    S'mores cupcake--a chocolate lover's dream!

We stopped by this small but delightful neighborhood bake shop. What attracted us to the spot was the sight of the owner operator meticulously and tirelessly assembling some of the cutest cupcakes you'll ever see. She was a pleasure to talk to and actually stopped what she was doing to walk us through the various offerings. Ultimately we went with the s'more cupcake because why not? The cupcake was velvety and moist with what you could tell was freshly made airy frosting. The ratio of marshmallows to chocolate was perfect. I know I just went on and on about a single cupcake but it was a perfect cupcake. Check it out when you're in Brooklyn!

Custom Blue cupcakes with extra icing! Color is perfect. Thanks, Melissa!

These cupcakes are so amazing. I was working on a project where I needed to taste a LOT of cupcakes ( tough job lol), and Melissa's cupcakes were far superior to anything else I tasted. Her buttercream is buttery smooth and light, and her vanilla cake is perfection, with spot-on vanilla taste. Melissa did a custom order for us and she put everything she had into getting it right. She understood our needs, was incredibly cooperative in a tough situation, and went the distance for us. In other words, Melissa really CARES about what she does. I did not taste her other fare (banana pudding, pies, etc.), but my colleague couldn't get enough of it, lol. The shop is cute and cosy so you just might miss it if you blink, but DON'T MISS IT. You won't be sorry you stopped at Yummy Tummy's Kitchen.

Banana puddings and fresh baked cupcakes cooling!

Cute little neighborhood bake shop, female POC owned! I was just walking by and had to stop in. The owner Melissa is super sweet, she has been baking and selling her creations online for some time but opened this first brick-and-mortar shop late last year. Seems like most of the time cupcakes and cookies are the main items available, but on the day I stopped by she had a banana pudding that was delicious and fresh.

The wait was ridiculously long. However, the owner was pleasant and gave me some free treats. The cupcakes were amazing!

First time coming in person (I have been spoiled and a fantastic coworker would bring in different…read moretreats from here on occasion). The space is relatively small, with a line inside and outside and a few tables outside. The length of the line and wait time varies based on the time of day and if you go on a weekday vs weekend. Go early if you don't want them to sell out of anything or purposely go a little later if you want one of their lunch sandwiches on focaccia. I have had the tomato and garlic focaccia twice now and each time it has been exceptional. Minor critique, the slices of garlic could be a bit smaller. I also had the shakshuka focaccia which is divine and I would absolutely recommend both. I need to come back to try their sandwiches as well. I am not a sweets person, but everyone I know loves their pastries. Getting someone a gif tcard here makes for a great gift.

Dropped by Radio Bakery on the Tuesday morning after Memorial Day and the lines weren't too crazy…read more I got there in time to grab some breakfast items and baked goods, and then waited at a table outside for the lunch items to get set out around 11AM. I'm usually more of a savory girlie but all the sweet items we tried were great, especially the rhubarb croissant and the earl grey morning bun. I really enjoyed the focaccia sandwiches (smoked salmon and pea/mint/feta were elite) and the artichoke green garlic slice. The flavor of the sesame stirato was excellent but the bread itself was a tad too chewy for the filling we got with it (tuna salad), so that style probably works better with the jambon beurre. Will definitely be on the rotation whenever I'm in the city -- would love to try some of their seasonal/limited edition items one day, though not sure if I have it in me to brave the lines that can form on the weekends, lol! We'll see :)

Radio Bakery... is perfection. I completely understand the line…read more I first ordered the heirloom tomato & feta sandwich, which was unbelievable. It is so clear that they use incredibly high-quality ingredients and carefully curate each component, which is exactly why everything comes together in such an elevated way. The tomatoes reminded me of the ones I grew in my garden during California summers as a teenager. Perfectly salted, layered over soft, not-too-tart feta. The focaccia was made with beautiful olive oil and, while a bit chewier than I usually prefer, gave the sandwich a satisfying bite. I had to close my eyes while eating it just to savor it. The chocolate cherry almond croissant... wow. Such a creative combination, and it did not disappoint. Soft, buttery, and filled with a sour cherry compote that reminded me of a cherry cordial from a box of chocolates. 5/5. Hainsley, who helped me, was exceptionally lovely. Everyone even in line was very nice, the vibes were awesome. I'll definitely be back to try the spicy tofu sandwich and the heirloom tomato tart!

While they didn't have their full selection available, there were still plenty of pastries to choose from. We ended up getting the vanilla kouign amann and the chocolate PB&J croissant. The kouign amann was flaky, buttery, and beautifully caramelized. The chocolate PB&J croissant was easily our favorite. It was filled with rich, decadent chocolate and a layer of jelly that balanced everything out without making it overly sweet. My significant other hasn't stopped talking about it since! We're already looking forward to coming back to try more.
