Great customer service. The lady in front is very nice. The foods are great too. My favorite is the Tom's among their selections.

After we got our donuts, it was later in the day and they asked if we wanted a few free donut holes that they threw in for us.

The oldest sub shop in Texas is not a title you stumble into, and one visit makes it clear they've earned it. First, the parking situation, because someone has to say it. The spots up front are scarce and competitive. Don't give up, there's additional parking in the back with its own entrance. File that away before you go, or you'll spend ten minutes circling a strip that has not gotten larger since the 1970s. And speaking of the 1970s, the interior leans fully into its vintage identity. Small, dark, and unapologetically retro, it feels like a sub shop that missed the memo on modern restaurant design and decided it didn't care. Honestly, respect. Now, the subs. Galligaskin's cuts their own meat and cheese in house and bakes their rolls fresh daily, which is the kind of thing that sounds like marketing until you take a bite and realize it actually matters. The roast beef and cheese, loaded with toppings, is a proper sandwich. The house-made Galli Oil and pickled pepper finish that goes on every sub is the secret weapon - not spicy, just deeply flavorful, the thing that makes each bite a little better than the last. We also tried the burger, which came as a genuine surprise. A sub shop doing a burger well feels like it shouldn't work, but here we are, soft bun, flavorful patty, no notes. For sides, the Tater Tots are the undisputed champion of the table. Crispy shell, fluffy interior, the ideal tot. The fried okra was a strong runner-up, well breaded and served with ranch. The French fries, however, were a swing and a miss. They looked the part, golden, fresh cut, promising - and then arrived soggy. A limp fry is a tragedy in any zip code, and these were no exception. No one wants a sad potato. Order the tots. Skip the fries. You've been warned. Galligaskin's in the real deal, a Fort Worth original that's still earning its reputation one fresh-baked roll at a time. One last night: they're closed on Sundays, so plan accordingly. A cruel fact to discover in the parking lot.

This particular spot is a deli sandwich place; they do have some standout choices, but I was craving tuna, so I ordered their Pacific Blue (Tuna Melt). Loved that they toasted the buns; it was good but didn't wow me. They skimped on the cheese and didn't add the jalapeños I requested. Service was incredibly slow, but there was a huge rush-hour crowd, so I'll overlook it. All in all, the theme is cool. Loved that they had vendors and music available the day we went; it gave us an opportunity to have something to do while we waited. I did spot board games, but naturally didn't think we'd need them. The goo ball was overly buttery and definitely had peanut butter. It was good for the first couple of bites but I quickly tossed it afterward once it became too much. If a deli is your thing, give it a try. I'm sure on any other given day they'd be better at delivering a sandwich with everything.

The menu was quite different and (again) I should have studied up on yelp to see the offerings before going. It took me a minute to read through the menu to decide what I wanted. The closest I saw to an Italian (didn't see La Canna) was the 5-0 so I cut the bacon and it was pretty good. My husband got the G-13 and really liked it. What surprised us was finding a full bar inside the sub shop! (A full bar with Blanton's!) And they're open until midnight! The manager came over and talked to us for a while. She was super nice and told us all about the chain and that location. They have parking out back and you have to scan a QR code the when you go inside to order you can validate for free parking with their QR code inside. Or you can just find street parking right behind the lot. We left happy with full tummies. We will go back!

It can be a little pricey, but honestly, that's just how oxtail is everywhere and it's totally worth it here. The sandwiches are also delicious, and the fried plantains are a must. Everything we've tried has been really satisfying and well seasoned. The waitstaff has always been super friendly and helpful when it comes to ordering and making recommendations, which makes the experience even better. The ambiance is nice and well decorated, so it's a great spot for a sit-down meal. Overall, this has become one of my go-to spots for Cuban food, and I'll definitely keep coming back.

The jamón pizza was delicious and different. Very light, if any, sauce but tons of delicious cheese. The crust was also different. Very light and fluffy. Almost biscuit like. I will return to try other authentic dishes. This little shopping strip also has a Cuban market and another Cuban store. Glad I checked it out. I was eating super slow and enjoying the music and pizza. Waitress saw my pizza/cheese looked cold. She offered to have them reheat it I I wanted. The majority of the people here were also Cubans. They had the distinct Cuban accent.

Every time we go to Fred's we ask ourselves why it's taken so long to come back. The hamburgers are gigantic, juicy & almost cannot fit into your mouth. Delicious!! However, the fried onion rings are the real stand-out-- homemade battered, hot & crispy. I could almost make a meal out of those. One of our party had the chicken-fried-steak & declared it to be the best he's ever had. We had a real sweet server named, Savannah, who gave us excellent service & was pleasant & cheerful throughout. Honestly, I have to warn you about the margaritas--they are very strong & will kick your backside if you drink a whole one. I was glad I had a sober partner to drive me home. We will definitely be back & hope it doesn't take so long to return.

However; despite being asked how I wanted it cooked it came out just like my husband's, cremated. I have no idea what it would've tasted liked because all I got was greasy and crispy charcoal. They do serve mixed drinks, beer and wine, not a lot of choice on the wine though. Ambiance is surprisingly bright in the room we were seated in and definitely family friendly.
