    Lamb chops

Everything we tried was unique and delicious. This is a great place to go with friends and try a bunch of dishes. We tried the gunpowder cauliflower - don't let the name scare you , it wasn't too spicy - coming from a spice novice. The butter chicken and the lamb chops. The seating is tight. In fact , very narrow. The service is friendly even though they are busy. You can tell there is pride taken in the service and food prep. The prices are a little high but for dishes I could never even begin to try to duplicate , I think it's worth it.

Modern take on Pakistani cuisine with options including apple pakora topped with caviar. Inside you will find plush seating with pink neon with tranquil music overhead. We opted for the tasting menu which was as very filling and tasty. Service was slow but otherwise great place.

There is a nice seating area in the back with a foosball/table soccer.

Also delicious were the tender lamb and well cooked shrimp. Definitely check this place out for delicious Indian food. The waitress was also very sweet.

She said she'd just eaten here a week before but was happy to go again; that says something! To start the evening, I got an Indian Summer Bourbon (75 dkk) which was nicely heavy on the bourbon but wasn't that great even though there was supposed to be Limoncello in it. Two of my favourite alcohols, how could it have gone so wrong? Also it had some dry herbs sprinkled on top which got all over my lips and teeth so I had to ask for a straw. Odd drink! Luckily the Chettinad Special Fish (137 dkk) fared much better with perfectly cooked salmon/trout in a delicious thick sauce. I was surprised that it came with pink fish as I assumed most fish used in Indian cuisine has white flesh. I guess the restaurant is just working with what they can get here. It came with rice and I ate the whole thing. I also got a bite of Maria G.'s Lamb Sukka Varuval Fry (139 dkk) which had great texture and taste. Normally I don't get dessert but I love Gulab Jamun (55 dkk) so I had to give theirs a try. It was so delicious but also very hot, so be careful! Maria kindly let me have some of her pistachio Kulfi (49 dkk) to cool my mouth and I almost regretted not getting that instead. I love pistachio ice cream and this was no exception! It was a little hard to hear my tablemates in there but I could definitely hear the party behind me. And although the waiter was nice, he forgot about us a couple times as the place was filling up. We asked him for some more fried chilies (which were incredibly salty on their own but seasoned our dishes well) and had to wave him down again once our food was half-eaten. But this is nothing that would keep me from coming back again for great food at a very decent price.

We tried Grød at two locations: the Torvehallerne market and at 7Eleven. The market, I ordered the Oat Porridge which came with apples, roasted almonds and caramel sauce, my mom had the All In! and my dad had the oat waffle. All of us (mostly) left satisfied. My picky father loved his waffle. And I really enjoyed the porridge I had. The oats perfectly cooked, the apples and almonds gave it a nice textural contrast. Plus the caramel, which was more like a dulce de leche added the perfect amount of sweetness without being too sweet. My mom was a bit ambivalent because the All In was too sweet. But to be fair, All In includes all of their toppings. Including chocolate and caramel so her assessment was fair! The Grød at 7Eleven had this wonderful chia pudding, layered with yogurt, natural peanut butter, a berry compote and nuts and I was obsessed. So simple, yet so wholesome. I found a cup at the airport and proceeded to import it back to the States. Overall, it was definitely worth a visit (or 2) to have my mind blown. Grød may not have intended it but this lil Westerner is now leveling up her oats game thanks to their menu!

They could be more successful but they are stuck in a residential area without a lot of casual foot traffic. We ate hear one weekday night and there were perhaps 3-4 other families here. Place is clean and welcoming; we were greeted promptly and seated, had reserved via The Fork. Masala Chai and starters arrived very late. Chai had no flavor, were charged DKK 29 for a few cold papads. Chicken Hariyali starter arrived sizzling and tasted pretty good. Mains by way of Chicken Do Pyaaza and Bombay Aloo were passable but not special-all, quite bland; spices did not pop in the mouth as authentic, freshly ground spices would! Mixed Tandoori Grill again arrived hot and sizzling, and the meats were quite tender and tasty. Ordered Peshwari Naan, which tasted like pita bread with a few sweet shredded coconut flakes thrown in! Coconut and Peshwari Naan?? Complained to the waitress who mentioned that the chef was new and that he would remake it..a few minutes later she returned to state that the head chef had informed her that this is how he has made Peshwari Naan for the past two years and was not about to change the recipe! What a sham...calling it Peshwari Naan and charging the unsuspecting customers extra for it! Quite unacceptable in my opinion. Because of our complaint, the waitress brought over Garlic Naan and charged us for it; the naan again tasted like pita bread with little to no garlic evident! Finally we chose Tandoori Roti as a compromise/compensation (waitress did not charge us for it), but by the time it arrived, we were through with all the curries-so nothing to eat the Naan with! Overall, quite disappointed with the offerings, not planning to return. There are other Indian restaurants relatively proximate, like The Cave, that offer far more authentic and tasty fare.

Papadum - Rice.. Not very flavorful, regular rice. It works with a flavorful sauce on the side. (Whats so neon green?)
