Went in to get treated for skin issue. They were supposed to remove bump physically, however, gave me the option to try to freeze it. NEVER SAID THIS MAY CREATE A NEW BUMP. WELL, IT DID! When I let them know what happened, and advise I need this fixed and I am not paying for it, you caused it. Office said I can come back in, but I will have to pay! Not in this world, these people have no customer service. Let me file my complaint with the VA Board of Medicine now! Thanks. read more

Dr. Youseffi was very condescending I'm my opinion. I found her to have a cold demeanor and was not thorough with my skin check. Her team seems disorganized and moderately friendly. I've been a patient of Dr. Yousefi for several years now, seeing her semi-annually for full body exams. Recently, I was seen by Melanie Snyder, PA. Simply stated, you should feel confident in having your dermatology needs addressed by this superb practice. From the front office staff, to the nurses, the PA and the doctor, this practice excels in efficiency and professionalism, with caring concern from start to finish. The bonus is: everybody listens to the patient. And the double bonus is: appointments are able to be scheduled in a timely manner. Other medical practices could take lessons from Dr. Yousefi. Do yourself a favor and check out this practice. You need to be examined for skin cancers and this practice is methodical and always puts you at ease. They are EXCEPTIONAL. I remember on one visit I was doing a basic annual appointment - mentioned in passing I had what seemed like a zit on my nose that never goes away. Turned out it was actually the end of a vain. They had some fancy laser - got it zapped right there for like $75 and hasn't come back now for half a decade. Visit was for annual skin check for a "raised in the Florida sun in the 50s and 60s without sunscreen" person. Everyone at the reception desk was friendly and helpful. I was taken to the exam room ahead of schedule and Dr. Yousefi came in as soon as I was ready. Exam was uneventful. See you next year! Checkout was smooth. Love this office! It's a very clean office, easy to find and lots of parking availability. Staff is super friendly from the front desk to the PA's and Dr. Yousefi. Over the last 6 years, I've personally been seen by Dr. Yousefi and her PA Melanie and both are incredibly empathetic, have a genuine listening ear and do not 'sell' when trying to find a solution. Thank god because she found some on my husband very early on. He's fair skinned. I've done both in person (necessary for screenings) and virtual visits with the doctor. Saved my life! My favorite doctor. Several years ago Dr. Yousefi found and removed melanoma successfully. An operation at a big cancer hospital removed more skin and nodes, but found that she was skilled enough in her office to have removed it all. My brother who lives in another city is still fighting everyday to live another day with melanoma. Our entire family are now regular visitors. My daughter is new patient with special needs and the staff completely accommodated her. We are all pleased with the protocols for covid and feel safe in the Tysons office. read more

This year, I decided it was time to do a body skin scan as a preventive measure - just was something I never prioritized, but knew I should do. On recommendation of a friend, I made an appointment with Dr. Yousefi. She is fairly heavily booked, but I was in no rush and took the next available appointment, which was about 6 weeks out. The process was a breeze. I was quickly processed in by a courteous attendant at the front desk. As soon as my paperwork was done, I was brought back to the exam room and answered some questions from the physician's assistant. A few minutes later, Dr Yousefi came in and asked several questions as we began to prep for the scan. She called out notes to her assistant as she conducted a thorough scan, who was entering info into their electronic record system. There was nothing to be concerned about, and before I left, they helpfully made an appointment for the following year. I was on the road about 20 minutes after my appt began. I have been going to Dr Yousefi's office to have laser hair removal with Sahel. First of all, the office is meticulously clean. The waiting room is usually only myself and maybe one other person. Sahel is a very compassionate and technically precise aesthetician. She spreads a cooling gel on the area to be treated and of course, provides goggles to protect the eyes. She gives little hints about how to hold your mouth to produce the best results. The entire procedure is done quickly. Afer 5 treatments, the problem hairs are gone! I would highly recommend Sahel for your hair removal needs. read more

Dr. Yousefi diagnosed a carcinoma (skin cancer) on my shoulder. Since it was the first such diagnosis for me, you could say that he saved my life. He also acted quickly to refer me to top notch surgeons who successfully removed all trace of the cancer before it could spread. Now the excellent team in Dr. Yousefi's office regularly provides full body inspections to prevent or catch any recurrence of cancer. Dr. Yousefi is a wonderful dermatologist. She is meticulous, professional, warm, puts you at ease, answers your questions without condescension, and walks you through procedures very clearly. I also appreciate that I can trust her with a full-body check to track moles and stay on top of any anomalies. (I've noticed many dermatologists don't want to do this, and have a PA or nurse for this, but due to skin cancer in my family, I'm grateful to have a board-certified derm with years of experience doing this.) I've seen her for full-body check + a broadband light (BBL) treatment. I just had the BBL so still waiting to see results but so far so good! She made the process as stress less as possible and explained what she was doing with each step, and checked in to make sure I didn't experience too much discomfort. Also, her staff is very easy to work with. And her office locations both have easy parking (no small feat in Arlington!), and I'm able to get in fairly easy to see her. My husband and I go to Dr. Yousefi and we both think she is very professional and thorough. She has needed to remove a few bad spots on me after finding them during my yearly exam, and thank goodness for her full-body check because one cancerous mole was at my hair line on the back of my neck and not visible. She described the procedures in detail, was very gentle and talked me through each one. She also has saved me money by telling me about skin care purchases I don't need to make through her office. This office is disrespectful to patients. I've had two appointments cancelled on me in the span of about a year. Most recently, I only found out that my appointment was cancelled on the same day of the appointment with no justification other than a curt "the doctor is not in the office." The receptionist (Arlene, I believe) was unkind and even blamed me for not being available by phone when they called to reschedule -- yet I never had a missed call from the office. They never bothered to email or text me to reschedule despite having all of my contact information. They had no courtesy in reserving an alternate appointment time for their cancellation. I was only offered another "next available" appointment two months later (after waiting almost two months for the appointment that was cancelled). Unless you have an insignificant skin issue and are fine with waiting months for an appointment with no guarantee of being seen by the doctor, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. read more

I haven't seen dr yousefi, only her PA gillian- who gets 5 stars from me! She is fun, knowledgeable, very frank, and makes me feel completely comfortable. I have had some issues with the front desk staff, in that I've had to wait 45 min for my appt because they forgot to let gillian know I was here. Also, my first appointment-which I made with Dr yousefi - they said I was actually seeing gillian. Seemed a little odd to not tell me - gillian isn't even on her website? Which is bizarre and frankly a disservice to a really great PA. Turns out I really like seeing gillian and now request her! But there are definitely some disconnects between front desk and med staff. Some doctors offices you get to know the front desk folks and they offer a warm and welcoming vibe. I wouldn't say that is the case here and for awhile thought they were improving but my last conversation was pretty rough. Gillian if you switched offices or got new staff I would love to see you again but your front desk is just rude and brusque and it can be a total day ruiner! read more
