My friend planned our KHS 40th reunion - and decided to use Elite Treats of KW because she had heard they were the "preferred" vendor of Kingwood. We should've read the past reviews - prior to ordering - but lady was hard to communicate with- (always lost the phone number to return calls, and was a little defensive when calls weren't returned etc) I urged my friend to just use another bakery in KW if the lady couldn't return the calls- But my friend insisted on using because she had heard they have done numerous KW events - so she was certain the cake would be beautiful! BIG MISTAKE! Not only were there multiple communication issues, she was inflexible about delivery times - complaining she had to pay overtime to one of her employees - etc. (she wanted the cake picked up at 2:00 - but we couldn't set up @KWCC until 4:00- ) eventually she decided to let us pick up at 4:00... so we sent 2 husbands to pick up the $450 cake - before they could get there, the owner is blowing the phone up asking where they were - at 3:50 pm! Rest assured, the guys were there at 4:01 ..pm .. the owner shoves the cake out the door - the guys have to listen to her screaming that she is late for an important meeting - etc and they quickly take the pre-paid cake (not opening the box to view the cake) so not to hold her up any longer - they get the cake back to the club - and my friend opened the box. I hear this scream from across the room and in shock - we are all glaring at the $450 cake... The cake is completely blank on the left side, and you can tell that something is obviously missing- by seeing the off center text on the right. If that's not bad enough, the color is completely off. Instead of the KHS navy and light blue- we are presented with a bluish gray icing and the handwriting on the cake, looks like 5 year old decorated it! Clearly nothing like you would expect from a Kingwood cake place that supposedly makes wedding cakes! I will attach pix/ of how cake looked when it arrived, the second pic will be what the cake looked like, after the guys cut one of our signs up and placed on the cake to cover the blank space / and lastly of how the cake was fixed by the owner - who had to drive up to KWCC - 30 mins before the reunion started - to fix her mess. We will give her 2 stars instead of zero - bc she at least tried to "fix" her mess- however it is shocking that she would allow this to walk out of her establishment. (She blamed the mistake on someone else, even though she was the person that handed it off in a big hurry to the guys that picked it up) I would also like to note that at her urging, the cake was supposed to be chocolate and vanilla with a raspberry filling- and it was filled with a yellow cream - ?!?! They make the cake more colorful and added glitter and pearls and really made the cake sparkle. This is a nice little mom and pop bakery that I located on Yelp... I needed a birthday cake for my little man and didn't want to go to the grocery store for it... When I walked inside I was greeted by a lovely young lady that was eager to help me... I informed her that my son's birthday was quickly approaching and he wanted something with the Pokemon theme... They didn't have anything in the store or in their books... But she went online and was able to locate a couple of the characters he liked... After agreeing on the look... She made sure that I wasn't getting a cake that was too big or too small... Then we selected a flavor... Once the cake was ready I picked it up... To me... I think it could have been decorated a little better... But he loved it... And that's all that matters... When we took the cake home... Cut it... And began to eat it... OMG... It was one of the best tasting cakes I ever had... The inside was super moist... And the icing was sweet... But very lite... All in all they did a great job... My son was happy... This cake was fabulous. We went with the small and it easily fed 10 adults and 3 kids. Plenty of leftovers. Elite treats has been our go to for years now for birthdays and special occasions. Their cakes are always quality and aren't overpriced. The filling was amazing and not too sweet. You could taste the fresh strawberries among the layers of cake. The buttercream is so delish. On this blustery day in January, my New Orleanian friend and I went on a last-minute search for king cake. However, I didn't hold out much hope. Why? Well, for one, we were in Kingwood. Secondly, he usually orders ONLY from Haydel's in New Orleans. But whoa did Elite Treats surprise us. Just when we had given up hope (he almost desperately resorted to getting one at a grocery store but couldn't bring himself to do it), we stumbled upon Elite Treats. For only $15, Elite Treats' king cake came out beautifully. The cake itself had the right texture -- just the right amount of flakiness -- and the filling was sweet and creamy. The size itself was enough to serve our small office. My friend even remarked, "Whoa, this is almost as good as Haydel's." He gave it an enthusiastic two thumbs up. Make sure to call ahead if you want one, though. I'm not entirely sure they just keep them in stock. My friend had to wait about an hour before he was able to pick his up. Elite Treats' other cakes looked divine, but as we didn't order any of those, I can't really vouch for any of them right now. I'll definitely be back whenever I need a cake and will update this review. But for king cakes out in the burbs, this is the place to go. read more

I did get the vanilla w chocolate mousse cake was phenomenal. They didn't advise that the pic I showed them the buttercream wouldn't be white it would be yellowish. The lady told me later that she should have told me. First time the customer service was a little odd as If she was trying to rush me out but I'm glad I went through. So, I normally just order cakes from HEB whenever it comes to birthday/events that call for a delicious cake. The HEB bakery in Kingwood has been royally screwing up my orders for the past year, so I was fed up and told that Elite Treats is THE place to order cakes from. They aren't that pricey which is nice because small bakeshops can easily run up the receipt. For a 10-person, three layered, round cake with no fancy decorations, the price was $35 which isn't that steep. I was doing a reveal of what law school I was going to and wanted a red velvet cake with the inner frosting to be dyed gold (red and gold are my law school's colors). The man on the phone seemed to understand what I was wanting and they did everything to the T. The cake was beautifully plain (I'm not a fancy cake person) and the only piping was a big '?' on the top to tease my family. The cream cheese icing wasn't too heavy and didn't have that artificial cream cheese taste that most icings of that variety have. The cake was spongy and stayed rather moist for three days after the cake cutting which is an achievement for the baker. Elite Treats has a super friendly staff who chatted with me while I waited for my cake to be finished. Overall, will come here again for any event I have in the future. read more

I was very disappointed with this bakery. I would have been better off going to HEB bakery to have my cake made for 1/4 the cost. I ordered a gender reveal cake. The cake I received was nothing like what I ordered. Not to mention the piece of cardboard they laid over the top of my cake that was bigger than the entire cake and they wrote the words in icing on that instead of my cake. They also charged me and extra $20 on top of the cost of the cake for "gold dust" which was not on the cake! The cake was very tacky! Also they lost my ultrasound picture that I left with the decorator in order for the gender to be a surprise to all of us. When I let the bakery know how disappointed I was they said the decorator would be calling me the next day about the horrible cake and lost photo and I never received a call or an apology. I just picked up my anniversary cake, a 6' round cake. I'm extremely unhappy with it. We had to move to Texas in 2014, and I was not able to save the top tier of my wedding cake for my anniversary. I yelped around looking for a bakery and I found this bakery, it was not a long drive from home. I stop by on a Thursday afternoon, which was not busy at all. I had order a white cake, with white frosting, no fancy filling, just plain ole' buttercream filling will do (my husband like his cake simple). I showed the lady (she was sweet and polite), who was taking my order, a picture of my wedding cake. I asked her to make it look like it, it won't be exactly the same, but just a resemblance of it. What I picked up was not my wedding cake, not even close to what I wanted it to look like. First off, it was off white or egg shell color, not white, like how i asked for. I wanted her to keep the top of cake plain, so I can get fresh sunflowers and put them in, like I did for my wedding cake. I had chocolate shavings on there, and it had ribbons of frosting around the cake, and I did not have ribbons around the cake at all. It was not what I had asked for. Omg! Elite Treats is the worst! The reviews online are very true! I tried overlooking all the negative stuff and support a small business. I attempted to order a baby shower cake and the owner is completely ignorant when it comes to customer service. The cupcakes also look like crap. I didn't get to taste one because I ended up walking out before I could get any actual service. I was the ONLY person in the place. I had talked to the owner over email the day before and went in to pay her for the cake and smooth out the details. She couldn't even be bothered to stop and speak with me for a second while I was asking her questions. Avoid this business! read more

Their website says they have a cookie assortment. There were very few cookies to choose from and half had nuts in them, so we could not buy for our clients. The cookies and cakes in the case looked old and were wrapped in celophane, which leads me to believe they are not fresh. Lastly, the person that helped us was not friendly nor helpful. Me and my wife got a cake from here for our wedding. Due to the festivities, and taking to family during the reception, we didn't realize all of the cake was eaten before we had a chance to get much. It was a great cake, though, honestly. My parents, knowing we didn't get anything but a tiny bite at the wedding, decided to try to surprise us by getting a smaller version of our cake. They went back to elite treats and there were no records of our cake. These people literally don't know what they baked yesterday. No records. My parents tried to find out who created the cake so they could unlock the mystery of what exactly our cake was, but there was nothing but finger pointing in the kitchen and nobody ever came forward taking credit for making the cake. They then proceeded to treat my parents like garbage for trying to figure it out. Great cakes, but the owners and people in charge are literally the worst people in the world. I'll never buy another cake from that place again due to how they "treat" people, and I hope nobody else does either. Horrible human beings, deserve to go out of business. Elite Treats has good cakes but the business is very poorly managed --- one example, they keep zero records (have no database of customers or cakes ordered) --- but the reason we will NEVER use them again after using them for the past 5 1/2 years on a number of occasions is Diane, the executive chef and possible co-owner. She is EXTREMELY rude and has terrible customer service skills. Customers deserve better. read more

This place has the WORST customer service. They have ruined multiple cakes. I ordered a raspberry/ lemon sheet cake for a graduation part, and they made another cake instead--one I don't even like. The lady claimed that they don't do the one I requested as a sheet, yet they didn't tell me that when I ordered the cake in person. I gave them another chance for a graduation cake, and they messed up the icing color. The lady, both times, refused to come out and talk to me. Shame on you Elite Treats. In every way possible from their customer service-or lack there of- to their wrong orders and no remorse for the fact that THEY ruined your order and your event. I have had three orders ruined by these people. Last year they ruined another important event cake for us. We wanted this year to give them another chance. Alas, that never happened. Not only did they messed up the order and used the color of dirty brown to write the wording on the cake, but they don't care. They don't appreciate their customers. The lady at the front not only is rude, abrasive, and doesn't give two rats behinds about the customer, but left a horrible taste in my mouth when her final words for me were, and I quote, "well, there is a $70 balance still owed." We had a cake order set with another person outside of this business, unfortunately that business had something come up and was unable to fulfill my order, which left me in search of a new bakery. I had only 24 hours to spare in order to find someone who could make this miracle cake happen. My son was turning one and we needed a cake for his cake smash photos that we had already prepaid quite a bit of money for. I found this bakery on google and called in to see if they could help me out with my situation. The woman on the phone was very pleasant and helpful. I emailed her photo, which she received right away and immediately gave me an accurate quote. I prepaid a small down payment and paid the remaining when we picked up the cake the next day. The cake was perfect. I was exactly like the picture I'd sent and it tasted amazing. The cake was moist and the icing was great! I loved how it turned out and my son's pictures were a success!! I am too embarrassed to post a picture because the "horn" on the unicorn literally looked like it was pulled from a sex shop. When my husband picked it up he actually thought he was being filmed on a hidden camera show...the cake looked that ridiculous. I ordered a cake from Elite Treats for my daughters first birthday. It was supposed to be a simple Tiffany & Co box with the signature white bow. I gave them a picture as an example. I didn't expect it to be exact but it was way off. When I picked up the cake it looked like it was slapped together in 10 minutes. First, the color wasn't consistent or the correct color. It didn't come close. The bow was off to the side when it was supposed to be in the middle. The bow also didn't look like a bow. The cake was moist but it tasted like a Duncan Hines cake from the box and icing had a funny metallic taste. read more

Extremely disappointed with my experience. Specifically used this place for a birthday party that was special for the family. I e mailed in a picture for a quote. I then called after they requested I do so, when they saw the pictures. We ironed out the details almost two weeks before I needed the order. Went to pick it up and they did the wrong color and design. They tried to blame me?! I re sent the e mail and their response, then they were caught in their trap of lying. Need less to say I didn't have the cake in time and it was terrible. They didn't supply a box or cover for a huge cake- they wouldn't even discount the cake. TERRIBLE experience.
