This is not my first rodeo, but my first time I needed Zander. I was hit and run (taped by an uber driver and offender had no plates) well over two weeks ago. My mint 10 year old BMW convertible with 44,000 miles had a dented left bumper, dented left rear panel, and busted light; the car and light and all electronics worked fine and the police even said it was drivable. I work 24-7 as a cancer doc and was headed away in 2 weeks for vaca so I wanted to get some repairs moving. Well, working with Zander took over 10 calls a day (everyone was always on the phone, at lunch and all except Catie [who was not assigned to me] NEVER called back. I ended up taking the car to a dealership/autobody in the area after getting no where and was supposed to have a rental car arranged by Elnora Lawrence at Zander meet me there. Never happened. Next day, Zander told me they would bring a rental car to my hospital as I was still seeing patients when the rental place closed. Never happened. I go on vaca (now 2 weeks post accident) and still don't even have a Zander adjuster signing off on my repairs or my agent, Brooke Day, ever calling me back despite my many calls to both. Then, on my first day of vaca, Zander (now Cody, not Elnora) finally calls and tells me that my car is totaled. Vaca ruined. Interestingly, no one from or sanctioned by Zander ever even looked at my car. So the autobody place I took my car (without any help from Zander) and Zander both have been useless, and a hit and run will likely cost me $20,000 or more to purchase an equivalent car. Of note, the autobody quoted $7,200; Zander never performed an independent appraisal, and my car on Kelly Blue Book is worth $13,000. There is no justice. read more

I was a victim of Identity Theft a year ago. I was horrified and did not know what to do. I ended up doing all the leg work on my own. Eventually, I signed up with Norton Life Lock thinking it would get me back on track. Well lets just say when I received alerts from them showing that the person(s) was still trying to receive credit in my name amongst other things. I called Norton only for them to tell me that I would have to do the leg work. "Wait I thought that was the reason why I was paying you guys". Caller "no" you will need to contact the people; we don't call the creditors. Let's just say I dropped them at the end of the month after paying them $60 a month for services that did not benefit me. I called a good friend of mines and explained to her what happen with Norton and she suggested that I give Zander a try because she was thought it was time to protect her identity. Lets just say it was the best decision I ever made!! I could not believe the experience I had with Zander after receiving email notifications that someone has tried to get credit in my name. Talking about a night and day experience. Zander is doing all the leg work and has put me at ease. Zander is changing my everyday life with confidence knowing someone has my back. First let me start by saying I currently have a policy with a provider and Zander insurance Is my broker. Last year during the heart of Covid I tried increasing my coverage but because of the Covid unknowns, my premiums would've been way too expensive to change my policy. I called back this year and spoke to Matthew Miller. I explain to him my situation and he took The time to visit with some of the providers to see how they are responding to Covid and to see what the best Route for me to go was. The next week he called back and provided me with Some options that unfortunately were not what I was expecting. But instead of just ending the call and moving on to the next client, he visited with me for a good amount of time about my financial situation to see if changing my policy was even necessary. After this discussion, he realized that I had enough coverage already and made the recommendation to not change anything. I really appreciated that he wasn't trying to oversell me a policy just for the business. Matthew has high integrity and it is evident that Zander Chooses the best employees to work for them. Justin Rippetoe, with Zander Insurance, displayed the highest level of integrity, service, and follow-through that I have ever seen from an insurance agent/broker. While trying to reduce my auto insurance rates, Justin and I had a bit of miscommunication that resulted in me learning that my previous auto insurance would not cover my adult children who lived in different states from me, nor would the new insurance policy that I had just purchased from Justin. After the shock and anger of having paid for an inadequate and expensive policy from a well-known insurance company for years wore off, Justin worked with me and my kids directly to sort the situation out and get us all on track with appropriate coverage for all of us. Initially my husband and I applied for term life insurance and had a bad experience. From the blood test visit down to Zander dropping the ball with customer service when our apps never got sent to the right spot . HOWEVER , after filing a complaint on their website directly to ask for assistance , I received an email and call the same day from an exec named Rebecca . At this point , everything turned around. Rebecca was immediately responsive to every question we had , advocated for us with 2 different insurance companies and didn't stop until our policies were finally approved . I had a particularly difficult case due to some issues and Rebecca was an amazing rock in our corner , contacting underwriters directly . Even though it wasn't her job , she handled our case from beginning to end and never once pushed us off to anyone . People make mistakes and unfortunately sometimes things happen. But when Zander put Rebecca on the case , we knew they took customer service seriously and wanted to make things right. I heard about Zander through Dave Ramsey. It is very important to have insurance and it be affordable for your family. My current agent before I got Zander back peddled quickly after I said I was taking my business else where and that the quote he gave was preliminary. I quickly notified him that Zander gave me a quote as well and it was better than his quote. For an additional $5 a month, my husband and I upped our Life Insurance by $200K. Their process was easy and the quote came quickly. They didn't blow up my phone. As I work most of the day, that is a hassle I don't appreciate from sales people. I wanted to make sure my husband and I were covered in case anything were to happen. Zander made the process very easy. I could email at any time with questions and receive an answer in a day or less. Their customer service is superb. Thank you for providing useful products for the everyday person at affordable costs. DO NOT GIVE ZANDER YOUR PHONE #!!!! Prominently on Zander's Term Life website is the promise, "We do not sell your personal information to anyone. You will not receive unsolicited, intrusive calls or emails from other agents and companies across the country." This is nothing but a pack of lies. It is two days after providing my cell # to this company, this company and no other, and I've received 5 calls in the last 8 hours from various companies claiming to be doing a follow-through on my search for health insurance. These people have undoubtedly purchased my cell # from Zander Insurance. I've complained to Zander Insurance directly and Dave Ramsey about their duplicity, and his continued involvement with them. I'm reporting each company that calls me, as well as Zander Insurance, to the FTC and the BBB for these business practices. Despicable. EDIT: After several days I limited incoming calls to people on my contact list, because the volume of sales reps trying to get ahold of me (and hanging up when I asked to be taken off their call lists) was simply outrageous. read more

I read through the previous "comments/reviews", I'm not surprised. It becomes evident who is writing them. The poor reviews (just a few of them) seem to have been written by spoiled brats that think they are "entitled" to everything and have no life experience or patients. The positive reviews (the majority of the reviews) are written by balanced and experienced people who understand business and employees dedicated to their tasks. My wife and I have been around the block a few times and owned a few businesses, and it is not easy to please customers, especially in the service industry. April at Zander did a fabulous job keeping me informed every step of the way. Being a diabetic I was impressed with the ease of getting life insurance through Zander Insurance Agency. The difference between State Farm and Zander Insurance Agency is night and day. State Farm should take lessons from you guys. They are not the company they used to be! I had been avoiding getting life insurance for years because I assumed it would be a difficult & expensive process. Zander made it simple. The initial call to give them all my information was tedious taking about 1 hour & 15min. They asked a lot of questions. The next step was to get lab works completed they made it convenient by offering a local lab, someone to come to my home or office. I went to our local lab and although I wasn't impressed with the lab technician it was quick & easy. I had been concerned I wouldn't qualify do to having an auto immune disease but thankfully everything was good and I was approved. The price came in less then I had expected. The only thing I would change is having done this earlier. The fear of the unknown kept me from applying and now I have the confidence that if anything happens to me my children will have one less thing to worry about. read more

I was referred to Mari Boulton by a friend who works there (Iris Nieves) and Mari was instrumental in getting us switched over for our homeowners and auto insurance. She was kind, professional and just amazing. Our renewal came out this year and Mari directed me to our rep, a new hire, named Ali Lewis. She, just like Mari, has been the same. AMAZING. Horrible experience. Don't WASTE your time. As a regular listener of Dave Ramsey I requested a quote for my husband. After the online "quote'" I received an email and a call to discuss "further information" I then received the application VIA REGULAR MAIL (yeap! no electronic paperwork with them....) to fill & sign multiple forms and also instructions to setup physical test. After multiple follow ups (from me) I received a quote TWICE as high as the original quote due to medical findings (that were not accurate at all). They did not try to contact me to make sure that information was correct or to dispute it. No options AT ALL. Decided to stick with my insurance company USAA since there customer service is TOP NOTCH, prices are great and they process everything electronically. read more

I cancelled USAA auto/home policy after 48 years & went with Zander for better coverage w/ lower rates! Dorothy LISTENED to me, was professional, courteous, & PERSONALLY RETURNED MY CALLS! Time warp back to the 60's for honestly interested people giving personal service! Forgot to ask about short term disability/nursing home insurance but I'll follow up. Has to be better than Banker's Life rate. I'd give 7 or 8 stars if I could, but 5 will do for now. I spoke with someone in the Identity theft department named Michael early in the morning on 8/9, I was scared already because I had thought I was screwed and someone had my identity. Someone had been using my signature and withdrawing money out of my account at the bank. After calling him he was very calming and was able to make me feel so good about my coverage with Zander Insurance, even though I wasn't active when I called. He set my account back up for me and made it clear that just because we won't cover what I wasn't active for doesn't mean this company isn't here to help. We had a fine experience with Zander. We've purchased term life policies through them and have their identity theft protection. We've gone through the life insurance process 3x with them - since we recently added another policy to have more coverage. All times were the same - quick, helpful service on the phone; a visit with the person who comes to the house for urine/blood samples; more helpful service via phone w/Zander. Pretty uneventful each time! We've sent others there who have also reported positive experiences. I just bought a homeowners and auto insurance policy from Zander and had an awesome experience. I moved from Ca to TN and had previous coverage with State Farm. The agent was only concerned with selling me other policies whenever I went in for a "policy review". It felt like he didn't listen to my needs. My new agent, Justin, asked questions and then listened to me. In addition, he gave me valuable advice about changing some of my coverage limits because of my husbands occupation. By far the best prices. Customer service is quick to address concerns or issues, professional and polite. I had a completely different experience with them than the negative reviewers on this page. I felt like they seemed better organized than most companies I've dealt with. We missed a couple of questions on our forms causing zander to have to send an additional document which arrived within a couple of days (opposite side of the county). They never lost their patience with us, even after we forgot to return it and even though we caused them more work than an average policy.
