made an appointment for my mom who is 83 yrs old for a pedicure and the woman 'J' rushed through the pedicure that when she used what they call cheese grinder she cut up both my moms ankles. she did a wax on upper lip and I had to walk my mom back in bec she literally missed right in the middle. I called the owner today to tell her about the cuts on my moms ankles and she said next time don't use it, like it was my moms fault!! I said no next she should pay attention and not rush the job!! never going back!! read more

What's annoying is we always give this nail salon a chance. They let me down each time. The only reason I had to come to Yun & Tina's because Shiny nail is closed this week. My fiancé and I was treated as if we can't afford to get his Medicure and pedicure or my UV Gel full set and pedicure . The women doing my feet was the nicest one in there but the older one in ther doing my fiancé feet was rough and rude. The owner Tina asked what design I show her she tells me it's too much money I don't want that. Then before she did my nails asked for us to pay we had no problem. But then realize they didn't ask the lady next to me to happen to be Caucasian. They continued to be rude to me and my fiancé. I wouldn't advise any darker skin tones to receive any services in there unless you want to be treated with disrespect. read more

I have been a long time customer of Tina's but as she gets busier the quality of the work done goes down. She over books appointments and has ppl waiting up to an hour past their appointment time and rushed through your appointment when you finally get in the chair. This past appointment after the usual extended wait my nails were oddly shaped with the underside of the nails thick and flat and four of them are pointing to the left. Not to mention they are all different lengths. Before I could say anything she had moved on to the next customer. And for a fill I was charged $64.00. I didn't want to say anything at first because i was in there once when another customer complained and she basically told everyone in the salon that the woman is just cheap and wanted to get things for free. But this was a really bad job and I never complained before so I called called to tell her that she rushed and now half of my fingers think they arrive Beyoncé because they stay pointing to the left, she said come in and I'll fix it. I explained I didn't have the time that day as I was working. I called 2 days later to see if she time to fix them and she refused stating that was days ago and that I should have come in when she offered. In short extremely pricey, shorty work and horrible customer service. Not the first time I have had issues with this shop but it will definitely be the last. read more

I thought I'd give this salon another chance, but they are just so unprofessional, my nail are real, I tend to grow my nails very well , since they are strong, i asked her to cut them down and file them round, she cut them so far down that I was bleeding, than she took the emery board and filed the top of my nails, she made them tin like she was working on fake nails, I asked her to not do that, she became upset with me and brought over a man to do the polishing, since then my nail are chiping and breaking, Now I had to buy expensive nail products and antibiotic to repair my nails,If you want to be cheated out of your money for a poor job, and bad service , this is the place. Honestly, Worst manicure i've ever had. I don't even know my technicians name, all I know is that I have cuts on 5 of my fingers and the gel polish was not applied correctly. I even contemplated walking out. I am not one to make a big fuss but I was incredibly disappointed. I just moved to the area and i'm searching for a new favorite spot. Yes this place is very convenient because its literally the only nail salon that does gel nails I could find. I was visiting family in town and desperately needed a new mani/pedi. After calling for an appointment and immediately given on rather quickly I asked for a gel manicure and pedicure. I already had gels on my hands so the tech proceeded to use a mini sandblaster. Never before have I had that done. Always soaked in acetone....always. Then I had the quickest mani of my life. Done in about a half hour. Usually gel takes longer but when you're not soaking cuticles and giving Hand massages you have time to kill I guess. The pedicure was fine...they basically require you to get a spa pedicure. Anything to move it along I guess. But fast forward 4 days my manicure is chipped. My usual gel manis last about 2 weeks. They use the same products as my usual place. The manager and the girl who did my gel nails were both very nice, but the tech must have been in training. Worst gel nail job I've ever had, and I've had my nails done all over. I travel for work and work very long hours, so it's difficult for me to find the time to get my nails done. When I do manage to get out of work in time to get my nails done, I anticipate they will at least look nice. MAY have been a fluke, but $60 (+$10 tip) later and I am probably going to need to have them done again elsewhere within the next week. In my opinion, if she was new the salon manager should have periodically checked her work. But in her defense, I didn't express my disappointment and give her the chance to redo my nails, I just didn't have the time. But the salon itself was clean, there were nice TV's on the walls, and it was generally clean & comfortable. Also plenty of parking right out front. Convenient right off the 17, exit100 inside the Liberty Mall. From manicures to pedicures, waxing and all, they are truly unique with their work. Though, their english is soft-spoken, their hands do the real speaking. Inside feels modern with lots of light, making it comfortable for customers to adapt. Plenty of parking outside makes it a plus for anyone who just wants to relax and get their nails done without worrying about paying for meters. First time I went I asked for a specific treatment to be done on my feet the lady was close to done when I asked her why she wasn't doing the hot rocks and special creams like they promoted on the laminated menu the lady not knowing much turned to her BOSS and asked her to explain we went back and forth when I finally gave up on her nasty attitude and payed and left. I went back to give them a SECOND AND LAST chance THE BOSS wanted to take care of me for my hands this time. She proceeded to act carelessly and take her time talking in her language and when she was done my nails where half way painted she stayed far away from cuticle and it looked horrible . got a regular pedicure here today. very good service, my pedicurist was gentle and skilled, and accommodated my requests for a certain style of French pedicure (I like wider white tips) only mildly negative thing: kind of a strong sales pitch by the owner (?) to upgrade to a spa pedicure ($38 as opposed to $26 for the French). just be firm, lol. otherwise I really enjoyed the clean environment (like, really spotless) and the comfy new massage chairs. they were pretty busy but I was seated right away. Absolutely the worst experience in my life I went in for a Brazilian wax I had to wait an hour before I was seen even though I had an appointment when I went in the woman kept pulling and tugging at me with the wax strips she did the same spot over and over then when the wax didn't work she took scissors and tweezers to my nether regions. after an hour of this nonsense i told her to stop she obviously didn't know what she was doing so she went out and grabbed the owner who came in and did a very bad job of continuing i was in this salon for 3 hours for a brazilian and the results are not good. i told the woman i have been getting waxed my whole life it takes me 15 minutes usually and no matter what the length of hair it gets done. she acted like i was crazy. i still have hair down there and i'm out $45 because they still charged me after knowing they messed up. read more

Under new management. Terrible job. I got talked into getting SNS gel instead of a regular gel polish. All of my nails are now bubbled and have white splotches throughout from poor application. When I asked how she intended to fix it she told me this was normal and that I'm the only one that complains. Then she told me if I had picked a different color, it wouldn't have happened...then she told me but it happens with different colors too. (?????) she made no sense and just continued to talk in circles and make excuses. Then proceeded to charge me full price. Took a total of 2 hours and $42 for me to leave feeling worse than when I walked in. Will NOT be returning here. read more

Walk-ins welcome is what they said. We walked in and were told we would be next about 10 minutes. Customers kept walking in and saying they called earlier and they got in first. 12 people went ahead of us despite our protest. We ended up waiting an hour and 15 minutes! The wait was awful. The pedicures were mediocre at best. They talked us into a spa pedicure which wasn't advertised and cost $15 more. It sounded amazing so the 3 of us went for it. It was a joke the only difference was a sheet of parafin wax wrapped around each foot which we had to take off ourselves. The woman cut my cuticle badly during the pedicure causing an infection and pain to my left big toe. They rushed through a service that we waited forever for. This place was a disappointment to say the very least. I recommend skipping this place and getting your nails done elsewhere. read more

Never a good experience! Always have to wait an hour even when I call and they tell me no wait if I come now. The owner is very rude!!! She tries to "apologize" but in a very non genuine way.. I've only had one nail tech that has done a good paint job, and they try and push you to do gel every time. The last straw... last time the girl next to me was gifted a gift certificate, it had expired a month prior... they would not honor it!!! Someone paid the salon money for the full value of that gift certificate, there should be no expiration date. No way to do business. I won't give my money to someone who does business like that anymore. Thank goodness a new nail place opened in Liberty (Brian's), so happy I never have to go back to Tina's again!!! :) read more
