This tow truck driver was called to tow a pickup truck from a private driveway. Before he hooked up to the SUV we came out of the house and asked what he was doing. Instead of stopping, he put the bar out and lifted the back of the SUV. He said he was taking the SUV to his lot and wouldn't put it down unless we paid him $300. We had to call the cops to keep him from taking the SUV. The police said since he was hooked up it was a civil matter and we would need to take him to court for it to be resolved. The police talked him into lowering the fee to $100 so we paid him and he let the car down and left. He wasn't getting paid for the vehicle he was called to tow so he was going to get money from someone, whether it was legal or not! He was not helpful at all and wouldn't even tell us his name when the 911 operator asked for it. He said "it's on my shirt" but we standing in the dark and his shirt couldn't be seen. This guy will scam you for the most money he can get, even if it is illegally. If I could give zero stars I would. Also, this is on Christmas night.
