First time at this donut shop and I was not ready for how good everything would be! The donuts were fresh, fluffy, and delicious. Even the donut holes (or as I lovingly call them, munchkins) were light, airy, and totally addictive. The cinnamon mini rolls? Let's just say I could've eaten a dozen on my own. Bonus points for the super friendly guy working there.. he even tossed in free ones (how sweet is that?). I didn't get to try anything with sprinkles though... my son claimed those before I even had a chance. After flying into the DFW the previous evening, we woke up craving something quick and easy. As luck may have it, this little donut shop was just around the corner from our Air B&B. Walking in at 9:30am, the owner apologized for the lack of selection (how early do you have to get up to get choice pickings? They open at 3am!). The doughnuts are delicious, and the customer service is exceptional. I always pass by this doughnut shop but the lack of reviews deterred me to other places. So, I decided to give it a try this morning. The woman in front of me seemed to be a regular, because the young man assisting her asked her about her employment status. She told him that they were notified about possible layoffs again. Her situation touched him, and so he decided to give her the doughnuts free of charge. I thought that was really sweet of him. After I ordered, he asked me what my favorite doughnut was and I responded. He surprised me by giving me 2 of my favorite doughnuts free of charge. That was just the cherry on top.
