Here is what my husband had to say about Dr, Threatt and Dr. Bruno…read more Be Prepared! If something / someone is THAT GOOD ... you sure will have a LINE ...: ________________________ Dear Dreamteam, I bet you get lots of emails like this, yet I feel I have to send this one too. I wanted to thank you both for the very quick and excellent removal of my kidney-stone. Being so very flexible and getting me from the initial consultation onto the operating table just within a few hours was a miracle! Immediately after the procedure I felt so much better and now, on the second day after the stone is removed, I hardly remember the pain I had and feel almost normal. I don not understand why this process is not the normal way to deal with those kidney-stones, rather have the patients suffer a few days or even weeks and at the end the procedure still needs to be done ... I guess its an insurance thing. Dr. Threatt, Dr. Bruno, once I again I wanted to thank you for giving me back my life :-) Feel free to use me if you need a reference ... which I doubt you do. Sincerely,

Its unfortunate I have to give these damn ppl even a single star. The staff at this office have a…read moreserious attitude problem and have no sense of respect for their patients. I'll be fair: the one star can go towards getting an appt same day. Otherwise, they suck. When I had to check out at the end of my appt, the lady gave me a form to give to the radiology dept that had the scan information on it. She took it back crossing something off but when I got to the radiology dept today, there was so much confusion as to what I needed to get done! I was there from 10:35 am till 12:30 pm dealing with their STUPIDITY. And naturally, when I call, I get their low income snooty a$$ attitude that they somehow think is acceptable. They are rude on the phone and in person! If you think that maybe it just happened to me and no one else, hear this: The lady at the Radiology Dept told me they get numerous complaints about this office staff from patients and people in the dept having to deal with them! To the staff at the Peninsula Urology Clinic: don't forget who pays your damn salary.. its people like ME. Next time put a smile on your ugly faces and fake the sweet talk if you want to keep your job!

Just like I'm petrified of going to the Dentist, going to the Doctor is equally as scary for me…read more I've been avoiding my "annual" medical checkup for 10 years. My wife has been on my ASS for five plus years about getting my butt in to see a Doc. Recently I have run out of excuses and my wife made an appointment for me. I didn't have a regular doctor so my wife did her research and thought Dr. Chen would be the one for me. He is Board Certified which I don't know what exactly that means, but supposedly it's a good thing. He is accepting new patients which at the time of the appointment was a bad thing. His office is close by our house which again is a good thing. Wait time in the lobby is kept to a minimum....if you stop and think about it, this can be a bad thing. He completed his undergrad at Brown which is the same school as my sister in-law, good thing? So how was my first visit? It was painless and strangely enjoyable. It turns out we had many common interests and has a broad knowledge beyond just the medical world. Excellent Doctor and would not hesitate recommending him to anyone who has been procrastinating a check up.

Dr. Kevin Chen embodies all the qualities that I want in a physician -- knowledgeable,…read morecompassionate, focused. He is well plugged into the PAMF system and thus can recommend other doctors. He is quite responsive to emails and extremely attentive during office visits. No medical system is perfect but quality is measured by people not systems, and Doctor Chen is a great example of what personal care should be.

I can say that after a year of healing my left hip is doing great. Dr. Hooper performed a total hip replacement on my left hip last March. My experience with her was very good. Her Physicians Assistant, Dorien, was also wonderful. I'm hoping I will never have to have this done again. It was a painful recovery. But I made it through successfully and I'm happy to say, my left hip is feeling good.

I can't say enough about Stanford Orthopedics from the office folks all the way up to surgeons, you won't find better care and consistency of excellent care. My ankle fusion was done by Dr. Loretta Chou. She is fantastic; other surgeons in my area said they would need to do 5 surgeries over several years. Dr. Chou told me "40 minutes". That was 8 years ago. I'm doing fine. Hips are good. I'm back to doing the activities I enjoy. Stanford has the best staff if you must have surgery. They are very conservative and go to great lengths to make sure you make the right choices to be your best self. Couldn't recommend them more. If you have to stay in the hospital, it is brand new and state of the art; incredible facility. You'll get some sleep there because they try not to bother you nonstop all night long like they do in other hospitals.
