I booked my first massage for 2026 a month ago, and luckily booked one for yesterday. Both were excellent as usual. I have had a number of massage therapist over the last few decades and just two or three top this list in my mind. Yesterday, Blake is one of those. Zalla is a cute & unique hidden gem that could be mistaken for an outdated or old home. I was gifted a gift card to try Zalla. As I entered, I was greeted with a smile. It was my first time receiving a prenatal massage, so I was a little nervous. Unlike regular massages, the therapist has to avoid various pressure points. Blake did a great job! He was knowledgeable and didn't hesitate to answer my questions or address my concerns. He made sure I was okay & comfortable throughout the entire session. As a result, I became more relaxed. I did everything I could not to fall asleep so I could enjoy it. Being in my 3rd trimester made that a challenge, but I made it through the entire 60 minutes. I was in dire need of a massage after hurting my neck at the gym. I came across Zalla and made a same day appointment as they had availability to take me in. They had some parking available out front for patrons. I checked in, completed the paper work and Kabir came to walk me into the room. I chose a 60 min Swedish massage which was not long enough. Kabir was exceptional and really hit all the spots I was having tension in. This is now my go to place as the customer service is exemplar and they offer you discounts pretty often which makes the cost reasonable. Really nice experience at Zalla with a prenatal massage. Tatiana was excellent. She listened regarding my preferences and aches and made sure I was comfortable (I was 36 months pregnant at the time). She set up some pillows for me to lie on my side and it was so comfortable (better than my pregnancy pillow set-up at home, tbh). She was gentle and patient but knew exactly which points to hit to work out the kinks. It was so relaxing that I drifted off into that magical space between wakefulness and sleep. I definitely felt great after. The aches came back the next day but hey, that's pregnancy. Overall, the studio was very pleasant and relaxing. I was welcomed by a friendly receptionist. It seems that they really try to maintain social distancing for their clients. You text them once you park and they tell you when to enter. It was also very easy to book an appointment via their website. Obviously, it's not cheap. I was gifted a prenatal massage by a generous friend otherwise I'd never been able to afford their services. If you can and enjoy massages, then I highly recommend Zalla. They do have a private parking lot although it's pretty cramped and can be a little tricky to navigate. read more

My experiences at Zalla have always been very positive (I have had three massages there). They are warm and friendly and their massage therapists are excellent. I've also had a massage (one time) at a chain massage service company. There is no comparison to the attention to your well being between Zalla and a chain based outfit. I had been craving a massage for quite some and finally had an hour to myself to bring it to life! Well, more like 40 minutes because that was what fit best with their schedule and my budget. I made the appointment less than two hours in advance and really appreciated how professional they were about on-boarding me as a new client. Once you arrive at this darling (once residential house) located in the Montrose area, you'll quickly notice that they've made use of every room in this house for massage sessions. It was a really smooth and smart operation from the outside looking in. While waiting for my therapist, I enjoyed the fireplace waiting area, flavored spa water, essential oils and meditation cards they made available. The bathroom was equally tidy and tranquil. My 40 minute massage focused on my neck and face/jaw along with some foot action (weird combo that I requested ) and nailed it! 3 stars is only because the massage was good, but overall experience has some issues. We arrived and followed the instructions on the door to text and wait in the car (terrible policy) with no response until 10 min after our appointment time. When they called, we are asked if we were going to make our appointment. After explaining we were sitting outside per instruction, they said the text did not come through (confirmed the number was right and proved we sent it). Once we were inside, the experience was not welcoming and somewhat awkward. Unfortunate way to begin your attempt to unwind. The massage time was 50 min - every place is different, but given the price of $250 for couples, I would expect the full 60 min. On the bright side, the massage techs were good, very attentive to problem areas and asked if they were doing a good job. Wow, this was one of the best end-to-end massage experiences I've ever had. I woke up one day with a sharp pain under my shoulder blade, and it started affecting my day-to-day activity. I happened to be in Houston so I looked for a massage place offering deep tissue or sports massage. Zalla to the rescue! I called and made a same-day appointment, and the person on the phone was patient and accommodating. I arrived a bit early to fill out my forms for my first time, and just from the intake form you can tell that the staff takes care in understanding what you are coming in for. I love that the massage therapist makes sure to consult with you on your problem areas, and is very communicative and respectful of your needs and boundaries. Astrid went above and beyond; she was prompt, responsive, and attentive. There is a large waiting area stocked with tea, inspirational cards, and cucumber water. I found everything to be immaculate. Astrid ensured that the massage room was clean and comfortable. The temperature was perfect, and the music was relaxing and not distracting. I also like it when the massage therapist gives clear instructions on how to lay down and what will happen over the course of the massage time, and she did a great job of this. I didn't feel like she was upselling in a "take advantage" way- she was just straightforward and gave me a full idea of what kinds of aromatherapy and oils I could add on to my massage. She focused on exactly what I specified I needed help with. I found the pressure she used to be precisely what I asked for. The hot stone therapy and oils really made me feel relaxed. I respond and call the next day to see if they need anything from me. No response, I assume they have the office closed to public for this particular event. I arrive and call and message again cause the place looks closed. Finally someone responds saying they believe it's already began and they found someone already. The facebook post was very vague. I just had my baby shower and I was so sore. I also love 35 min away, and im 8 months pregnant! Get your stuff together!! This is not cool. read more

Honest Review of My Experience: The process was very slow from beginning. I never received the digital form and was made to wait in my car for over 10 mins after my massage time for them to check in other clients (I was the first there). The room that was selected was very small, and bright (large window with white curtain) which made it hard to relax and it also had an "old home" smell - no scent of lavender or something to help relax (or mask the smell). This caused me and the therapist to chat more than I would normally like for 90 mins and paying over $100 for a massage. My therapist Mannicka was very attentive to my body, feeling for tightness and tenseness. I like that she didn't follow a script for the body.. she literally just worked everything by touch. The 2 stars are for her. I wouldn't return simply because I didn't have the best experience and it felt over priced but maybe the other rooms in the house are nicer, more dim and have a better smell. read more

5 months pregnant I started to have sciatic nerve pain, was extremely painful and someone recommended getting a prenatal massage, so I decided to try this place out.
