I haven't done laundry in over a year! Wait. That didn't come out right... This was the first time I've been to a laundromat in BK in over a year. Maybe that's the reason I screwed up this first visit back to this place because I left an entire load of clothes behind in the dryer! The staff was nice enough to keep my clothes tucked away nice and neat until I realized two days later that I left them behind! This place has been clean pre-COVID and they've BEEN sanitizing the machines and folding tables in between customers before the pandemic. Many of these Bed-Stuy laundromats make me want to hand wash all of my clothes and never step foot in a laundromat because they are just way too unsanitary-- but not this place. Once you take your clothes out of the washer, they are sanitizing inside and out. No more strange smells after someone takes their supposedly clean load out and no more bringing my own sanitizing products to wipe down the washers before use. They take care of it for you! Floors stay mopped and clean so you don't feel so bad if you drop a panty or two. Other laundromats I will throw away any piece of clothing that falls to the ground but here, I'll kindly rewash them. That says a LOT. If you need any detergent, laundry bags (plastic or cloth), bleach, dryer sheets, fabric softener, etc., they've got a little convenient store and a vending machine inside to get all the stuff you need. I can't say the staff was always so welcoming but the owner is soooo much nicer now. Whatever change happened has truly warmed his soul and I feel more happy spending my coins here! Before this was the only laudry place to go to because I lived a couple steps away, now I gladly drive to this place because it's worth it. There's a change machine (all machines take coins) nice size options for washers and it doesn't take a crazy amount of detergent to get things soapy. A quarter gets you 7 minutes for the dryer. If you are a nice person who doesn't overstuff the dryer, 21 minutes is all you need to dry a load-- 75 cents ain't bad, huh? This isn't a large laundromat but if you go during non-peak times, you can get your washing done quick and easy and maybe catch a show on the big tv screen while you wait! Horrible. I was just there to wash a blanket I forgot at my normal laundry. The small washer was $3.00. First there is no water in the area to help wash down the detergent. My blanket came out stained with detergent residue and the guy who was running the place told me this small thin blanket was too much for the small washer. I was surprised because $4.00 could have washed the blanket and a sheet set at my old laundry. Then, i noticed how the workers treated the drop off laundry while the same guy was towering over each girl at every machine. First they dumped the clothes on the dirty floor to separate. Then most of the time alllll of the clothes went into one large wash machine. There was no care.No colors and darks were separated, so go here at your own risk. I wouldn't want my clothes dirty or not dumped on the floor and to go there the low prices aren't what they seem if washers are small as hell . Washing multiple loads at home takes too long. And I am impatient. So what better way to accomplish your chores simultaneously than to drive crosstown to an impeccable laundromat? I have admittedly laundered unmentionables under less ideal circumstances, so I am very impressed here. In the several instances that I have visited (except for that one time), the gentleman who maintains the space is constantly mopping the floors, wiping down machines, and tidying the laundromat. The lavatory is well kept also. The pricing for machines may be a bit higher than I am used to, and the dryers are only 7 minutes per cycle, but they run pretty hot - so not too big of a deal. I've used this place multiple times, both for self service and drop off. Each time, my clothes come back with stains that weren't there before. EVERY TIME. I'm not sure if they don't clean the machines or what's going on but many of my items are now ruined. We now have to go out of the way to use a different laundry mat because I just can't risk it anymore. read more

This place is kind of a testament to what happens when you bring something into the neighborhood that looks shiny and new and is also useful. I was going to another place down the street when a friend told me to try this new place basically because it's new and clean and I have no complaints. They've taken my top spot for laundry although they aren't 24 hours like the other place...maybe that's why they can't keep it so clean? (no shade) Everything here is in new working condition and the atmosphere is brighter and clean despite being a little tinier. They use the space well. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. The little things go a long way! read more

They exchange coins as needed (dollar coins as well which was helpful). I love this laundromat. Machines always work perfectly. It stays open late. I appreciate the large machines, and the fact that this place actually takes quarters!!! That way you never worry about losing or forgetting a laundromat card. It feels a little weird putting $ on cards other places then you always have $ left on random cards you'll never use again. The owner almost always greets me like a valued customer. In fact one time when I got hit by a car in the neighborhood, I came back afterward to get my laundry from the dryer. I was in shock and he went across the street and got me a bottle of water and helped me load the bags into a car because my shoulder was injured from being hit. I will only do laundry here & you should too! Super clean! Only 7 months old. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Stainless less washers and dryers. They actually care for the place. They have different size washers - $2.50 (S), $4 (M), $6 (L) and it's generous sizing. I forget dryer but I used a large and was good. Started coming here during the lockdown because the laundromats in my neighborhood were all closed. Very clean & well kept and machines are always wiped down so you never get that spillage that is synonymous with a lot of establishments. Machines are also reasonably priced. To top it off, it's black owned and as such I will continue to patronize this laundromat even when the ones in my neighborhood reopen. read more

I came in here last Monday because my regular laundromat is closed due to COVID-19. They open at 7am and when I arrived promptly at 7, there were 2 other women doing laundry. The laundromat is clean and everything looks news. The largest wash is 6.50 ( more than what I'm used to paying at my old laundromat 5.75) but my clothes needed to be washed. Dryers are 25cents for 7 minutes, but unlike my regular place, the clothes dry faster. It's small, so be mindful of how much you actually bring in with you. I finally found a clean laundromat. The washers and dryers are clean and they all work. It also helps that the owner is friendly.

Pure Chaos. I am a Native Brooklynite & laundromat user. The Owner is more concerned with getting your wet clothes out of the dryer so the next person can get in, than with you completing your task of leaving with clean & dry clothes. They skimp on Water. There is not enough water in the washers to clean and rinse your clothes. They ALWAYS come out soapy, and therefore, not clean. The dryers skimp on heat and time. I don't take home damp towels and clothes, so I spend a lot of money and time to finish my clothes. The dryers do not fully dry your things, and if your back is turned, the owner will take them out, anyway, if there is a slight crowd. In the old days of using a laundromat, you WAIT for people to finish! And you don't go crying to the owner just because there isn't a dryer for you right this second. They stack the wheels of one cart into another one; and contaminate the cart you are going to put your clean clothes in. Bring wipes to wipe them down first. Nobody who works there wears a covid mask. I wanted to support Black Owned, because the other laundromats in the area are More chaotic and a tad ummm...racist and rude (Halsey & Stuyvesant). This place is cool in that regard. TV, a couple of chairs, no racist edge. But, they don't honor the process of you depending on their space to wash and dry your clothes without soapy residue & having your items moved and manhandled just because the machine stopped.
