I went to the Yucatán for the first time after church today. Having been to several Mexican restaurants in the Pineville Alexandria area, I anticipated a minimum amount of food for a large price. What I got was a very large portion of food for a relatively reasonable price. I was surprised! Initially they came out with chips and salsa, which was a decent amount. The salsa was average and the chips were OK. Once I made my order, the staff brought my food out much sooner than I had expected. They came out with two plates of food, all for under $20.00! I was totally surprised and ate one plate of food, and by that time I was finished with the first plate, I had to get a "to go bag" to put everything else in. On a scale of 1-10, I would have to give the Yucatán a seven or eight. The ambience was nice. I had enchiladas verses. The sauce was clearly store bought. Way too salty and filled with preservatives. They tried to mask it with lettuce and sour cream. It still suckers the sangria Rita was good. Wish I had more for the price. Staff was nice. They sat me at a filthy table and I had to request they clean it first. Food order got messed up. This Mexican place has great atmosphere, and great service. But the food was less that awesome. There was little to no seasonings. I bought a few burritos and a fajita along with sides and guacamole. None of it has that amazing mexican restaurant punch that I love. On top of the lack of flavor it cost way more than I have ever paid at a place like that. Fast and good portions, still about $2 over priced for the Super burrito.

That probably the runniest cheese dip with no taste. Horrible!! Then the lady didn't even wait for us to finish eating before she started picking up our plates. And the cheesiest music!! I couldn't wait to get out of the karaoke sounding music. We will never go back. read more
