I HAVE to take a point away because it's just SO LOUD. However, there's food is amazing and the people were very nice. I was able to get a taste of La Chana thanks to a Yelp event where we got to watch Beetlejuice outdoors (on the patio-sidewalk area outside of the EPIC Center over there by Six Flags and WhiteWater. VERY messy Birria tacos, but OH SO WORTH the mess! I also had their pulled pork tacos - which they offer with corn tortillas OR flour tortillas. I love that because I am not a big fan of corn tortillas. I MUCH prefer the flour tortilla even when it comes to deciding whether or not I want authentic or slightly less authentic Mexican food. My only other disappointment was that they didn't have all the flavors of Jarritos that they showed on their menu. I really wanted the guava, but it just wasn't in the cards that night. Since we were outside, sitting on metal picnic tables watching a movie, I didn't really take time to get pictures. However, I believe I did take a photo or two of the Yelp event and posted that. Sorry! Definitely give them a shot because you're probably missing out!

I get home and excited to eat, open my plate and this is what I'm left with. The level of pissed i felt.. they didn't even put meat in the 4th taco. Everything was just thrown in there. The tacos were so greasy and dripping of oil, the tortillas ripped because it was so greasy. There was a pool of oil under the tacos. And they only gave me 2 small green hot sauce when I asked for extra green hot sauce. The seasoning was so mediocre. The one star is for the Horchata cause that was the only thing that was good. I'm so disappointed and will not return here. I paid $16 for 3 tacos, an empty tortilla and horchata.

This place was not great…read more Interior / exterior I've driven by dozens of times over the years - finally decided to stop by. The parking lot was a bit congested because there's hand car wash sharing the lot. There didn't seem to be any designated parking so once i placed my order I went back to car and waited - just in case I needed to move my car out of someone's way. Instead of a static board, they have 3 or 4 LCD monitors with menu & pricing. The screens change every few seconds and they twist, fly and float in. There are also several handwritten signs. It's kinda dark inside, even though there are tons of windows and the place seems like it could use a deep clean - not because it's 'dirty' but because the surfaces seem to be coated in a thin film of grease / oil which can happen over time in, in a small space like this. Customer Service Upon entering, there were two employees seated at the table, eating. The girl stopped eating and stared at me. The dude, turned around and looked at me. I stared back at them and they quickly turned their attention back to their food. I'm not sure - but I think its some sort of cultural thing for Latino people to not greet customers. Whatever it is - it can be somewhat off-putting. I went to the register and there wasn't a cashier (I'm assuming one of the seated employees was the cashier) and the cook had his back to me. I stood there for two or three minutes looking at the menu and wondering how to get his attention without seeming rude. Finally, just as I was about to shout, "Excuse me," he put his spatula down and approached the counter. He smiled and asked what he could get for me. He wasn't surprised when he turned to see me standing there. It appeared that he knew I was there all along. I guess he was giving me time to peruse the menu. Food Remember those menus I mentioned previously? Well I'd had a good bit of time to study them, but I still somehow missed the tacos, so I asked about them. He said they had tacos - they were "around $3 each" and he tapped on a sign to show me the various meat options (chicken, beef, chorizo, tongue, pork, you name it, the offer it). When I asked if I could get flour tacos, he said the taco tortillas were small (street tacos) and the only large tortillas they had were used for burritos and quesadillas. I went with the a chicken quesadilla and fries instead of beans and rice. My chicken quesadilla was 'ok' - nothing to rave about. A few pieces of gristle but not terrible. My french fries were tiny little bits and pieces as though they were the remnants from a bag that should have been tossed. He'd also dropped them directly from he piping hot grease, into my styrofoam container without putting down any wax paper or foil, so most of them melted through the container and fell out into the bag - while the others that remained wound up coated in a melted styrofoam. Yum. Price / Value This wasn't a great value. The quesadilla is about half the portion you'd get from Casa Grande or other sit down restaurants and the fries were inedible. I also think I might have been overcharged. It appears that I was charged for the quesadilla meal AND an order of french fries instead of being charged for just the meal, with fries as a substitution. I know post pandemic food pricing is off the chain, but personally, I think $3 is too much for a street taco - unless it premium meats and toppings. Or unless I'm dining somewhere really upscale where everything is pristine and gorgeous. They did have a deal that came with 5 tacos, beans and rice for $8.99. Or it might have even been 8 tacos, I'm not sure - I can't remember. I just remember thinking that it seemed like the price was too good to be true if those same tacos, ala carte, are a whopping $3. Overall Overall, I didn't enjoy my food and the prices seem a bit steep based on portion size and environment.

For me, these have been the absolute best burrito tacos I've ever had in my life! I have had them…read moretwice now because I didn't want to be impetuous with my first visit, but man, these things are so incredibly good! The thing that makes them so good would have to be the consommé dipping sauce that they give us with each order. It's brisket soup, done so very well. The next best thing is the crunch on the grilled taco before you even dip it. The textures are perfect! The brisket isn't dry at all. I don't think I've ever had a food truck that I've ever been pleased with because the food always seems to be slightly off because of the environment, but that is not the case with this place though. If you can't tell already, I strongly recommend this food truck to anyone. I will take pictures next time!

Here goes my standard disclaimer for Mexican restaurant reviews...I've lived all over the US and…read morehave spent more time in Mexico (not just tourist locations but all over) than most. I am also bilingual and speak Spanish at the same level I do English...so I'd like to think that people can trust my reviews. La Casa de los Tacos al Pastor was good. Very good. Now is it Texas, California or Chicago good??? Sorry no...but the flavors are still there for a solid 3.7 so let's round it up to 4 stars. Their al pastor and asada meats are very well seasoned and easy to chew. They use good quality tortillas for their tacos and good bread for the tortas. Flavor was very on point without it being overly greasy. Granted...the food was greasy...it's Mexican food...but it didn't leave me feeling sick. You definitely need to try a variety of tacos here. The birria, al pastor and carne asada tacos were my favorite. They got an extra point for letting me create my own torta...I like to blend the birria and al pastor meats. I recommend trying the torta as well because it's huge. It can definitely be a lunch to split for two people...but at over $10...that torta better be huge. For being a taco truck...it was very clean. All payment methods are accepted. Service was very friendly, prompt and efficient. There's usually a line so you can trust that your food is being made fresh for you. So why 4 starts and not 5. Ok...maybe my age is showing on this one...but there were two factors that I simply could not overlook: 1) Tacos de la calle...street tacos...are supposed to be good AND cheap...like cheaper than going to a restaurant. That's the whole point! It has to be convenient and less expensive. My wife and I ordered a few things and it was almost $40! I know there is inflation and the economy isn't what it once was...but for those prices it's the same as calling in a to go order at any other restaurant. For what it's worth...the customers in front of me and behind me both could not believe how expensive their meals were. 2) too much piña in the al pastor meat. Pedacitos...ok. Está bien...pero cantazos no. In Mexico you never will see pieces of pineapple bigger than a pea in your al pastor. It's becoming a trend in many Mexican restaurants where they add chunks of pineapple...people who don't know the difference won't care, but they should because it means the customer gets less meat for the same price. My advice is, if you're in the area, definitely try their tacos. I think you'll like them.
