We stopped by while visiting a couple units of the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park and got one drink Classic Milk Tea, Large, 50% Sweet, 50% Ice w/ Boba - Half sweet was a good choice as this drink is on the sweeter side. In terms of taste, it was a pretty standard tasting black milk tea, nothing too special. The boba was a smaller variety but it was cooked almost perfectly, with that great qq texture throughout. I tried Yumi Boba Tea for the first time last weekend and I can definitely say I'll be going back. They have a ton of great looking choices but ultimately I ended up with just the original milk tea and boba. I really want to try the butterfly tea lemonade (pretty sure that was it) next time. Someone in front of us had gotten it and it looked really refreshing. They also had food there but I don't get a chance to try any of it. It did look really good though. Big fan. I really don't know what else to add. Their prices are reasonable, the service is good, and every menu item I have tried they have knocked it out of the park. One of the be best places for bubble tea in Dayton. They have a minute of real brewed teas and and some powdered ones and well and some snacks. Service is usually quick but depending on the time of day they can get pretty busy. Definitely recommend placing your order ahead of time to avoid the wait. They don't get the full 5 stars because their brewed tea selection is limited compared to other bubble tea places I've been to in bigger cities. read more

By far the best boba around here bc of the variety they have in their menu especially the popping flavors! The inside was so cute with lots of photo spots and sweet decor and the bobaristas were so nice and helpful to my mom who had never tried boba before. Such a cute place! I heard about this place a few months ago & I'm glad to see them finally open! It's very roomy & there's not only milk tea but food as well (ex: banh mi, shrimp, etc). I'm glad to see that it's Viet owned as well! I had the winter melon tea with boba & it was good! Not too sweet but very refreshing! The only thing is I hope they're able to add some vegetarian options to the menu (like banh mi chay) & maybe almond/soy milk for the lactose intolerant! This place was great. Well priced, quick service. We also had popcorn chicken and fried dumplings, and 2 large drinks. All for $34.00. There was a lot of drinks to choose from, so many choices! I was excited to see this set up and menu were comparable to boba places I've been to in bigger cities. We ordered online and even though we came in 5 minutes past when they estimated the order would be ready we still waited another 15 minutes because it appeared they hadn't started the order. Another online customer had to wait while we were there. There were lots of people busy behind the counter so I'm sure it's something that will get ironed out the longer they are open. I love that they have multiple sugar level choices, I prefer mine at 25%. I tried the cheese foam over one of my favorite combinations, matcha milk with coffee jelly (I usually get regular boba too but must have forgot to check it). It was so rich and filling! A delicious treat but I don't think I'll order the cheese foam on the regular. I'm still full an hour later! The other drinks we got were also delicious and I look forward to trying their savory snacks next visit. read more

I've been here three times already - each time was great! Staff is very friendly, helpful, and patient as you stare in awe at their large selection. The food is very good here too - I've had a couple of the banh mi options, and a few other fried items. I LOVE the butterfly shrimp. Drinks can be adjusted to preferred sugar and ice levels. So far I've experienced the drinks leaning on the sweet side for the default sweetness level, but I imagine that differs on drink selection too (so far I've tried the Hokkaido, Okinawa, Black Tiger Sugar, and classic. Visited Yumi for the first time today and had a great experience! The place is very cute - lots of windows and natural light - and they have an adorable backdrop for pictures. I got a taro milk tea with boba pearls and French fries and both were delicious. The boba pearls were perfectly soft and chewy; not harder Iike I have had at some other places. The taro is also flavorful. I appreciate Yumi employees ask about ice and sugar level with every order since sometimes I forget I like less of each. And they have a helpful "How to Order" blurb on the menu that helps folks who aren't familiar with boba drinks. I highly recommend checking this place out! read more

I will say it can be a little loud inside and sometimes the staff couldn't seem to care less about getting your order. It's sort of a toss up as to whether the person at the register will be loud enough to hear and will ask questions so you can get your drink the way you like it (ice level, sweetness level, etc.). The drink was great and was sweet enough for my liking and had the right amount of boba and you can customize ice and sweetness level. The Fries were perfect, nicely salted and fried. Tried their banh mi bbq pork and it was delicious! This is the only the second restaurant in Dayton that serves banh mi! Really delicious, fresh, and nice seasoning. You can tell it's homemade and made with care. Their boba was great too! I got their kumquat tea, a lil perfume-y but I like it. I'll definelty b back to try their other styles of banh mi!!
