We came to the PINEAPPLE DAY SPA for a bachelorette party of 15 for a mani, pedi and a 20 minute facial, body treatment OR massage! All 15 of us paid $80 a piece totally $1200... We get here and now they are saying we only paid for a 20 minute service! With proof of the services that were to be offered in an email from Priscilla that states a 20 mintue service with a mani/pedi!! CLEARLY YOU CAN SEE IN THE EMAIL BELOW!! They refused to accommodate the mani and pedi! Stating it would be $50 for a pedi and $30 for mani! Then they stated they will refund all but the 4 that received a 20 minute service but the funds won't be available until Wednesday! What a joke! You destroyed the brides day! Horrible business etiquette!!!! read more

I have been going here for years to get my hair cut. Jesse does a great job so I am happy. Sure, it's a bit pricier than a barber shop but I stick with what's working... My wife uses a bunch of their services as well, hair, nails and so on. No complaints and we would recommend giving PDS a try. New remodel recently and they have wifi and amenities while you are waiting. read more

One of the worst pedicures I have ever received. Asked for the callus treatment and barely anything was taken off. My cuticles were not cut back. Had to wait 1.5 hours after my appointment time. Biggest waste of money for a shitty job done. Such a disappointment since this place used to take the time and energy into the details. read more

I've been going here for a few years and I've used PDS for nail care, massages, hair color, cut and waxing. I've experienced wonderful service and terrible service equally. I normally schedule multiple services in the same day to make a day of it and about 50/50 of the time it's hit or miss with all the staff I booked being on time which creates a domino effect on the whole day. I love the spa staff, every one has been wonderful, professional and knowledgeable. Brazilians can be embarrassing, awkward and painful. Not here! I started using Dia for about a year and I refused to use anyone else. She made the process quick, comfortable and surprisingly not painful. She recommended other services and products and became the reason I continued to use Pineapple Day Spa. I started using Paula for waxing as well. The salon experiences have not been as good. I always got the same person for my mani/pedi and she was always habitually late and had some type of dramatic reason. I would actually start to stress just listening to her sometimes... and the complimentary wine was much needed. One day by the grace of God, this tech was so late I was given replacement techs for my mani and pedi. Renee for my pedi and Sam for my mani and these two were awesome! I now specifically request one or the other and refuse to see the one previously mentioned. I've had my hair cut and colored here once and with my luck it was the same person who was dramatically late nail tech. The color was great, the cut... eh. But I had to listen to her complain about her kids, her ex, her bills, her babysitter, her previous client... shoot me. I will continue to use Pineapple for salon services and nail care. If you find a tech or stylist you like stick with them. Use their online booking system to request them specifically instead of calling and getting someone randomly. Front desk is hit or miss but that's not a make or break deal for me. This place is busy and those women are busy. I just wish they'd communicate with customers if we're on time or late instead of making us wait for long periods of time. Dia and Paula are wonderful talented women who do their job very well and make Pineapple a great experience. Sam and Renee understand the importance of relaxation during a mani/pedi and do great work. read more

After my Yelp review of Pineapple Day Spa appeared, the spa's manager, Ryan DeJong, invited me to pay a visit to my former salon. I took him up on his generous offer, anxious to experience what he described as a new and improved Pineapple Day Spa. I was amazed to see the beautiful changes that the Spa has implemented. The cream color scheme that dominated the Spa when I was last a customer is gone, having been replaced with chocolate-brown walls accented with green curtains. The makeover gives the place a modern vibe that is still welcoming and inviting, unlike many modern spas that often feel sterile and snooty. The very professional tech who was responsible for my pedicure was named Dia - I discovered how to spell her name correctly! The pedicure station has been moved since I was last a Pineapple client. Instead of the mounds of pillows that I remembered, the station is now situated over by the manicurists' tables. This is actually a very nice change. The station is bright and airy and is a friendly, inviting space. In terms of the stations themselves, clients now soak their feet in large, copper-colored tubs that are filled and carried to the stations by an assistant. What a nice touch! My pedicure came out beautifully thanks to Dia, a nice and professional aesthetician. She really made my feet look fabulous, and the fall color I'd chosen as my nail polish really looked good thanks to her handiwork. I was also impressed by the fact that Dia used gloves when working - Pineapple is only the second spa I've ever been to where this was the norm, and I've been a day spa fanatic for close to 8 years now. Major points to Pineapple for utilizing this health precaution that protects both client and employee. When Dia finished with my feet she excused herself, mentioning something about setting up a steamer. I assumed that this was some sort of high-end pedicure drying station and didn't think that anything was out of the ordinary until Dia led me to a nearby room and began explaining the ins and outs of my facial service. What? I didn't book a facial! Only a pedicure! For me, facials have always existed in that rarefied world called Things I Cannot Afford. I must have looked really stunned, and became especially more so when Dia informed me, with a smile, that I was also getting my hair done afterwards. What? Hair! I was sure that it was some sort of scheduling glitch, and Dia brought me over to the front desk to check. It honestly never occurred to me that Ryan, the general manager, would have booked these appointments for me. When the front desk clerk told me that the appointments were complimentary, I still couldn't really believe it. Dia and the desk clerk asked if I had anywhere I needed to be afterwards - I didn't - and I asked if they were going to cut my hair - they weren't. It was just a wash and a blowout. I'm sure they've never had anyone respond in such a stunned way to a free facial and blowout, but I want to take this opportunity to assure the staff that I was really very bowled over by Ryan's generosity and their general kindness. I was led back to the facial room, where I received a lovely 20-minute facial known as a Microzone treatment. It was great! And Dia was so friendly and really knew what she was doing. We talked during the procedure; she explained to me the many Dermalogica products that the Spa uses; and I generally had an unbelievably relaxing experience. My skin felt AMAZING afterwards. It's never been that soft before. Dia told me that if a client cannot schedule a facial every 6 to 8 weeks, as is customary, then facials during a change of season are recommended. I know for a fact that I will be having a Microzone treatment again before Christmas, that's how wonderful it was. Ryan, can I book now? I also can't say enough about Jessie, the stylist who did my hair. I remember her from before but was not one of her clients. The salon area where she works has been totally revamped yet retains its open appearance. Jessie is truly a professional and she made my hair look phenomenal in the span of 45 minutes. She dried it perfectly straight and it looked beautiful. If I ever need a blowout and I'm in the area, I'm calling her. At the end of my service, I actually got to meet Ryan, who is very warm and must be a great guy to work for and work with. He reiterated that all of my services that day - including the pedicure - were complimentary. I basically received $85 worth of services for free. Especially today, when businesses can't afford to literally give stuff away, the fact that he went out of his way to give me a fabulous spa experience was massively generous and says volumes about how he runs his business. I was so impressed and so happy! Pineapple Day Spa quite literally made my day. A 5-star experience all the way. Will I be back? You bet. read more

While the location is beautiful and the products they use are fantastic , the service itself was not worth the price. The facial was ok. The deep Tissue massage , on the other hand, at $100 for each me and my husband was a waste of money. We have had better massages for half the price at the pop up chairs at the nail salon. I've used pineapple day spa mainly for their skin/nail services & the only reason I go back is because of Jackie. She's very sweet and pays attention to detail! She makes a wax down south very comfortable LOL-- however it receives 4 stars because PDS is a bit pricey. I've received some of the same services for almost half the price but again I got back because of Jackie. Side note: I've received a massage from dawn & she did a great job too! She gave me some awesome advice. The spa side could use a little work & it's not as private or quiet as I would like. Overall the employees make the place great! If Jackie goes, I go! read more

Not as good as it used to be. I was taken in 10 minutes after my appointment for my facial was supposed to start. The esthetician definitely did what I asked of her, but when it came time to do the massage she was lacking. The massage took a total of about 4 minutes and then I heard her texting on her phone the other 7 or 8 minutes I was underneath the towel while the mask was on my face. This place has gone down hill. Hair dressers do whatever they want to do because they get 40% commission. So they're pushing you to get things done you don't need. I got my hair done and it looked the same but some how I ended up spending $160. Manager or owner whoever I spoke to basically said hairstylist can do whatever they want and charge you what they want. I will not spend another penny at this place I now have to go spend another large amount of money to actually get my hair done. read more

I've never been a "spa" type of person.. let's just say that I barely made time in my life to cover the basics.. waxing, so I don't look like a catfish, and the quarterly hair lopping. WELL! All that changed once I started going to The Pineapple. First it was just for waxing and hair. Dia listened when I told her the not-so-funny story about the gal in Georgia who gave me pencil thin eyebrows... And Jessie has managed to cut my way that even I can style (I'm hair impaired). In fact my hair is longer and prettier now, then it was when I was 18!! I had a wedding to go to, so I got a spa mani-pedi (courtesy of my Discover Card Cashback Bonus - I still was not going to spend "that kind of money" on myself, lol). That was the first mani-pedi I'd had since my wedding in 1989. "Well", I thought, "that was kinda cool. No getting paint on the sofa..." and I have to say that the talented gal who kept me facial hair free, Dia, was even more talented at shaping and polishing nails. Another wedding came, and as I was drinking my Chablis during my pedicure, Dia suggested I get my makeup done. WHAAAAT? (I pretty much don't wear makeup, most days. What for? I work at home!) .. welllllll when Dia was done with me, I looked like a movie star. Not unnatural, not "painted up like a french hooker", I Looked Really Nice and Ten Years Younger according to my family, who at first didn't recognize me. I went back and bought that makeup. And lipstick too. I even wear it sometimes. Well, not in the barn... Then one day my back went out. I mean, I could not get out of bed. I thought of the Spa with the massage rooms right next to the waxing rooms... and again, traded my Cashback Bonus, for the most wonderful hour massage. I walked out of there pain free. Needless to say I've now become a full-fledged Cocker Spaniel thanks to Pineapple Day Spa and the talented and interesting people who work there. Very loud, and if u get there early enough in the morning you can hear the stylists talking about other stylists and customers. yesterday my bridal party had reservations with a special group package of a mani pedi that was already included in the package followed by each of us choosing from a 15 minute body treatment , massage , or facial. once we got there without telling us I go for my body treatment that didn't even last 15 minutes thinking as the bride I'm getting this robe to now go do my feet and nails. for my sister Inlaw to come tell me that the owner was Not allowing us to do the mani and pedi and that it will costs us more money. as I showed proof of what Pricilla included in a 1200 package deal the Owner rudely did Not care at all. they where rude and treated us so purely on my bachelorette party I cried so much because they had no consideration for me and my ladies . also we where suppose to get food drinks and patio and they denied all the services . 40 years of business and they claimed they Did not know how to refund us our money but didn't want to refund the services provided for the 4 who did get them all though the deal was with a mani pedi and felt they deserved that money in which they did not . not once did they say anything to us before services happened or we would have went else where . pore management they laughed as I cried and didn't want to help or reimburse us !! read more

I must confess that it's been a number of years since I was a customer at Pineapple Day Spa but, to this day, I still cringe when I go by. It has become the running joke with my friends when we pass by..."remember when they gave you cheese doodle orange hair?" Oh, ha, ha, ha. It wasn't funny back then. I remember it as a very snooty sort of place. Annoying and uninviting. The fact remains that there's a pig farm just 500' to the south and east. The manicures and pedicures are nothing special for the price. The facials however are incredible. I've been to dermatologists, tried everything for my adult acne. Nothing worked. After my facial by Paula I've never felt more clean and my face showed a huge improvement! She even sent me home with a care plan for my face. read more

Quite honestly, this may have been the worst mani-pedi I've ever had. Scheduled the express mani-pedi, asked the receptionist what it entailed to ensure that it included the basics (cutting cuticles, exfoliating, nail shaping and cutting, and of course polish). The technician does not know how to perform any of the above mentioned basic services with any kind of skill. The polish was too thick in the bottle and peeled off after 8 hours, 8 hours1?!?!? My nails were not shaped or cut properly or as requested (squared), my toes had hangnails days after and my nails themselves peeled. Cuticles were not cut this was a mess!!!!! It was as if I paid to have my hands in feet in worse shape than when I arrived. Simple advice: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. read more

Very clean and tons of parking! Easy to find. I had my first spray tan with Jackie and she was very informative and comforting. I have to say the website and online scheduling makes life so much easier. My life is very spur of the moment and I appreciate that I can schedule an appointment in the middle of the night. I scheduled last night and got in the morning. Plus I can see what's available during the week rather than sitting on the phone trying to wheel and deal an appointment. I had this Spa package 60 minute swedish massage, dermalogica skin treatment, l'oreal powerdose. I was pleasantly surprised by the services provide. The massage was amazing and relaxing. The facial was good and it didn't hurt. The hair treatment was good and relaxing. I will be back to this spa in the near future. read more

I bought a gift certificate for a massage for my husband. He works with Drywall and developed a sore back. He asked for the deep tissue massage. The masseuse was very strong and he was actually surprised at how strong she was and used her elbows to get into the deep tissue. He said that she made sure the strength she was using was ok for him. Anyone thinking about booking here for prom should read this...My sister went here for prom last year and she brought a picture with her of the hair she wanted ( an half up done with French braids not to hard, she can do it herself but wanted to get the prom experience of having your hair done) they took two hoursssss and she had to come home and fix it because it didn't look right. Then she had to rush to do her makeup and she was very upset. So if they did it in an hour like they said she would have had a better time. Just letting anyone know for prom this year. My daughter and I had massages yesterday afternoon. Aaaaaahhh...so relaxing. From the minute we walked in we were impressed. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. We only had to wait a few minutes for our massages. The atmosphere is very soothing and professional and comfortable. I had Omar who was terrific - just the right amount of pressure. My daughter had Diane and was very happy with her as well. We will definitely be back. My only reason for not giving the experience 5 stars is because I would have liked the music to have been a touch louder, an eye mask with aromatherapy and warm towels. Also, I have been to other spas where the bed is warm. It might have been because it was summer so I will let it slide. The price is perfect --- book yours today!! read more

Truly torn to leave this review because I like to support local business, but my experience at this location had me literally leaving in tears. I had gotten a gift card for Mother's Day and decided to use it on eyelash extensions. The technician was very sweet and the lashes came out very nice. I know from experience that lash extensions fall out unevenly and asked how to remove them once that started happening (I didn't plan on getting them refilled). The technician told me that she removes them in the salon OR the woman at the front could give me the remover to bring home so I can do it myself. As I was leaving a nasty storm was brewing outside so I didn't get the remover from the receptionist as I left, but when I realized what happened when I got home I figured I'd just go back and get it when I was ready to take the lashes off. No biggie. The eyelashes held up so-so and I returned to the spa to get said remover. When I explained to the receptionist why I was there she was confused and didn't know what remover I was talking about. She reached into a bin and pulled something out and said, "Did you mean you didn't get the lash kit?" As it turns out, I was supposed to get a lash kit included in my 150.00 eyelash service...that I didn't receive. It had a mascara in it with vitamins in it to help blend your natural lashes with the fake ones as well as a decent sized tub of a gentle cream to wash your eyes with (I guess regular face wash can dry out the lashes and make them fall out prematurely). This kit ALSO included aftercare instructions...something else I had not received. When I realized what had happened I asked the receptionist if I could please speak to the manager because I felt as though I should be reimbursed in part for the service I had paid for since I hadn't received everything I was supposed to...specifically products which would have made my lashes last longer and look better. Now, when I originally went to the salon I had shared with the technician that I'm currently getting chemotherapy for breast cancer. She said that means that the lashes may fall out much faster which I replied was okay, I was getting them for my boyfriends graduation ceremony, and any added time with the lashes would be a bonus. But obviously I still wanted them to stay on for as long as possible. When the manager came out to speak with me she had heard I was getting chemo and then proceeded to blame the lashes coming out early on my chemotherapy. Perhaps not blame, but very strongly suggest. I told her that my eyelashes and eyebrows have NOT yet fallen out from chemo (actually in my specific chemo regimen most women don't lose their lashes and brows until chemo is over with...not that that's any of her business). I kept trying to explain that I wasn't upset about the lashes coming off (they're obviously going to fall off at some point regardless), but that I paid a lot of money for a service and didn't get everything that I had paid for. However, she kept bringing up my chemo over and over again. Even saying things like, "Well, your lashes are going to fall out from chemotherapy." YES. I know that. Thank you so much for reminding me. Not only was what she saying insulting and upsetting, she was very huffy and abrasive. I don't know if she thought I was expecting special treatment? This all occurred in the lobby with multiple people around and I ended up being very upset and embarrassed. She told me I can either pay to have them filled or get them removed. Oh! Also. She tried to turn it around on me by saying, "You said you only wanted them for your boyfriends graduation anyways. Why didn't you just use strip lashes?" First of all, like I mentioned earlier I CLEARLY want the lashes to last as long as possible. A bride gets lashes for her wedding day, but I'm sure she ideally wants them to last longer than that. And for her second question, gee I don't know. Maybe because I have cancer and want to feel good about myself? I wanted to treat myself to a nice service to boost my self esteem? The icing on the cake was when I told her I didn't want to come back to her salon to get them removed and if I could please JUST take the remover home with me she told me they don't give clients the remover to bring home. The technician was mistaken and it's a liability and I needed to book an appointment. I ended up crying from frustration and embarrassment and walking out. Pineapple Day Spa you are a joke and should be ashamed of yourselves. Will never be returning. read more

As someone who is not a high maintenance beauty buff I was nervous at the idea of going to a day spa. But as all my friends were recommending a visit to Pineapple Day Spa, I figured I would give it a try. I had two things in particular to address: the condition of my hair since I became pregnant was a disaster, and I had also heard that they had staff here who were trained to do pregnancy massages. I was welcomed by the staff and instantly felt comfortable. My stylist colored my hair using semi-permanent color that was safe for the baby, and shaped my hair beautifully. She also recommended some products to keep it healthy and smooth (L'Oreal Serie Expert Liss Extreme Masque). The massage was wonderful also! I left the spa making a mental note to thank my friends for insisting I give it a chance. I would recommend it to anyone! read more

While everyone, on the surface, appears to be friendly I have observed several condescending attitudes - particularly after speaking on the phone, or after someone leaves. I also don't appreciate the way everyone (especially the hair stylists) constantly tries to upsell you on products or additional applications. Also, even though I don't go there on a regular basis I have always seen the same stylist. While I DON'T expect you to remember me, I DO expect you to look through your notes so you some idea of what you've done in the past - instead of giving me a blank look like "who are you and why are you here?". A visit isn't inexpensive, and the cut/style isn't really any better than I've received elsewhere at a much lower cost. I've never recommended anyone to go there for the above reasons, and I probably won't go back. read more

I wrote a review last week and see that it still hasn't been posted. Hope this one makes it. Their website offers a 45 minute massage plus 15 free minutes for $55. The first time I went, the massage was less than an hour. I didn't say anything because they only charged me $55. The next time I went and made sure to check the time and again... The massage was less than an hour. Then when I went to the front desk, they tried to charge me $75. I had to pull up the website to prove to the receptionist what I was talking about. She finally decided to credit me the difference, but I still missed out on over a half hour of massage. Very disappointed. The massage itself was decent and the receptionist was nice, but I feel like I was ripped off by false advertising. Very unprofessional!! Just did a celebration spa day with 13 ladies. Priscilla was very helpful in planning our day. The schedule she provided worked perfect with our group. The staff was very friendly and professional and everyone in our group enjoyed their treatments. I even had my 88 year handicapped mom getting her first facial and Jackie was so wonderful with her. Last week in my local market I bent over to get a melon; the Produce Supervisor asked me who did my hair. I pointed across the road to PDS. The setting and staff are warm and welcoming.
