We were looking for some cleaner fresh food as a late lunch option and buy are we happy we found this spot. They greeted us as soon as we walked in and gave us a menu full of tastey utemd to choose from. I ended up going with chicken pad thai with fried rice. It was delicious. We also did some chicken and beef appetizers also a great start. My wife ordered won ton soup that had shrimp won tons. It was hit when it arrived and tasted amazing. We were in the area and wanted to grab lunch. We don't have a good Thai place close to us so we decided to try Zaap Zaap. It's a small place and they seem to do a decent amount of take out. It's clearly a mom and pop shop. The gentleman who took our order was helpful and answered a couple of questions. I got the Pad Kee Maw with chicken which I usually order at Thai places, and my husband got the Panang Curry with beef. Both were served when ready which meant my order came first. My husband really liked the Curry and took home the remaining broth. My Pad Kee Maw was very tasty however I would have liked a bit more vegetables. I wound up taking 1/2 of it home! Came here after hearing good things about it. It turned out to be true and we had a pretty good meal. Zaap Zaap Thai is in fact one of the best restaurants in Lockport and that is the truth. Even though it's in a strip mall it's not some crappy looking counter order place like you think it might be. There's also teas which help you cool off from eating spicy ass stuff. Basic favorites are on the menu. It's got the usual stuff like curries and noodles. There's also the boba tea. It's about $5 a cup. There's fruity and milky teas. As for the food, you can get something flaming ass hot. It's about $12 for an entree, pretty big portions. She got some Green Curry with tofu. I had the Pad See Ewe. This can be made vegan without eggs, and you get a choice of protein. Good thing we got cold tea because the food was spicy ass hot. It only was the mildly hot so don't be hard and get the hottest because you will cry like a baby when it burns your mouth. Zaap Zaap is some of the best food I've ever had in my life. It's our go to for every special occasion because we love it so much. I can't remember the last birthday I had when I didn't request it. You literally can't find better Asian cuisine anywhere around. You absolutely get what you pay for. The crab rangoon is the BEST I have EVER had. Our other go-to orders are the potstickers, fried rice, drunk man noodles (absolute HEAVEN), stir fried glass noodles, and moo dang with jasmine rice. Plus, the owner is SO kind and considerate. The green curry with chicken was also good and had a nice flavor to it. I was right- this became our go-to Thai place. Everything is still fresh and delicious. We've never ordered anything we didn't like. E1 and E2 are favorites. We've never actually eaten inside the restaurant though- we always do take out. Food is always ready on time and in a timely manner. Call early on weekend nights because they do get very busy then. We open the menu and found things that we like I ordered the Tom Kha soup with chicken and the chicken satay they call it Gai Satay. the Tom kha soup which is Thai coconut I had and sour soup was four dollars for chicken five dollars for shrimp the menu description is tying famous coconut hot and sour soup, chicken or shrimp, mushrooms, cabbage, and it taste the coconut and Galanga herb broth, topped with cilantro. The soup While spicy is amazingly delicious and has a lot of chili flakes in it but all the vegetables are cooked to perfection. The start of the soup aside from the chicken is the straw mushrooms I love straw mushrooms and this place delivers them Everything was hot and fresh and homemade it tasted if we were in someone's kitchen it was that good. I got the red curry veggie style so it came with tofu and some more veggies than what is in the description. It was spicy just the way I like it and very flavorful. My dad got Pad Kee Mow (drunk man noodle) with beef (spicy) and it was his first time trying Thai food. He can't stop raving about how delicious it was. My mom got the Pad Nam Prig Pow with beef (medium spice) and also thought it was very good. Her first Thai experience as well.
