This is our go to spot it is so good, and service has been very friendly and welcoming every time! My favorite is their fried mozzarella and banana pudding! SOO good! My overall experience at Zachary's was amazing! I was greeted politely at the door was was taken to my booth while I waited for my friend. Once my friend arrived, our server came to the table and to be honest, she was pretty rude and it seemed as if she didn't want to serve us. My friend and I assumed she was having a bad day so we kind of looked over it. A few moments later, another lady came over to our table and ask how we were doing. We told her about our server and she sincerely apologized for her attitude. We weren't upset or anything because we know that everyone has a bad day and we didn't take it personal! After she apologized, she left our table and came back to give us a free peanut butter cookie! We were not expecting it at all and we were both pleasantly surprised. I'm not saying this because we got a free cookie but I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for comfort food. Besides the small incident with our server, everyone there was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was great and it was all at a reasonable price. Really cool bar in downtown Columbus. I have been here a handful of times now and have enjoyed the food and atmosphere everytime. They have a nice bar if you want to grab a quick meal/drink and plenty of tables and booths on the bar side for socializing and game watching. There is also a nice big patio for the smoking crowd. Not sure if its dog friendly...maybe I'll ask next time I go back. For those family folks the right side of the restaurant has family seating and is a little quieter. As far as food goes, I've gotten stuck on the wraps because that is what I got first and I thought they were really good. I've had the shrimp and buffalo chicken. Ask for the house dressing (which is a chipotle ranch)...you won't regret that. I thought I already wrote a review, but I guess I didnt. One of my favortie places to eat in the Golden Triangle area. The employees are friendly. The food is always great, the service is always great, and I would recommend it to anyone. I like to try something new everytime that I go and I am never disappointed. It can be somewhat loud or busy, especially by the bar, but it is never unbearably loud, and I have never had to wait to be seated. I prefer the patio outside when the weather is nice. read more

We weren't even acknowledged, you know how sometimes they say "I'll be with you in a second"... it's like we were invisible. What a nice place -- good food and friendly people. Thank you, Zachary's, for having some really good gluten-free food on the menu. My older daughter is finishing up her graduate studies at MUW and she has especially enjoyed the delicious gluten free hamburger buns there. This was my first time to visit. My daughter has been there several times and says that the service is always friendly. Columbus, MS, is a really neat town, with MUW, the river walk, and the shops downtown. Happened to stay over tonight in Columbus before a college tour and debated on a few places for dinner. So glad we ended up at Zachary's. we go here a lot and I've always been more than happy until today. For a change I ordered a burger. What a mistake. First the bottom bun was so soggy that I had to turn the burger upside down to keep it from coming apart. Not sure why it was wet, sure wasn't from the meat patty which was so dry I couldn't eat it. After about 3 bites, pulled it out of the bun and ate the rest without the meat. It was so over done (well done +++), can't believe that I got something like that here. Ford was pretty good! Burger was huge. Fried Mozzarella breading has no seasoning/spices, and alfredo doesn't come with enough sauce and tastes like a canned alfredo sauce. Overall still decent place! read more

I don't award 5 stars lightly, but this sports bar deserves it. I've been 3 or 4 times with my daughter and they've never disappointed me. Everything we've tried was excellent, and almost everything was reasonably priced. My favorite is the whitefish poboy; blackened and paired with remoulade sauce, it is well complemented by the seasoned fries. My daughter recently tried the chicken gyro, and she, too, was satisfied. We polished it off with banana pudding, which is fantastic, even if it's the one thing that seems a little pricey: for $6, I think they could include a little more. But it's excellent and convenient, and the service has always been good. read more

Your typical bar and grill. Our server was friendly, pleasant, and too good care of us. The restaurant is clean and decorated with sports memorabilia. When we walked it, it's a seat yourself restaurant, but after a little while of looking for a table we almost left as the place was full. Someone helped us locate a table with no chairs, and got chairs for our party of 6. My shrimp poboy didn't have much shrimp compared to the big ole hoagie bun it came in and I had half the load left one I ate all the shrimp. It came with doing sauce and the sandwich was tasty. Zachary's is an awesome, laid back place to eat! It's conveniently located downtown and it's one of the only restaurants in town with outdoor seating...which blows my Mind because the city is on a river...but I'll complain about that elsewhere. The new chef has an amazing menu. The shrimp wrap is delicious, the pasta dishes are phenomenal, and the shrimp/fish salads are healthy and tasty. I also appreciated that all meals are served on pewter dishes. Also, they have one of the best bottled beer selections in town. All in all, a fun location for dinner or lunch. read more

My wife and I go to Columbus MS on the border between MA and AL. We had never quite found that spot to eat while we were there until this weekend. Nestled in the Columbus downtown area Zacharys doesn't look like much from the outside. Conspicuously adorned with Chicago Cubs flare on the outside a bit out of place for the southern states but still welcoming. We were promptly greeted and sat by the host. Our server was gracious and polite. She was efficient and courteous. My wife has a habit of getting servers to recommend items on the menu when unfamiliar with an establishment. The server recommended a chicken wrap that my wife found pleasing. We had potato skins as an appetizer and I had a burger. For dessert we had a peanut butter pie all of which were very good. I tried the white fish wrap with house salad and the meal turned out very delicious. I love their salad and this was one of the best meals I've had in Columbus. Great Saturday Afternoon stop! We wanted something local and this was a sports bar feel with wonderful fried mushrooms. Our group also tries a variety of wraps. My daughter had the southwestern chicken wrap. It's like they toast or grill the wrap and it added something a little extra. Today I found out how bad a burger can be. This was definitely a new low, asked for a medium rare patty and was served with a well done burger. The patty was flavorless , burnt and dry.
