I've been going here for years to do my wash and fold. I've known for years to deal with the main guy, mainly because the woman is really nasty. Over the years I've put up with the occasional lost sock here and there. The guy was nice enough to pick up and deliver when my daughter was sick and I couldnt leave the house. I even put up with the fact that I told them repeatedly - t-shirts need to be folded so you can see the front - not the back (most t-shirts have writing on the front not the back)... They kept messing that up - and then I kept having to re-do it when I got home. So what is the point of paying for wash and fold (two services) - when I had to do one of them over after coming home??? HAVING SAID THAT... Recently, not only did they raise their prices but they actually couldn't explain the ticket! Turns out they were charging me a dollar more. Then the nasty lady had the audacity to give ME attitude for questioning why the math didn't add up. (27 x 0.90 = $24.30 not $25.30) Now if this is some kind of nonsense one dollar charge for doing business there - then they should say "$0.90/lb, $10 min plus $1 charge for our smile" or whatever - it was total nonsense. This establishment actually closes at 10pm. After removing my clothing from the washing machine (to place into the dryer), I was questioned about whether I would use one dryer or two because they "close at 10!" and "the sign says it." I kindly replied okay, but on yelp it says 10:30, just informing him because it was before 9:30, so I had adequate time to dry my clothing. He repeated, yet again in a rude voice, "well you have to hurry up because we close at 10." I will never patron this place again. The only reason I even came here was because I arrived after the last wash time at my usual laundromat. There was also an older women working there, who was giving me a nasty stare(even before the exchange). Very poor customer service. The best laundromat/laundry service in the area. While most places charge over $1 per pound for wash and fold, Yung Laundromat only charges $0.80 (tax included). I've always dropped off my laundry and it was ready for pick up the same day. Drying cleaning prices are also cheaper than other places. $3.50 for a pair of pants, $5.50 for a jacket, $7 for a suit, $7 for a dress. Another dry cleaner on 4th Avenue was charging $12 for a dress- total rip off! Laundromat facility: new machines, super clean, a/c and television to watch too! The machines only take quarters (there is a change machine here), so you don't have to purchase a laundry card for $5 like at other places. I've scoped the area comparing prices and the environments of other laundromats. This isn't even the closest near me, but I'm willing to walk the extra few blocks. This is hands down the cleanest laundromat in Brooklyn and are open late. They always have available washers and dryers and the largest front loader holds three ikea bags of laundry for $5.75. They also have the best AC compared to all of the other local laundromats. A plus in my book after dragging said ikea bags six blocks. read more

Lots of new and differently sized washer and driers. There's never a wait for them, even when its packed. The prices are very affordable if not the lost affordable in the area. Wash & Fold is 80 cents per pound... which you really can't be beat (trust me, I thoroughly checked). The owner is extremely friendly and nice and always complies with any special requests we have. There is another man that works there for the wash and fold service who is also very nice, always willing to chat or help out when we come by to do our laundry. I don't write many reviews but this place deserves a shout-out! Most NYC laundromats are mediocre at best, but Yung is actually great. Note that I have only used the self-service washing/drying. I found Yung Laundromat shortly after moving to the neighborhood. My first laundry attempt after the move was on a rainy weekday evening. After trudging to two other laundromats closest to home and finding that they close unexpected early, I found this place on Yelp and gave them a call. The person who answered happily informed me that they are open daily until 8pm daily (as of April/May 2021 - COVID hours). I walked my heavy laundry 10 minutes down the road in the rain and found that this place was not only open, but clean, uncrowded, and well-maintained. I especially love that signage has been thoughtfully posted on nice printed decals unlike most other places that tend to hastily tape up paper print-outs. They also pay attention to other details, like diligently keeping all detergent tray covers flipped open when not in use to prevent mildew buildup. And so far, the change machine has always worked fine. I continue to do my laundry here regularly even though there are at least 3 other laundromats closer to home. Prices are very reasonable, too - $5.25 for a very large load (technically 4x size I think), and $0.25 per 7 minutes of drying. read more

I really like this place. It is kept impeccably clean, the machines are always fully functional, and there are adequate tables and carts. The owners are sometimes a bit short, but that keeps the order and otherwise they are always friendly. The washers get our clothes clean, the dryers get everything dry, the new dry cleaning service is excellent and very reasonably priced, and the owner and his main helper are extremely courteous and have gone above and beyond to help us out in the past (we were leaving for a trip the next day, misjudged the closing time, and all my husband's underwear was in one of the dryers when they locked up...so someone drove back to let us back in!!) literally, there is no place to sit, The place is really small and many clients, including me, are waiting for outside, till the laundry is ready. Some people are even sitting on the machines while browsing. The loads here are fairly cheap. For example, they wash sneakers for $4. Sweet! The staff is hardworking and willing to help. Those they are slowly raising the prices, nevertheless, the charge is still compatible. Most of the machines are new and extremely quiet. The overall quality of the service is fine, as long as you are washing low and middle-quality clothes, lingerie and bed sheets. The dry cleaning is on an average level. They almost ruined an expensive dress of mine. Well, to be honest, I was given a compensation. However, if you with too delicate and expensive clothes, better find different service. I visited to my son's place in Brooklyn and I dropped of my son's laundry this place since it's located close to my son's place and I saw a receipt from this place so I thought my son dropped laundry to this place. The price is OK, but the lady on the counter is really rude. I visited one more time after picking up the laundry since I lost my son's badge and I may drop his badge in the laundry place. Same lady was busy on the phone. I simply asked if you found the badge. She is again rude and keep saying "I don't know" before ending my question She looks even upset (maybe because I interrupted her phone call) I asked question of yes or not, but her answer is "I don't know" regardless of the question. I take a cab here from several blocks away when I accumulate enough laundry, because I prefer it to my local laundromat. Their machines are always working and actually do the job, it's clean and organized, the change machine accepts larger bills, and the owners care and are attentive. I've never had to rewash something because of a broken machine, because soap didn't come out, etc. I somehow tend to get laundry done quicker and without stress and aggravation when I come here, and it's worth it for me to go out of my way. read more

I'm going to be controversial, break from the 5 star pack, and give this place it's first 1 star review, of which I'm sure there'll soon be many. I can only surmise that folk are talking about their laundry/wash and fold services. They're a new-ish place with new machines, so I'm sure this is probably okay, so consider this a review solely for their dry cleaning and launder and press service, which is quite simply, atrocious. I must be an idiot, because I persisted with this place longer than I should have. 1. They staple their tags to your shirts. My shirts now have numerous staple holes all over them. Added to which, when I get my shirts back, I now have to spend a long time carefully removing staples from them. 2. They once temporarily lost some of my shirts for over 3 weeks, and kept making excuses about it. To be fair, they gave me a discount when I eventually got them back. 3. Some shirts I like to have actually dry cleaned (because they're nicer), instead of the regular L&P. After I lay out which ones I want DC vs LP, the woman then proceeds to bundle up all my shirts, throws them all into a single pile on the floor, then goes back to folding laundry. I am now immediately skeptical if she will actually remember which ones needed to be DC vs LP. When I get my shirts back, the ones that were supposed to be DC, I can see the lines of the press machines on the collar. So I now believe they are just doing L&P on all my shirts, then charging me the higher price for DC, and hoping I can't tell the difference. This has happened to me more than once. 4. As further proof to (3), a shirt that I had once taken in for DC came back with black burn marks on the sleeve, that of course, could never be removed. Scratch one nice shirt. So in the end, after many trials, I will never, ever, be giving any of my business to this place ever again. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! After reading a few reviews I used them for dry-cleaning. Or so I thought. I spent well over $75 on a lot of my nice pieces only to get them back 3 sizes smaller. They've turned all of my nice work pants into ankle length skinny pants. Nothing fits. They very obviously just throw everything into the washer/dryer and then hang them for appearances. I'm so furious. They've literally cost me hundreds of dollars in clothing. Best part is, there is nothing that you can do about it. The people who work there are SO RUDE. I waited 10 minutes just for someone to acknowledge that I was there. Additionally, it's cash only- not like I can cancel a charge of 75. Honestly, this whole operation is just disrespectful. Yung Laundromat has a blue awning, and it's on 5th Ave between 6th and 7th Streets. They opened a couple weeks ago, and so far, the place is looking promising. I'm already a convert. It's huge! This is the worst laundromat ever I went there yesterday to dry my clothes cause my dryer broke and when i got in the owner said I couldn't just use the dryers I had to wash and than dry. Does anyone understand that ? I've been living in parkslope all my life and never heard of that. He got mad and started to yell and was acting like an ass hole... am i not a customer? In a neighborhood that has a laundromat on every block, it's hard to find one that really stands out among the competition. After all, a laundromat is a laundromat; they all sort of do the same thing. What makes Yung's different? 1. His is a clean, well-lit and well-maintained facility without "out of order" signs on any of the washer/dryers. 2. Price is comparable, if not cheaper than the competition. 2. Yung is helpful, fair and easy to talk to. If you have a problem or might not be back in time, just let him know and he can help you out. 3. Opens early and closes late. Their long hours have saved me many times. Most other laundromats are not open as long. I always launder my own clothes and have never used their wash & fold or dry cleaning services so this review does not apply to those but seeing how their business has taken off since they opened a few years ago, they are probably doing most things right. 4 stars because I don't really know what makes a 5 star laundromat. read more

I've used Yung for pickup service for the last year. They offer same day without an extra fee, and a huge bag with over two weeks of clothes and towels costs me about $25 +tip. I have been very happy with their service except for having a knitted dress come back with two holes in it--I assume from snagging on the dryer. The prices are great, and the wash and fold is really fast and always folded perfectly! Disappointing. Rip off for anything extra, and the guy behind the counter is rude. I drop off, and noticed he was charging me a lot extra for dry on low. For a single load of drying, he was charging me for 2 hours of extra drying. I've been dropping off for ages, and this is the first time I see such a high charge. I asked him why he's charging as if he needs to dry it for 2 extra hours. He can't understand the math and gets nasty instead. Meanwhile, he seems like the owner. What he needs to understand is that if he wants to overcharge people, he needs to make them feel like they're getting taken care of. Instead he's setting up his business to sink. I had the worst experience tonight and I still can't believe it. I came to do one load of laundry/l at 8:15. This place closes at 10 and I called him to confirm. I was respectful of all of their wishes, when they asked only to use the top row of dryers and not the bottom and to only use one dryer and not two. I was folding my clothes when I put an extra quarter in just to extra dry my towels. As soon as I put the extra .25 (6 mins left to close and I wasn't going to wait the whole 6 mins I just wanted to dry them while loading my bag) the owner went NUTS! I told him what I was going and he PULLED THE PLUG OUT OF THE MACHINE! When I asked him to then give me my $ back for what was not used- He was cussing me out, yelling & calling me a bitch, said fuck you multiple times, and making faces at me saying they close at 10. He literally chased me out of the laundromat and cussed while I was on the street. I am so surprised that as a business owner he did all of that.
