The dentist took the time to go over everything with me and worked together with me to come up with a plan that made sense. The whole process felt easy and stress-free. I've had braces done twice with Dr. Brandon to correct my teeth. Fast forward to now, my tooth (#11) still does NOT align with the rest of my teeth properly. I've since been seen by two other doctors who both refused to do any composite bonding or additional work because they stated this issue should have been corrected during the time I had braces/ he needs to be the one to correct the issue. Especially after going through treatment twice with Dr. Brandon. On May 20th, I went in for an evaluation and X-rays. Instead of taking accountability or offering to correct the issue, Dr. Brandon referred me out. I spoke with one of the locations I was referred to, explained my situation and they stated Dr. Brandon should be the one correcting this since it should have been addressed during my original treatments and they feel he's brushing me off. Very disappointing experience after spending years trusting him with my teeth. On top of all this speaking with Maricela Macumba was frustrating. She is rude, dismissive, and lacks basic customer service skills. It's honestly embarrassing that Dr. Brandon has someone like this representing his office and handling patients. After spending years and money with Dr. Brandon. I expected professionalism, accountability and respect. Not attitude and being brushed off. Instead of "Five Star Family Dental". I would have to give it a One Star.

There was a little confusion regarding the chauffeur on the day of the appt; no one ever informed me that my ride would need to be present in the waiting room for the entire duration of the procedure which was a little frustrating but not something I would consider to be a major inconvenience. Post-op had very very little pain even off the pain meds--I even had a complicated impaction for one tooth yet still very little pain--Dr. Walters knows what she doing! Had to make my own follow up appt after the extractions which was a little confounding because no one else ever brought the matter up; generally I would expect that this would have been scheduled before hand or at least the matter would have been brought to my attention by the office staff--all in all, this is a minor issue/mistake and don't believe that this warrants a rating demerit. Both Drs. Klenke & Walters are both extremely professional & highly personable & especially courteous. I would absolutely recommend this dentist office. The hygienist & clerical staff are great! Very professional & efficient. Teri, the financial coordinator is great as well--very clear & patient in planning for the financial aspect of the treatment plan. Very very VERY satisfied customer overall & will def remain a customer; I have my routine cleaning & porcelain fillings appts already scheduled! I make it a habit to know what services I receive and what kind of benefits that are associated with the services through insurance. Yesterday, I received a bill in the mail (first time) saying that I owe almost $2,000. (The bill has no information of any kind explaining where this amount is coming from) So, naturally I was concerned and called the dentist office immediately. This is the first time I am seeing or hearing this amount billed to me. I spoke to a newly hired office employee that explained to me that I had been carrying a balance for almost 2 years for services that were rendered. Everytime I get any kind of treatment or service, I make it a habit to PAY IN FULL the amount that is owed the date services are rendered. If not, then I set up a PAYMENT PLAN to cover any remaining amount the date services are rendered. The young lady on the phone explained to me EOB's that are covered through insurance and the remaining amounts are billed to the clients. My questions were why am I just now receiving a bill? Why are you threatening to send me to collections in 10 days if the bill is not paid in full? Why did I not receive a statement, phone call, or bill prior? Why would I continue to get services/ treatment at an establishment if I have an open balance? Why doesn't the bill show detailed information about what was billed for and why? The billing system that created this document hasn't been updated since 2022 showing the lack of monitoring the billing system has. (Shown at the bottom of the bill) Keep in mind, I received this bill (for the first time) 12/23/24. Two days before Christmas. Judging by the past reviews of disgruntled prior existing patients, it seems that I am not the only one who has had issues with the billing department and the LACK OF TRANSPARENCY through billing. I would never agree to pay for services, NOT knowing the full amount that is due at the time of services. This type of business practice appears to be shady and not forthcoming. This kind of business practice literally leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Location: Located in the Pearl/Downtown area, I was scared that parking was going to be hectic, but they have a parking structure for their patients within a close walking distance and if you're lucky they have street parking as well. Staff: Everyone is so friendly and professional, overall you can tell how happy the employees are because they always give the best customer service. Cleaning: Their process is very thorough and detailed. My first visit took almost 1.5 hours, they really take the time to check your baseline teeth and gum health. And three, while the office design was nice, the technology they used for the cleaning was a bit old-school (dated). I'm just used to a practice that uses newer forms of cleaning and polishing procedure. As I was private pay, the total was $250+, which is highway robbery for a simple cleaning. I go every few months, so my teeth are almost always never a problem. I was in and out in 30-40 minutes. The cost didn't come anywhere near equating to the experience. She was a wonderful assistant, a true asset to the office, and a real loss when she left. I always enjoyed my visits, and I appreciated watching how confidently Dr. Martinez worked. Things changed when Mary joined the office. I felt she was not honest with me about scheduling, and I brought my concerns directly to Dr. Martinez, hoping he would address the issue. Nothing changed. Later, when I needed another dentist to review my records, I asked Mary to transfer them. She was impatient, told me she would take care of it, and never did. That incident made my decision clear. I wish Dr. Martinez had taken my concerns seriously when we spoke, but because nothing was done, I will not be returning to his office. I have since found another dentist whose office is just as skilled and far more caring and friendly. These guys are the literal best. Everyone at the office is so kind and seems to make a point of making visits as stress free as possible. The receptionists have always treated me kindly and have not rushed me when I'm scheduling with them or have additional questions, the hygienists are professional but talk you through every step so you aren't surprised as to what's going on or what happens next, and the dentists themselves are quick but efficient in handling the concerns brought up. I'd mentioned tooth hypersensitivity in one area and the hygienist went out of her way to numb the location for my routine cleaning and the dentist went over possible advanced solutions to help. I ended up getting a filling over the area which has helped the sensitivity immensely. At no other office I've tried prior have they offered to numb the location to help with the discomfort or be proactive about the issue when I've brought attention to it. I never thought it I could be such a simple fix, but they took the time to care and the issue's been mostly resolved. It's absolutely worth noting that the hygienists and the dentists aren't rough in the slightest and have the gentlest touch. While I myself don't have dentist anxiety, I'm sure this must be a relief for those that experience it. It also seems he missed a broken tooth, because he recommended a get it filled also, but when the compound broke off and I went in to get it replaced, he said the tooth was actually broken in half and needed additional work. I have since started seeing a new dentist, who found the weak fillings and replaced them for me, and I've had no problems so far.
