Machines get job done in like an hour total but kind of expensive... I usually spend $20 (+$1.75 ATM Fee) per visit to fill up my laundry card. I then use 2 smaller washers (22 min) and 1 dryer (32 mins). Then I have like $5 left on my card for part of my load next time. read more

This is the closest laundromat to me so I figured I'd try it after moving into the area. They have a card system you have to use & their machines are expensive & limited. It seems that there are always machines out of service & the ones that may be available am often have restrictions on settings. Their washing machines are super powerful & are done in under 25 minutes which I thought was neat at first, until all my underwear elastic was ruined & I got holes in multiple clothing items because they're too powerful. I never had thought much about laundromats in any BK neighborhood before this & now I hold anger toward this one for ruining my clothes. I hate that I have to go to a farther laundromat because of this but it's not worth having my clothes ruined here. read more

They're good with drop off laundry but DO NOT use their ATM! it says it charges a $1.75 fee but it charged me $4.75 this morning.

This review is as of July 2017: Did my laundry here this morning. Lee's was still closed (despite saying on Yelp that they open at 7.) So this was the next closest place I could go to to do my 7 am washing. The business hours are from 7 am to midnight, with the last wash being at 10:30. What caught me off-guard is that this laundromat uses a card system. I found it to be interested, but thank God I didn't choose to bring quarters. It's $1.50 to get a new card, and you can refill it or check your balance at anytime at one of the kiosks. The small washers are $2.88. Medium are $5.23. And the large are $6.53. Dryers are $0.44 for 8 minutes. Washers and dryers all have countdown timers so you know exactly when the machine will be done. There are plenty of washers and dryers, but only two folding stations. Drop-off service is offered. Very clean and modern location. This place is very good and convenient if you need to do an early morning or late night wash, as it opens earlier and closes later than all other laundromats in the area. Pros: Modern, clean, friendly service, convenient. Cons: Way more expensive than other options in the area (where washers are $2 and dryers are $.25 per 7 minutes.) read more

I used to go here every weekend to do my laundry. Nobody bothered me, And I was in and out without saying a word - until somewhere along the line, all the people working here turned into complete assholes. For example, I once loaded my quarters into the machine and closed the latch but it didn't start. I fumbled with it for a minute until the guy behind the desk shouted at me across the room to tell me to slam the machine door a certain way. Visibly frustrated, he stormed over and aggressively slammed and pulled the lever shut. A bit short with me I thought, but fine. Another time, a woman who works at the place snapped at me in Spanish for putting my clothes on the table where she folds customers clothes. She shook her head and muttered on and on for a completely unnecessary amount of time afterward. Even stranger, but fine. Another time, when I noticed that the machine price was increased again, I went to get quarters and saw that the change dispenser was out of order. They didn't have quarters behind the desk. Went home with dirty laundry. This is starting to get old. Another time, all the machines were full. I looked around and was turning to leave when an employee barked at me to use the one near her. Went to use it, quarter dispenser out of order. Asked the guy behind the desk for quarters, and they miraculously had extra. Went to shut the machine door when he grabbed my shoulder and told me to stop slamming the door. I told him that the other guy had showed me once the proper technique to do it. He said "nope." Fuck this place. I've had it with the people here. How much passive aggressive behavior do I need to be put through to get my clothes washed? I'll walk a few blocks elsewhere from now on, they've made it abundantly clear that they would prefer it that way. read more

This place is great. The staff is friendly and gets to know who you are after a while. I take advantage of the drop off service. It's a little pricey -- $10 for the first 10lbs and then 75 cents for each additional pound -- but it's worth it. If you drop off in the morning your laundry is generally done by the evening. If not, it's done by the next day. They are open 24 hours, so you can pick up your laundry whenever. I've never had a problem with lost or damaged clothes. read more

So I am really only reviewing this laundromat because I'm about to move and selfishly I didn't want it to get more crowded before I left. But this place deserves more attention and praise than it has gotten so far. I've been going there for a little over a year. Nobody has ever been rude to me and have normally been kind. I have actually had on more than one occasion had someone come up to me when it looked like I had an issue or question. Almost all other laundromats I've been too they're cold or give you shit when you walk up to them to ask something. The wash and fold service is excellent. Reliable, never had a problem. Pleasant atmosphere; they play American top 40 radio there, but other than that it's a nice vibe. I've done dry cleaning there once too. read more

hmm ... not sure what rude staff members people were interacting with here since I had a great experience! my usual neighborhood go-to spot was randomly closed so in a panic I looked for the closest laundromat alternative with a good rating. the guy who took my bag in the morning was super chill, and although I had to wait a minute to get his attention, he was efficient and polite once he was done with his other task (patience is a game that goes both ways, and I find that if you just give people a minute or two they'll usually get to you, and usually aren't deliberately neglecting you!). the price was more than reasonable and I really like how they folded my clothes! very compact and neat, and all my apparel looks great and is soft and fluffy. I may start going here as my regular spot from now on! read more

Unfortunately no quick dry cleaning, takes about 4 days at minimum. Dang. Came in on a Tuesday and my stuff wouldn't be ready till Saturday. At least the cashier suggested I try the place across the street. read more

Truly terrible. Machines never work...constantly out of quarters and other supplies. The staff are some of the nicest people in the business, but the they seem to share the sentiment that if the owner weren't so absent, maybe money would get spent in the right places to make this a viable option in the neighborhood. So many other options within blocks of this place...avoid this one and give your money to a small business owner who actually cares about their customers. read more

We continued going here because we had a good experience with a different staff member the next time, plus there doesn't seem to be a better option in the neighborhood. It's really all luck as far as what you'll get when you go here.. You might get an insanely crowded stuffy room with rude staff and several out of service machines, or it might be just fine. Seems to depend on the day/time/direction of the wind (AVOID SUNDAYS) Also, be advised that they have new hours- and note that when they say they open at 7, that means "whenever we feel like it." I sat outside for about 15-20 minutes and there was still no sign of anyone. read more

Had a bad experience with my first time using wash and fold. White sweater came back with green spots all over it. Whoever did the laundry should have easily seen it and redone it, but I had to bring it back. My tshirts were stuck together at the decals, luckily didn't peel off. The attendant was defensive about my complaint, but the manager contact me via email after I documented it with a letter and offered to redo it, and it was fixed. Note, this is an edited review, upgraded from one star. Will probably use someplace closer that does pick up and delivery, which these guys don't. Not thrilled with the level of care or service; It should have never happened and the response was fairly passive-aggressive. read more

I love this place brand new floors and always have quarters. The nice staff is so awesome, they treat it like they own the place. The clothes are always done and even the wash and fold is great. I speak to the owner and he is like an old friend. read more

Been going here for about four years and am very happy with it. My clothes are always ready within 24 hours and the people who work there are always very nice. I've only done drop off service so I don't know what it's like to do my own laundry there. Forgot my debit card there a few weeks ago and was called right away. Go there! read more

5th Ave Laundromat is our go to place. The staff here are so friendly, they even gave us a candle for Christmas! They know us when we walk in, and are always a pleasure. We tend to drop off our laundry. It comes back beautifully folded and in the 4 years we have been going, we never really have had any problems. They have long hours (I know they were open 24/7 for a long time, I think maybe they close at some point in the night now). My only reason for taking away a star is because I haven't had great luck with their dry cleaning. Otherwise, this is definitely our neighborhood laundromat. We wouldn't think of going anywhere else. read more
