I, however, did not, and I'd like to share my personal experience. I really appreciated the weighted feed. It was about the only real valuable portion of the consultation. But for $200, I probably could have asked my baby's pediatrician for a weighted feed for free. Autumn was very nice during the consultation, but I felt like all of her advice and direction was very generic. Nothing she recommended was specifically tailored to me and my particular situation. The whole appointment consisted of the weighted feed and showing me two nursing positions (side lying and laid back) that are easily found online. That's it. She kept repeating phrases like, "Nose to nipple, tummy to mummy," and "Turn baby like a rotisserie chicken." Phrases she reiterated anytime I had a question after the appointment. Nothing about the appointment felt personalized or curated to me and my baby's specific needs. I wanted some pumping advice, so I brought my pump and parts, but she didn't seem at all interested in helping me navigate my questions. Included in the fee was two weeks of unlimited communication. I started messaging her with questions the very next day because I wanted to make sure I got the most out of the two weeks. Every response felt like I was bothering Autumn. She'd repeat the same phrases she said at the appointment. When I asked for a more personal approach, she accused me of being a stressed mother. That was the final straw for me. I realized I wasn't going to get the help I so desperately needed. Needless to say, I've had to end my breastfeeding journey at this time and have gone back to exclusively pumping. I'm nervous to spend more money on another lactation consultant out of fear that it'll be a repeat experience.

Kim helped get me sized correctly for my pump parts and learning to hold my baby a more comfortable way during the feed. Autumn helped me with learning more positions, learning my pump, focusing on my diet and eliminating certain allergens to help with a diaper rash my baby got early on. Her recommendations on products, pediatrician and other pros were always spot on. My husband came to every session with me and it helped tremendously because he would remember things I didn't and supported me with every tip and trick Autumn gave us. I love the space of this office. It's clean, comfortable and feels like a little home away from home. The parking is also very convenient. I love that there's spots right by the entrance and no stairs. Highly recommend!

Their website is helpful and informative, and we were able to submit a form to be contacted - we met Jasmine on site to hear more about their doula services and other offerings. If you know early on that you're interested in using a doula, contact them sooner rather than later, as they have Open House events where you can meet their various providers to see who might be a good fit for you. I ended up getting induced a week later and did not end up using a doula - while my delivery went just fine without, it's worth looking into if you can afford it, and there is evidence that their involvement can shorten labor and improve outcomes. As first-time (and probably only-time parents), we were more concerned about having someone able to fully explain options to us and advocate for what we wanted in the hospital environment. That being said, WRM has more than just doula services - they also have midwives and a lactation consultant, as well as several classes offered onsite that you can take before, during and after your pregnancy. My husband and I took their 2-hour Newborn Care Class and it was helpful to hear the most important info and ask questions right before we had our baby. The class included a helpful book with free access to an app, and was led by their lactation consultant, Rory. It also served as a good way to get to know her in case we ended up needing LC services.

Don't make the same mistake we did. We hired Emily as an advanced doula from WRM when I was a little over 38wks. I didn't agree with my OBs decision to induce me early so even though I was so close to giving birth I considered going for the natural way instead. After meeting with Emily, my husband and I decided to labor at home and a hospital birth with Emily as our Doula. We only met with her Twice for prenatal care where we discussed my birth plan, and my main concerns about birth. I was very adamant about not wanting an induction. I also expressed my concerns regarding breastfeeding. She reassured me that even though things might not always go according to plan than she, as my doula/advocate will do her best to still give me the ideal birth I wanted by making sure my birth plan/requests are still honored. Also, that she will assist us with our transition taking our baby home. Everything sounded good. And I was looking forward to working with her. She said she can be in the OR during the delivery- she said it's all good because one of their owners actually sits on the board of Henderson Hospital. So they know her there and know her work. On the day my water broke I kept her posted. Texting and calling through contractions until it got really painful that my husband had to take over. Now just to really show you how unethical and uncompassionate Emily and this whole company is, She then asked for more money DURING LABOR!! stating that according to her contract half her doula fee of $1200 had to be paid before she can go to the hospital with us. We had already paid $900, and at the office she said we only needed to pay half prior the delivery and there will be a payment plan. We paid but this just left such a bad taste in my mouth. When Emily arrived at the hospital It had already been 36 hours since my water broke. My Doctor discussed the complications of a vaginal birth in my case. He suggested that I go for a c section because he thinks my baby will be 9-10 pounds & gave us a couple of hours to make a decision. I was so scared and so frustrated. I was in pain! After long consideration, we didn't want to take such great risks and decided to go for the surgery. Prior to going into surgery I Spoke with Emily again about my birth plan. I asked her if she will be there with me to watch over the whole thing and she said Yes. I really expected her to be present in the OR, as she will act as my advocate making sure my requests for my birth and baby were honored. I thought even if it's a c section, my birth can still be somewhat ideal. Unfortunately, most things on my plan were not followed: - I did not get immediate skin to - My baby's vernix was wiped off. - Cord clamping was Not delayed. - Exams for baby were not delayed. - Vaginal swab for cesarean birth was not done. Needless to say, I was so sad about this. Emily bought us dinner, took pictures & then left...since she can't do any sort of medical assistance there, she might as well be just any other visitor. She might as well just text us and act like a virtual doula because she was of no use to us at the hospital. After delivery my main concern was my baby's latch and breastfeeding. Emily sent me a "How to breastfeed" YouTube video the night of my delivery - like I will have the time to watch that?! I could have looked that up myself. These are all examples of her failing to show up for us. The first hours with my child are incredibly important! I needed immediate post partum care/ lactation assistance! Once you're in hospital care they hit you with "It's a liability!" Therefore their care cannot be provided. All their help are now deemed useless. If we fully understood this ' you're now under Hospital care caveat, that they can't intervene because it's all up to our doctors and nurses now, we wouldn't have hired WRM in the first place. When you complain about the lack of care/ services, get ready to be answered with...well technically it's in your contract so sorry. You're trying to cover with technicalities now? From a contract we unwittingly signed on an iPad for one minute on our way out the door. We had a TWO HOUR!! consultation with them, you'd think they'd take two minutes to go through the contract/ scope of services and limitations with you before taking your money. We tried setting up a meeting to discuss our experience multiple times in the course of 2 weeks, Not a single staff member from the WRM office returned our calls or bothered to get back to us. Again showing the lack of care for their paying clients. We're currently waiting on the status of this matter. I'll keep this review updated.

A friend of mine had hired Lisa and raved about her. We trusted Lisa with our entire breastfeeding journey and it was the best decision we could have ever made for our family. She helped us with everything. She met with us multiple times throughout my pregnancy to ensure we were prepared and ready for birth! When the day came to have my first daughter Lisa came to the hospital immediately after I gave birth. She helped me nurse for the first time. She walked me through everything. She supported our family in ways I never knew I needed. She advocated for me for post partum care and she immediately noticed that my baby has a tongue tie. She quickly called our pediatrician that she had recommended and she got us in the next day to get that corrected. She provided me with a nipple shield and all of the advice and everything I needed for our first night in the hospital. Lisa text me all night long to check on me. She came back the next day and then came to our home the day after that. We had to supplement for one day and Lisa walked us through that entire process. For two weeks she was there for every question at any time of the day. After a few weeks it calmed a bit but Lisa still remained there for support honestly forever. Because of Lisa I went on to nurse my first for nearly 3 years. Without her guidance, love and support I would have quit on night one. The tongue tie made it painful. But Lisa was there and assured me it would get better and it did. 4 years later I had another Baby and again we hired Lisa! Again she did the same! She supported us and our family every step of the way! With our second she struggled for a long time with severe eczema. Lisa was there for us the whole way! She helped us on our journey to get our daughter better! 3 years later came our third and Lisa is still here supporting our family! Except she is not only our Lactation Consultant she has become family! We love her so much and appreciate the love and support she has given to our family! ! She is so incredibly knowledgeable in her field. We love that she is straight to the point and gives you the best advice even if it's not always what you want to hear. If you hire Lisa you will get the best care for your babies hands down! Because of her I have been a nursing mom for almost 10 years! She recommended Smart Mouth and after scheduling the initial consultation, we were only able to have that consult upon finishing some required training. That training is crucial for all parents to understand the after care that is needed in order to have everything heal properly. Our consult with Dr. Tara was short and simple as I felt all the videos before answered the majority of my questions. She also was very patient and understanding while my oldest son was being noisy and kept interrupting our appointment. Upon arriving for my son's procedure, Dr. Tara confirmed there was not only a lip and tongue tie, but also a left buccal tie. She showed me the ties and it made sense based on the symptoms we were seeing with our son. Jennifer, the massage therapist, did some bodywork on our son before his procedure. Jennifer is absolutely incredible! She calmed my son so that he was relaxed for the cold laser. It was amazing to see as our son had been battling lots of body tension since birth due to the ties. The procedure was quick, I timed Dr. Tara and the cold laser was done in 4 minutes. Danisha, the lactation consultant, sat with us after to ensure our son was getting a good latch for breastfeeding. It was amazing to see how easily he was able to latch right after, especially because he had a hard time latching since birth. I highly recommend Smart Mouth to any parent or caregiver who is seeking a professional office with a team who is there to help educate you and empower you through the journey of correcting ties on your child. And please follow all the after care instructions as it makes a huge difference in healing. My mom works in healthcare as a therapist, so she explained to me the importance of the stretching. We were diligent with our son and I truly believe that's what helped him the most. He's now thriving with breastfeeding and putting on weight like a champ. First, I started producing breast milk, which did not happen at all with my first child. I also was able to stop taking painkillers the day after starting the supplement, and I believe it accelerated my postpartum recovery and helped stabilize my mental state. I did not experience postpartum depression, and before I knew it, I had overcome the most difficult period of postpartum sleep deprivation. I used the facility for the first time as a guest years ago and was asked to get an ID card just for SRWC since I wasn't a Rebel yet. There was a skin disease outbreak that happened that year so, I stopped going. They got that issue straightened out. Now that I am a Rebel, I get to come here for free, yay! I like the layout of equipments and how seated machines/equipments are red - my favorite color! The little details matter to me. My favorite is the running track since I love running and we don't have one at my regular gym. Please run in the right direction. It's clean, modern and doesn't seem cramped. Cardio machines, ab machines, free weights, basketball courts, pool...whatever exercise equipment needs you have, they got it. Please wear appropriate pants/underwear before using the leg abductor machine.

(I guess you can call it a hidden gem.) The SRWC and I go way back -- back before its birthday in 2007 and back when my waistline was teeny-tiny. Doing both my undergrad and grad years at UNLV, you can bet I've taken full advantage of the student facilities fee tacked onto my tuition. Currently, all students taking a summer class automatically have a membership for all three summer sessions. For the regular semester, 3.5 credits will grant you access to the gym. And man, what a gym! Even through the years, it has remained pristine and increasingly equipped with state of the art machines. The custodians are always cleaning, the staff for the most part is friendly, and if you avoid peak hours, you'll be in and out in no time. Be sure to check out the Rebel X group fitness classes, too! They're free. The gym features 4 floors: cardio room, weights, basketball courts, indoor jogging track. Amongst these floors, you will also find multipurpose courts, indoor pools/spa, locker rooms with showers, Einstein's Bros Bagel and cafe, Rebel Wellness Zone (with massage chairs), dental school office, counseling/psychological services, pharmacy, and the student health center for medical appointments. I'm so unbelievably grateful for the entire midwifery services provided by Mother's Choice Midwifery from start to finish. From every prenatal appointment to labor/delivery to postpartum care, I was continually supported and guided through every stage of my prenatal and postnatal care. I'm so grateful for midwives that trust the birthing process and the woman's ability to birth her baby. During my 41st week of pregnany my baby must have flipped without me knowing because while in labor we learned that baby had gone breech! When Tiffanie arrived at my home, I was asked if I wanted to be checked and told prior to the exam that based on the meconium coming out that she believed baby was breech. To all of our surprise, my baby indeed had gone breech! Tiffanie let us know that if we went to a hospital it would be an immediate c-section. Ironically, she had just received even further training on breech births. We went over our options and any potential risks involved and my husband and I were left to privately discuss what we wanted to do. Because I was fully dilated and more importantly, Tiffanie's absolute confidence in my ability to birth my baby in the safety of my home we decided to stay home and I'm so unbelievably grateful we did! About an hour and a half after Tiffanie arrived and checked me, our perfect little breech baby girl was born!!! Such an amazing experience and testimony to God's perfect plan! She knew just what to do to reach the 'finale' safely. All along the way, she made sure anything she did was with my consent. She was calm & reassuring. Other events caused more delays, which is the reason why there are very few reviews. Needless to say, the care I needed was delayed as well as the update of this review. In 2024, I specifically requested Pueblo Imaging because I had a poor experience with Simon Med. I forgot how poor of experience I had until I went to Simon Med again in 2025; where I got worse service. This is not Alternative for Women's fault, but it is their fault for not updating their records when I requested Steinberg instead. I know this because my mother (who has worked with medical scheduling systems) asked if I had requested Pueblo Imaging previously. That being said, I felt a little more understanding that Pueblo called after I asked for Steinberg Imaging. What my grievance is is that Alternatives for Women said that I requested Pueblo Imaging October 2025. The other poor experience that I had with Alternatives for Women was the delay with obtaining an updated referral. After asking for Steinberg, I had to call a few times. Each time I called, I was told that I would receive an email with the new referral. It took a few tries that I ran out of time in October. To my surprise, Pueblo Imaging called. I would have gone there, but it would not have been covered. So, I contacted Alternatives for Women again to correct this as I requested Steinberg. I got an updated referral after my Yelp review, but it was too late. It was impossible to get it scheduled in October as planned. I also went through a chain of events following so I could not schedule an appointment. I didn't know what to say because I still believe that it will still be a review with few stars. They confused a request from 2024 with 2025 and said that I requested Pueblo. I think that it was still in their system from 2024 because I know what I said about Pueblo Imaging. I didn't plan on coming back. They have great supplements and great recommendations for me, but I just couldn't. I am sorry that I could not provide a 5 star review because she is good at what she does. Again, I am sorry for the delay. I would say yes, this is a good place to go. You just need to be on top of stuff like knowing which pharmacy is open and you need to contact them and be sure that they updated their records before getting referrals. Double check.
