It is very strange how a company like Yvonne Estelle can stay in business when they have such extremely low and rude customer service. I made a purchase online and a few weeks after I had not received any update, I emailed and they responded in the most passive aggressive hostile way without addressing me or even apologizing for the fact that I didn't receive any update on the order. Stay away. Don't give your hard earned money to companies that treat you this way. I am not the type that write reviews more than once every few years but this is repulsive. read more

I was really excited to found a place where I can buy a beautiful food runner for my table so I ordered since Sep 25th I got an email saying that my delivery would be out around Oct 04, so Got that time and Surprise nothing comes yet so I decide to call them and find out that the Customs have their delivery's Detain so It would need to clear up,when they have it at their store they would send it to me, and So I decide to cancel it everything cause it's Oct 10 and not getting an email saying what's going on. Buyer Beware I ordered an expensive tablecloth online for a wedding gift. It never arrived although I was charged for it. Now, 6 weeks later, the store has told me that UPS couldn't deliver to the address I gave them (not true: their order program misread my address, left off "St." and added the next character instead). They were waiting for me to contact them with a "correct" address. I asked for credit on my charge card as the wedding is long over. Tough as nails, and not giving an inch. Store policy of no refunds; Maintains I gave them a wrong address...took no responsibility for the error and really, very unpleasant. I suggested they could've called me and left a voice message but no... I will never shop there again and will advise everyone against buying from small enterprises. read more

I placed an online order from this store. Their website indicated that they carried a dinnerware set that I had been wanting since my visit to Portugal. I placed the order on 12/22 and received an email stating that my item would ship on 12/28. On 12/31, I sent an email asking for a status since I had never received a tracking number. The owner, Yvonne, responded that she didn't actually have this in stock and was waiting for a shipment from Casafina and it was delayed due to the holidays. Fast forward another week, no update from owner. Sent 2 more emails and finally cancelled my order. The lack of communication from owner was frustrating as she happily charged my credit card but then wouldn't reply with updates. read more

I can't say enough about the owner of Y & E. I was in Oak Brook, IL on business and her shop was a good thirty minutes away. My meeting was ending late and I wouldn't have made it there in time to pick up my wife's Christmas gift. This store was the only place that had this gift and if I wasn't able to get it I would have been so disappointed as it was not available in my home city of Cincinnati. I called Yvonne, the owner and shared my plight and she was so kind to stay at the shop until I arrived about an hour after she had already closed. I adore this store and the owner! She has great products and fun things to see online and in person. She is always up for giving tips on the best cookware to purchase, cleaning and of course cooking! She knows her products. She is always friendly on the phone and keeps me up to date via email on my order status. I feel she goes above and beyond with the customer service she gives me and get a lot of personal attention I don't get at those big stores, she is also kind to answer my silly questions. Lesson learned....small savings comes with a price. I only had online experience but would not do it again. Shipping very slow, although item ordered was fine it did not meet my need and I chose to return. Shame on me, I had not read the small print. I had to request "authorization" to make return, pay for return shipping and was charged a 12% re-stocking fee. In my case almost $50.00 to re-stock a duvet cover and pillow cases. The minimal saving I initially experience by using Yvonne Estelle was FAR exceeded by the frustration and cost of return experience. Would not recommend to friends and I will certainly not use again. Outstanding high end store. I've recently been replacing much of my day to day tableware with Pillivuyt products, buying from both YE and Amazon. YE is competitive on price, sometimes with lower prices. On shipping, however, YE wins hands down. Amazon ships Pillivuyt porcelain with minimal packing. I've had to return several bowls and a cup that arrived in pieces. YE packs the porcelain perfectly. Close to zero percent chance of damage during shipping. There's really no comparison. And it's a pleasure to deal with a real person, and a very nice one, to boot! read more

Misleading return policy. You cannot return many of the items and they will not give a refund or store credit. In the very fine print it states the stipulations on returns and if you miss it, you are stuck. They were uncooperative and rude. Their customer service is very poor. Do not buy from them! read more

I've been drooling over this store for weeks. But because we've been traveling on the weekends, I hadn't made it in yet. My husband and I just moved from an apartment in the city to a good sized house in Park Ridge, so you name it - linens, rugs, accessories, etc. - we need it. We took a break from working on the house on this rare weekend home to go to Yvonne Estelle's, fully intending to purchase at the very least a rug we'd been admiring in the window. However, due to the atrocious customer service, we walked out without buying anything. The woman at the front of the store couldn't be bothered to look up from what she was reading to greet us, never once spoke to us or asked if we needed help, and didn't respond when my husband said goodbye to her as we were leaving. In this day and age, you can find almost anything online, but I prefer to give my business to local places when possible. One thing I absolutely do expect is though is customer service. If it was the owner working, she should be ashamed of herself. If it was an employee, the owner may want to take a look at her staff. Despite the nice merchandise, we will not be back. There are a lot of places to spend your money. I recommend going somewhere that at least treats you with a little civility. read more

The customer service is amazing!!! I found this store online while trying to locate a new pattern of dinnerware by Pillivuyt. My daughter loved the dishes but was unable to find it at home in Michigan. The owner Yvonne went above and beyond to help me with the order. Her knowledge of this product was so helpful when considering what pieces to order. Originally , Yvonne said the order would be shipped after the 1st of the year because we ordered a couple of days before Christmas , which was fine because my daughter's bridal shower is not until the end of January ,but we were pleasantly surprised to have the dishes and the bakeware waiting on our door step New Years Eve! I was a little overwhelmed at first but was greeted right away by Yvonne herself and one of her sales associates. I told them I was looking for a wedding gift and they were very helpful in showing me around. I ultimately settled on a cookware set that has received glowing reviews from the newlyweds. They loved the color choice and commented on the overall strength of everything. They really helped me look like I knew what I was doing! I've been buying online from Yvonne Estelle's for years and I LOVE the site: good prices relative to other sites, free shipping (over$150), the best brands, many sales and the best phone service I've EVER encountered. I shop mostly online, and have never been disappointed- if I have a question or concern, I call and it is fixed immediately: today i called because a cup/saucer I wanted was priced higher than at another site and the owner herself changed the price while I was on the phone so I could purchase it! Every time I order Bella Notte linens I get the best advice and have never disliked anything when it arrived weeks later- they're knowledgeable and very honest so if they think something won't match the item/color you have they'll tell you- incredibly important when buying online. I make at least one large purchase per year and accrue points that turn into cash to apply towards the next purchase- can't get any better than that! read more
