I wanted to share my experience for anyone considering using Jay's Way Moving & Delivery, LLC…read more
Jason completed my move on July 30 2026. When I first met him downstairs before the move began, one of the first things he mentioned was tipping his crew, which I found unsettling since we had not even started the move and the focus was immediately placed on gratuity rather than the service that was about to be provided. Unfortunately, several of my belongings were damaged during the move and handled poorly, including but not limited to my child's dresser drawer, scratches to my furniture, and skid marks on my couch that were not present before the move.
When I contacted him to discuss the damage, I was disappointed by how the conversation was handled. Rather than focusing on resolving the issue, he immediately became defensive, repeatedly blamed me for the damage, stating that I was unprepared, that my furniture was "cheap," and even referred to me as "petty" for wanting to address the damages that occurred. He repeatedly spoke over me and seemed focused on assigning blame rather than discussing a solution. I found those remarks and the way the conversation was handled to be unprofessional and unnecessary. My expectation was simply to have a respectful conversation about resolving the damage.
Throughout the move, I also found his demeanor and handling of the move to be unprofessional. He repeatedly referred to his partner using the word "ni**a" and made derogatory remarks towards his partner that I found inappropriate while working in my home.
I also personally observed him tossing my personal belongings while moving furniture, which raised concerns about how my items were being handled throughout the move.
Additionally, I observed him tossing garbage at the property and not making an effort to clean it up until I addressed it. When I brought it to his attention, he commented that it was a "gift" to me, which I found inappropriate and disrespectful.
On August 5, 2026, he stated that he was willing to replace my photo frame and repair the damaged drawer. During that conversation, he referred to the furniture as being "from IKEA" and "not solid wood" as a way to minimize the damage, although he was not aware of where the furniture was purchased. However, as of today, the matter has not been resolved, and I am still waiting for a satisfactory resolution, including appropriate compensation for any items that cannot be repaired or restored.
Since this happened, a few mutual members from Blaque Resources Network Facebook group have privately shared with me that they experienced similar issues but chose not to post publicly about their experiences.
Three people from FB have independently offered to help mediate between us, however, the damage remains unresolved. Jason has not followed through with coming to my home to assess the damages & no compensation or resolution has been offered for the documented damage.
I've attached his response to my original post in the Blaque Resources Network Facebook group, in which he publicly shared photographs of the interior of my home and my personal belongings without my knowledge or permission.
As of August 21st 2026, this business has blocked me on social media and one of the mediators indicated that the business is not open to visiting my home to assess the damages caused.
