We were in line waiting at least fifteen minutes while employees wandered around not helping the people in line. They had people sit and wait for their food and they forgot about filling their order. My 8 year old daughter wanted to have a fancy dress-up birthday party, and we had a great time at Yummy Tummy. We ordered a cake about two weeks ahead of time and the arrived with a few girls and moms in cute summer dresses! Each girl ordered drinks and we had cake and opened gifts there. I'm not happy with the customer service at this place. One of the owners who just dropped off my cake (it was a man-- I think his name is Mango) was VERY rude. I understand that you are having issues after the storm with your trucks but that doesn't give you an excuse to have an attitude when you drop off your products. The communication/ organization here is terrible. First off, the owner/driver went to the wrong address (even though I confirmed the correct address with the shop 3 DAYS before my event via text). They arrived almost an hour before my scheduled delivery time (even though I confirmed the correct delivery time 3 days before via text) and we weren't ready. Not sure how this happened when there was a text message that they could easily refer to. When I asked him questions about leaving the cake out too long (since they were an hour early) and why serving utensils weren't included (during my tasting I was given the impression that this would be included) he was very condescending and abrasive...saying things like, "I've been doing this for 15 years and we never offered serving utensils." Then you need to pass that information on to your staff during the tasting because something was lost in translation. The owner had a MAJOR NASTY ATTITUDE during the entire time he dropped off my cake--- I did not appreciate that and it was very unprofessional. And he kept complaining that he had another delivery to make in Katy---which is not my problem. Be a professional and keep your woes to yourself. This is your business--stop complaining and being rude and learn to appreciate your customers. Overall, I've had multiple issues with this shop ever since I placed an order with them for my baby shower. There has been a major lack of communication, at times there was a lack of response and now the owner that drops off the cake has a nasty attitude? I will NEVER buy anything from this place again. We ordered a special cake for a double baby shower. The cake was pretty with the real flowers I brought to use. But the lady with the dirty fingernails told me that the cake would have gold beads around it and some plastic bubbles on it, neither was there. The cake was plain looking on the outside. The worst part is the cake was tasteless except for the flavor of coconut. Not sure why coconut it was suppose to be a cookies and cream cake. The chocolate layers were very watery and tastless. The frosting had a bad aftertaste. We had 12 people to the shower and everyone tasted the cake but did not eat it. We had 3/4 of the cake left. Such a disappointing experience. Let me tell you, I went in with my son again and I got a chocolate chip cookie & a cakecicle for my son. the cookie was the first thing that we tried and it all fell apart, next the tiny cakecicle he bit it and said it was to hard so I tried it not only was it hard including the cake inside it tasted weird as if it had been sitting their for days by all means it wasn't even wrapped individually it was just sitting in the fridge with the rest of the items. If your items don't sell after 1-2 days please throw them away don't sell them to us because that's just sad. The place is super pretty inside & definitely picture worthy but your goods are not it and how are you going to price a cakecicle that small the same price or more than a coffee and hot chocolate? I purchased 2 cookies and a bottle of water for 11.00, which I wasn't upset about... but both cookies were stale and you could tell they had been sitting up for a while. When I went back in to exchange them asking for "fresher" items the clerks reported that the cooked in the pile adjacent to the ones he gave me were "fresher" Why not give me those at first. I order my daughters 40th birthday cake from here because I need a vanilla cake with lemon curd filling and butter cream frosting and a special birthday banner made. I placed the order 2 weeks before I needed it. On the day I picked it up they could not find my order. I showed them the receipt were I had paid half of the $60 dollars for the 8 inch cake. They insisted that this was the cake I special ordered, and that they had just forgot to put on the banner. They said they were not going to be able to put on a banner, but would write the message I wanted. I said are you sure this is the cake that I ordered. Again they assured me it was. I should have left without the cake and demanded my money back because I begin to feel like they had just given me one of the cakes they had on hand. I was right, when we cut into the cake there was no lemon curd, the icing was not butter cream. My daughter would not even eat it. It was horrible.
