I was recently separated and need an attorney for my divorce hearing. I met with Paul and decided to go with them. After I paid the retainer fee I was reassigned to a junior attorney who did not help me to get what I wanted or felt was reasonable in my case. Every person I have spoken to since my divorce was finalized have told me how bad I got screwed and how terrible my attorney must have been. It is true, they did not advise me or look for the best angles for negotiating and ultimately I ended up paying thousands and thousands of dollars I probably should never have had to. read more

They just want to bill you. The day I signed and gave them a retainer they gave me some helpful information on what happen next and what I would need to gather for my divorce. After a while I wasn't happy with my lawyer (Monica) and while I was looking for new representation Monica sent me an email that was obviously copied and pasted with the same information that I received on the first day and billed me a few hundred dollars for her time. I asked for them not to bill me for information they had already given me, but they just kept saying to read my agreement. I called Paul, he didn't have the decency/professionalism to call me back. He did email me saying "That you state that you didn't request the email is not relevant". I called again and he never called back. So, if you're looking for some hack lawyers who bill you for everything they can, this is the place!!!! read more

Money grab! Charged me $30k in fees and only went to court twice and handle my case for 4 months. Don't use this group! They continue to charge me $80 a month to process a CC to pay THEM! Disgusting! High turnover in the office meant that I had numerous attorneys on my case. When it came time for trial/speaking to the court, Mr. Zahn grandstanded and was unprepared so much the Judge started speaking to her clerk instead of listening. I had to intervene and REMIND him why we were there and to stay on point! I was billed through the roof, nothing happened I wanted and my kids and I are still suffering the repurcussions of 50/50 when it was def NOT in their best interest. Find another attorney that actually cares and isn't in it for the "fight" just to get more money. read more

I have to say when I went online for every divorce lawyer I had a hard time deciphering who to pick. Paul Zahns office was recommended to me by his landlord. Unfortunately, we were not a good match. He used language when I asked him what does a domestic violence divorce case would cost he said ,5,000 to 500,000 thousand dollars,and this sums the firm up. I wrote 5 emails back and forth to get a straight answer.It was like dragging me in the dirt.Not helpful to someone with a restraining ordered and under a lot of stress. They add STRESS, and in my option lack integrity. My lawyer was a few minutes late to our court date for restraining order.(this was a start to an already stressful day) I asked to negotiate an offer after receiving one from my estranged husband. She said no to me.They like to milk you for as much as they can with passive -aggressive energy. I will say I jumped ship to Bamieh and De Smith and it was my greatest choice. They used language like we are honored to work for you. They were already working for me before they received any monies to move me out of a court who was assigned as a new judge to someone who is an elder with domestic violence.They didn't make sure I was in the best hands possible in the court system. Paul Zahn and Monica Frye will see you as a number and a meal ticket.They are not into detail and when I google Monica Frye not much comes up. I said, do not respond to any lawyers right now and she didn't listen to my request.I was billed the whole week after my request. They proceeded to bill me over a 1000.dollars after I requested a seize by email. Not a fun time to work with this firm. Lesson learned! I hired Paul Zahn to review a standard and short 10 page prenuptial agreement. The very simple agreement terms were discussed with and written by my wife's lawyer in 1.5 hours. My wife's lawyer, ($395/hr), charged her a total of $1500. I had decided to hire Paul because the agreement is supposed to be stronger when reviewed by my own hired lawyer. So, all I wanted was a fast and cheap review, telling Paul I had looked this over, was involved in the draft and wanted him to sign it. He kept sending me emails and charging me $80 per email for the time used to write them. He insisted on scheduling a call that I told him I didn't need but he insisted, and he charged me again for that naturally. For the review, Paul charged me $2585. He stated it took him 4.6 hours to review this small and standard document, 27.6min/page, while researching online led me to believe 15min per page was expected for a common style of legal documents. I wish I had chosen another firm. Absolutely don't recommend it for any young couples getting married with little to no assets. read more
