I called ABT and spoke with Lou (his direct # 847-954-4140). I did some research before I called and liked the Samsung 55." 4K NEO QLED, originally $1,297.99, on sale for $897.99. Lou stated, "They had a sale starting tomorrow (Saturday) and that he could sell it to me for $651.00." Great! Lou said he could have it delivered next Tuesday. I explained my mother's situation and asked if it could be delivered tomorrow, on Saturday. Lou said, "I'll make it happen." Now that is exceptional customer service! Josh Hoffman was the technician who delivered and set up my mother's new Samsung TV. Josh programmed the Xfinity remote to the new TV, and my mother accidentally hit something that made the TV verbally announce everything she did. Josh asked if she wanted that, and my mother said no. Josh was quick-witted and a comedian; he had my mother laughing. You certainly can tell when an employee loves their job! I stopped in @ Chalet Nursery for a brief look as spring is here. What I found is a very nice nursery w/an assortment of items needed to do spring planting, landscaping materials & an assortment of seeds, plants, planters, gardening tools & fertilizers.... Basically almost anything you need to start or enhance a garden. They also have an area on the north end where they have a glass enclosed area. Unfortunately I really didn't have a lot of time to shop as I was on my way to pick up my older sister but would like to come back sometime when I have a little more time to peruse the items in the store

Also, they do incredible sales after Christmas, so my neighbors and I were all able to pick up a few goodies at a massive discount (one commented that she's all set on gifts for next Christmas lol). A few years ago I got a Christmas cactus for an insanely low price at their sale on a discount shelf and it is still alive and kicking! I'm excited for them to get set up for spring and to attend some of their free classes and lectures for the new year. There's something for everyone here.

The posted hours for Saturday are from 10:00 to 6:00. I double-checked the hours on the website and looked for any indications on Twitter, etc., from the proprietor that something had come up, or the posted hours were altered for some reason. Very frustrating. Tried calling and the mailbox was full, also with no indication that the store was closed. I intended to purchase specific items..very frustrating. The only bright spot was a delightful quiche I had a few blocks away at "the little French guy" cafe.

On July 12, 2010, I was at Adesso in Highland Park, IL. I asked an employee for the measurements of…read morean item. Rather than removing the item from the table display to properly measure, she tried to hold the tape measure up to the display. She told me it was 60". I got it home and it did not fit. I called within 15 min of making the purchase. The woman then said it was actually 63". I said I had to return the item. She told me I can only return for a store credit! I paid cash, the error was hers, and I don't get my money back??? She said that's the store policy- credit ONLY. I was told I would have to talk to the manager the next day. I decided to properly measure the item myself. It was actually 78"!!! I called Adesso again. I asked the sales-women to repeat the measurements. She said 63". I then told her "I just measured and it is actually 78"!!! "So I assume I can now come in for my refund!" She had the audacity to still say I would have to talk to a manager the next day. I again told her it was her mistake and not mine. She would not budge. After 3 phone calls, about 5 minutes of going back and forth trying to get a refund, she says that her sales associate is telling her they can void out the purchase and I can return it. She made no apologies for their lack of professional conduct or for my aggravation due to her error. I will never shop at Adesso in Highland Park again :) When a business hires idiots - it only reflects on the store directly.

Super clean and organized store but much too expensive for my taste. most shirts were around $10…read more coats around $22. the shoes I saw were at least $12. for someone used to village discount prices I only stayed in the store maybe 20 mins cause I knew I wouldn't find anything I'd value at the price. Fairly priced items in my opinion were the bras and tights, $3 and $2. dvds and cds $1 and $0.50. and some of the jewelry didn't seem too bad.

Outside on the sidewalk, tasteful 1940s kitchenware just like what I got at a yard sale years ago for one-ninth the price. Some asshole apparently bought the lion-skin rug; that or it moulted and had to be retired. Staff and space were still perfectly pleasant. If wildcat skins don't fill you with outrage and you're willing to spend money instead of sleuthing around in junk stores, you might do fine here.
