth addressing. I understand that attorneys are not obligated to represent every client, but charging premium consultation rates while offering virtually no practical guidance is difficult to justify. What made the experience particularly disappointing was the complete lack of empathy. Family law clients are often facing some of the most stressful and financially devastating situations of their lives. A little compassion and professionalism would go a long way. This consultation felt less like a legal service and more like an expensive screening process designed to determine whether additional fees could be collected. I left feeling dismissed, frustrated, and no closer to understanding my legal options than when I arrived. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this firm to ask exactly what they will receive during a paid consultation before spending their money. My experience was that the cost far exceeded the value provided. Better yet just ask CHATGPT yourself save your money.

My Husband and I had a start-up, formed in 2012, initially headquartered in Walnut Creek, CA. In Fall of 2014, my husband moved our HQ to Denver, CO. With teenagers and aging parents in CA, I had to fly back and forth, while my husband stayed in Denver. Our Company was our ONLY ASSET. In December of 2016, our company received a valuation of $4 billion. I filed for divorce in February 2017 due to a health issue caused by the toll of having to fly back and forth all the time. When I filed, I worked with another firm. But, by June of 2017, I realized that first attorney was out of his depth. Within 4 months of filing, I then switched to FKKB based on my internet search. My husband was an MBA JD, but never practiced law. I told FKKB that he was smart and that they needed to get a jump on him. As soon as I filed, I was fired from our company, which was standard. Instead of a good salary for part-time work, now, I received unemployment in the amount of $2400/mo. With the first Attny my initial spousal support award was $8500/mo, based on my husband's salary of $28,000/month. The Spousal Support order was not 'permanent', but could be modified. Within 6 months of hiring FKKB, my husband permanently stopped paying any spousal support at all, forcing me to move again for the second time since filing. Could FKKB see the error in the support order and move to make it 'permanent'. Nope. During the course of their representation, when FKKB finally requested financial documents from our company in Denver (the only asset we had), we received a letter from Denver counsel that we had no jurisdiction, there. FKKB failed by not immediately getting local Denver Co-Counsel. So the complexity, in part, required action in Denver, which FKKB never asserted. If they are 'sophisticated', they should have anticipated a jurisdictional issue. For the next two years, through a series of strategic maneuvers, my husband outplayed FKKB and dumped our company into the bankruptcy court in April of 2019, just so I would get nothing. He continues to work, but now has a newly formed company, of which I am not a part. That was the objective. I told FKKB what he would do. I was married to him for 17 years. I knew his M.O. In the end, I got nothing. Even the $250,000 in spousal support arrears were erased, because they were not made permanent. Though I am not sure a 'permanent' order would have solidified the arrears, I think it would have been harder to erase them, especially since he never filed anything to reduce them. I spent all I had on these attorneys, which might not seem like a lot of money, but with no support, I spent $165,000 in fees to FKKB. I ran out of money in December of 2018. In my last meeting with FKKB, Partner Rolf Kruger said to me that my husband was the worst guy he'd ever seen, and that if I wanted to get my millions, I should just write a book. So my husband, who is not certified in family law, and never practiced law, was much more sophisticated in a divorce matter than FKKB. My husband out-maneuvered FKKB. So what does 'Complex' mean on their website? To me, 'complex' means, 'no matter where the money is hidden, even internationally, we'll find it and get it.' How good were they? What did I get for $165,000? Not one thing. At 60, I returned to the job market just to pay my bills. In June of 2020 I had to represent myself in an in-person, 8-hour divorce trial. I phoned FKKB to ask if they would please read my trial brief, which I had written, and I would pay them for their time. I spoke to Rolf Kruger. He said, "No, we're done with this matter". Nice. I would never recommend this firm. They only cared about earning fees, and never took my best interest to heart . As a client, I am smart, respectful, and deferential. I am not unstable. I don't take any prescription drugs. I was not bothersome to them, except that even I could see how inadequate their representation was, especially with regard to Colorado, and tried to convey the urgency. My warnings fell on deaf ears, and my worst fears were realized.

Word-of-mouth endorsement from a trusted friend was valuable to me, and so were the positive Yelp reviews I read when conducting my due diligence about Pratt Law. My experience was excellent, and my spouse and I came away from the process with a complete, organized estate plan, as well as a roadmap for getting all of our assets retitled into it. Analisa Pratt is an attentive, detail-oriented lawyer who treated our estate planning with the kind of granular analysis I previously thought only electron microscopes could perform. I, a person who habitually thinks and overthinks many scenarios, was awed/eclipsed by the sheer volume of life (and post-life) legal contingencies Analisa covered with us, step by step, in plain language that we could understand, offering us actionable decisions and their associated legal outcomes for probably everything two average people might experience in their lifetimes. Added bonus: I no longer have to overthink anything we covered in our estate plan, because it's all spelled out like a notarized Choose-Your-Own-Adventure book, less a few dragons. If you're considering creating an estate plan, I very highly recommend Analisa Pratt. I feel very confident in the work we did together, and very grateful for the diligence with which she conducted research, exchanged emails, filed forms, and prepared our meetings and our materials. I am thinking about the people who might read my review in the years to come, as you look for an estate planner, knowing that you are probably on some level wondering if planning your estate means you'll have to talk about *everything* that could happen in life and after, and how that might make you feel. Well, my spouse and I did have to talk about all of those things, and I feel so fortunate that we worked with Analisa, because she made it very easy and comfortable for us to do so. Her non-judgmental and warm treatment of us made me feel like helping us through this important life maintenance task was something about which she cared deeply. Estate planning is a subject about which I knew little, but felt I needed greatly. My spouse and I found Analisa to be so patient, so professional, and so committed to continuous learning about estate law, which made Pratt Law a great match for us. Thank you, Analisa!

I wrote back on Monday and outlined the 3 points we need help with. No reply from Analisa. 2 days later I email Analisa to follow up. She asks for my phone number. I reply. Again nothing. 2.3 hours later I email to ask when I should expect her call so I'm ready. [I hate back & forth voicemail tag.] A few minutes later the phone rings, but when I stand up to answer it, I feel a bladder urgency and tell Analisa that I need to use the toilet and could I either put her on hold briefly, call he back, or have her call me back in 5 minutes. She sounds irritated and says she'll call me back. Then nothing. 18 minutes later I email Analisa to ask if she wanted me to call her. Who knows, perhaps I misheard her. I don't want to be waiting by the phone all day, I've got a lot on my plate currently. 8 minutes later Analisa emails me that she's not going to consider this matter, her schedule is completely booked with current clients. Gee, if that's the case and Analisa cannot take on new clients, why not say so up front? Why waste our time? I am concerned that this office does not seem to understand the security limitations of Internet based technology and does not want to use an encrypted secure document server to receive confidential information.
